The Car battery test (automobile)

Hello world

I'm new to Labview test and I would like to learn how it works for example of a car battery test, test diesel Injector and other parts for the automotive industry. I would ask your suggestion where I start. My question is not directly test a car battery, but my approach is to deepen my knowledge in particular to this.

Best regards

Ravi

Hello

Little case studies for battery management systems are listed here:

Go to NI.com and use search to find articles on a particular area.

You can also call the local representative or who should be able to give you more details about your particular case.

Hope this informationis helpful for you.

  • problem loading iphone in the car

I recently started having trouble charging my iphone 5 in my car. I plug the adapter to load on the power point, to hang the phone on the dashboard and start a podcast, audiobook, or satellite radio, and in a few hours my phone was dead. Used to be the phone remained at or close to 100% as long as it was plugged.

My phone does not take a charge as he used to, but it charges fine in the House or the backup battery. I thought it might be the adapter, but after much frustration and experimentation, he finds that it charges fine in our van for company with the same card. Also my battery is not well in my car.

Finally, I got my electric Tester and found that I have only about 10.5 volts at the outlet in my car, against 11.9 volts in the van and my mom's car. Could this be why my phone does not charge? Or is there something escapes me? This is a major hassle on long trips.

    Thank you

    Tom

If you have a good quality USB power source, the input voltage shouldn't matter. What IS important is the output current. If it is the connector of the car, it is probably only 0.5 amps. The iPhone needs at least 1.0 amps and more is better. Get a good quality car USB adapter.

  • The infamous battery HP Mini saga continues...

Hi all, I have; again, I put another HP Mini, this one is a 210-2005sa and it will not charge the batteries, it is the 17th I was given to try and correction, of 16 previously, 14 was put in a cell, with the owners cursing HP. I read so many posts and how angry people are, and they feel left down from HP that I wouldn't touch a HP product if you paid me. I really feel for these people and I feel very frustrated that I can't help it

    What I've done so far.

    • Tested the original CA/charger adapter, result was good.
    • Tried a charger multi-tensions thirdparty sold by Maplins, I also tested this adapter, the result was good.
    • Bought a new battery; battery supplied with 87% of costs
    • New battery discharged as by troubleshooting of this post, in fact I tried everything in this post, short standing leg and bark like a dog for this PC to load.
    • I pressed F2 ran the diagnostic test of HP for Batteries, result on new battery: Replace (00000042) result on battery: Replace (00000042)
    • Tested a new battery on a HP Mini work; My neighbor has one, and its one of the two that I am once again, it loads well, that the older battery do not have.
    • Run all tests to check the whole system.
    • Updated the BIOS after finding on the BIOS that sucked the life expectancy of the battery.
    • Tried to pray, no answer.
    • Replaced the DC Jack with cable, just out of pure frustration, even though I knew it wasn't a problem but tired mad men do crazy things. I have it two-way for the original.
    • Battery has charge of 5 to 7 percent about for the moment.

Came here to see if anyone can add any vision more

Update: a factory reset tonight and have always the same question, I find it ridiculous that one has to jump through hoops to try to get the part of a device such as the function of the way its so-called battery designed to do.  I've never had this problem on any other portable, so what makes HP different?

Just installed Windows 8 just for the sake of curiosities and same problem. Got bored, watching crap TV so I did a Live USB Linux, going to try it in a little bit, because if everything else fails switch to Linux.

I just had a chat with the owner of the Mini HP asked them what they want to do, they said that if she cannot be sorted by the end of the day they will just it's bin. So I have until midnight to solve an insoluble problem.

Put hand of an identical 210 HP Mini-2005sa, made some comparisons on drivers, settings etc and they were more like * beep * identical but for the fact one accused to the other it didn't. The battery I bought loaded into the good, as he has done in my neighbors, all right, namely the battery was finally confirmed as good. Personally, I think that this is a case of components faulty/bad i.e. poor quality or defective chips, poor soldering, a short circuit somewhere or bad cables / defective. Anyway there are some problems of quality control with the battery on these netbooks system to be explored by HP. I really don't think HP understand how much damage's done it to them, maybe they just don't care, maybe its just arrogance, who knows, but suffice it to say that I have met many people who start off HP products due to the lack of obvious honest answer to a material question. The fact that you have to jump through hoops to get even a battery working properly doesn't prove that something is wrong. I've never known such a farce with a battery. My client and I decided it was time to call it closes and he resigned to the dustbin of uneconomic repairs, I explained that he could still be used with the battery removed and the power adapter is plugged but it said 'no, I'm going to buy another brand' so after having removed the HARD drive, it was ignored. He sold the pile of work to my neighbor for £30.00 and I put the HARD drive in an external enclosure, I pinched the screen of spare parts.

  • 13 "MBP 8.1 died strangely - but battery test as well

    Material: MBP 8.1 (early 2011) - dual-core 2.7 GHz i7 / Intel HD Graphics 3000 / 8 GB RAM / 512 GB HD

    Software: OSX 10.11.5

The battery & Techtool Pro from the current battery to 93% health (max 5368 / 5770 mAh), 408 cycles, cycle of 59.2% of remaining life, 12.4, 85.5 F Temp.

My Macbook Pro suddenly began to die if it is connected - and he dies in a very strange way.

    • If it is unplugged, it gets at halfway, then the progress bar stops, then it is replaced by a whited-out overlay, it hangs on and eventually fades to return with only the cursor arrow showing. If you plug it in while it's a failure, it will continue commissioning successfully.
    • If we do work disconnected, spikes of the use of the CPU to 100% (Activity Monitor), the fan turns on and the computer becomes incredibly slow to take any input. Eventually, it becomes black and fails.

If it is still plugged in, it will work normally. So far. Here's what I did:

    • A lot of hardware tests through Techtool Pro 8, starting from the eDrive (sensors, RAM, disk, battery, graphics, fans). All pass.
    • Full scan through Bitdefender for Mac. Pass.
    • SMC no help.
    • Taken a great local IT shop, who have used tools from Apple service provider to run tests of hardware on the motherboard, battery, etc. All passes.

Tests have limitations, and I can build a scenario that would pass the machine tests and still no this way. I really like my Macbook Pro (there the Spartans of Frank Miller on the cover) and she would rather than replace it with something. I could spend $100 to replace battery-, but there is no indication that this is the problem.

Anyone here ever seen or heard of something like that?

Does anyone have advice, ideas re: possible causes, or corrections that I've not considered?

Boot safe mode. Determine if it starts and runs in this mode, when it is connected to the power adapter and when not.

  • Equium A100 - 331 (PSAABE) where is the BIOS battery?

    Hello

Please can someone explain where I would find the BIOS for this laptop battery? Looked where I could but no luck to find the battery without disassembling the entire computer.

I receive a CMOS Checksum error and want to check the battery. Unfortunately lately, the computer starts hanging for a while before we get to the BIOS password section (which I use)

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Alguien

To access the BIOS battery disassemble everything laptop.

Before doing this test to load the BIOS battery. Connect laptop to the power supply and allow 48 hours.

In user manuals, you can find table with exact battery charge time.

  • Re: Where is the CMOS battery in Toshiba NB100?

    Hi guys,.

I disassembled my nb100 and have been to look at the motherboard for centuries, trying to find the CMOS battery.
Basically, my netbook is not in the bios, it is just stuck on the Toshiba start screen.
so I thought I would try to remove the cmos battery to see if that could fix the problem.

So if someone could please tell me where I could the cmos battery?

    > Basically my netbook will not go into the bios, it remains just stuck on the home screen Toshiba.
    > so I thought I would try to remove the cmos battery too see if that would solve the problem.

I doubt that this will help you solve this problem
First and foremost the CMOS is soldered to the motherboard (in most cases).
I think there must be a problem with a motherboard if the laptop is unable to pass the POST (power on self test).
Basically, all that might be affected; RAM, etc.

I think you should check the RAM first, if that is not enough, then an ASP should try to reflash the BIOS, otherwise the motherboard needs to be replaced.

  • Satellite L500-1KK - how to the maximum battery time?

    Hello

    1. it is indicated on the product specifications L500-1kk expected autonomy is about 03:20 Hrs use mobile brand! However, I was using my laptop for almost a year now, the maximum battery time I get is 02:15 Hrs, whenever I load my mobile suit, the battery still bar program shows me this maximum time remaining! I use the default power settings!

    2. most intriguing, is that my sister used another laptop, its battery is approximately the same capacity that mine, around 43200 mWh, us both using Windows 7 Ultimate (she 32bits, I, 64-bit version), but its battery time is at least 4.5 Hrs. Why is this, and how I would maximize my battery time!

    3. Finally, her laptop is new (4 months, yet battery pro program shows that the battery wear rate is 7%, my laptop is almost a year and it shows a wear rate of 1.3%, I use mostly my laptop while the power is plugged in, unplugged rarely!) Is their an explanation to the different rates of wear?

    Thank you

    Hello

To be honest, I think a battery about 02:15 hours is good and I think that everything is ok with your laptop. My new Satellite A500 I also only 2.5 hours if I running on battery, sometimes less than 2 hours or less. That s always according to the applications you run.

    > 2. More intriguing, is that my sister used another laptop, its battery is approximately the same capacity as mine, around 43200 mWh, we're both using Windows 7 Ultimate (she 32bits, I, 64-bit version), but its battery time is at least 4.5 Hrs. Well, it s the same you compare two cars with the same ch from different manufactures a car's fuel consumption higher than the other car, even it have the same hp. Why? Well, the different manufacturers using different parts: other tires, gears, weight, dray of air, etc.

You can compare two identical notebooks or cars from the manufacturing even to find a problem, but * not * from different manufacturers. ;)

  • World for the voluntary battery replacement program

Hello. I am concerned about the voluntary battery replacement.

My laptop is: Tecra S3, manufactured at 2006-02-21 (ordered in 2006-03-14). Model number is: PTS30E-01R01CG3. I tried the software for testing, but he said that I'm not concerned. Eight days latter, I saw this new article (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/news_article.jsp?service=EU&ID=Battery_Pack_Replac ement_09_2006 & cnt = NEWS & key = Battery_Pack_Replacemen t_09_2006 & display = T) and I definitely want to participate.

Before a few weeks, I noticed that my battery wear level is 17%, which is not normal (never checked to see what is the initial value was), because from the beginning, I used to follow the instructions for the use of battery of security!
I am from Bulgaria and I would like to know if I can replace my battery.

    Thank you.

    Hello

To my knowledge, the warranty will cover battery for one year.
In my opinion it should be no problem with the battery replacement if the warranty is valid.
In this case, contact the Toshiba service partner in your country and ask for help.

By the way: as Sam mentioned in the post above only are not all but only some notebooks between March and may was affected and there could be only one problem with the loading and unloading of procedure.

  • Question about the care for Portege Z30A tool batteries

    Hello

I used some thinkpads with the function to take care for the conditioning of the laptop battery.
A useful feature is to disable if you plug the power adaptor so charged above for example, 75% of battery charge.

It monitors the condition of the battery and advises when a cycle of preparation is necessary.
Is there a such use for the Porteges or should I use a third party program?

    How about BatteryCare utility?

It is a free utility that helps you keep your laptop in good condition battery.
It monitors the battery discharge cycles and helps to increase independence and improve life expectancy. In addition, it provides detailed information battery and monitors the battery discharge cycles.

But Toshiba also provides own software called Toshiba PC health monitor.
It gives you a graphical overview easy to read things like the temperature of the portable computer, the fan speed and the condition of your battery.

  • Satellite L750D shows the internal battery warning message

Audio and video of my computer are slowing to almost as noise. I recently saw an error/warning note onto the internal battery life ending (?)

What does that mean? What should I do?

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have and how old is your machine?
It is possible that the battery is quite old and needs to be replaced.

But with the sound and the video is a little strange to me. To be honest I can't even imagine what is happening exactly. Did you test using different audio and video sources? Is the result always the same?

  • Probook HP 4430: battery test is not

When I turn on my Probook 4430, the alert specified baterry, main internal battery code 601. When I ran a test of the battery via the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup enabled me to access. I replaced the laptop computer charger through recall of HP and it only allowed me to exploit the Probook when it was plugged. What is the best?

Looks like you need to replace the battery. A bad battery can in some cases even stop boot up of your laptop. For what it is worth, the error message refers to the removable battery, not the actual internal battery on the motherboard.

  • HP G6 series: what change the CMOS battery buy for my HP G6 Series?

I need to replace my CMOS battery. My laptop is a HP G6. When I search the product number sometimes like a G6-1b60us. One new replacement CMOS battery I see listed on eBay are for HP G6-2000. This CMOS battery works for my HP?  I see those listed that are for HP G6-1000, but they are all used. Is this the one I need to buy? Thank you very much.

    Hello

You asked for the CMOS battery. But the 601 error indicates that this is the MAIN battery that powers your machine. Now, pull, get the part # and order one for your laptop. But before that, you can test according to the following instructions.

    Windows 7:

    http://support.HP.com/au-en/document/c00821536

    Windows 8 and 8.1

    http://support.HP.com/au-en/document/c03325217

Case of failure, you need to buy the new battery.

    Kind regards.

  • video files do not work on the rocket / battery life only half

I can't read music on my Sansa 4 GB rocket videos. I use Sansa media converter. I want to watch videos on it but I wait like 20 to 30 minutes just to appear in the menu and see just a black screen when I try to watch it. I think a new firmware update might help. Did someone herd all the rumors when a new will be available? I really like the "rocket", but I noticed that there are a lot of bugs in the programming.                                                                                                                                Also the battery life lasts about 12 hours (assumed to be 24 hours).  I have an extended through shack radio warranty is possible that they will be able to fix this?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Thank you for your time, Sansa65

Not sure of your video problem, but can only talk about music? Format (WMA, Ogg, FLAC, MP3)? Bitrate? Using MP3 at 128 Kbps should give you 24 hours. If you use FLAC or (my favorite) Oggs, or a higher rate, then you are going to consume more energy. If this is not the case and that you use 128 Kbps MP3s, then load the "rocket" completely up, play music on it until it dies (don't stop it, it stop automatically when the battery is too low), then load it completely upwards without interruption (the battery icon stops flashing and disappears from the Lightning). You should not discharge/recharge the battery as it more than twice. This should recalibrate the battery (such as, to synchronize the farm while she knows exactly how responsible it is). Sometimes, when a battery test it in the factory or use over a long period of time UN-calibrates the battery.
