The cause of the problem firmware update?

I did a update firmware a couple of days to my router WRT54G2 and had no problem with the update process.

All my devices that use this router WIFI signal work fine except one.

The device that does not like it was before the update of the firmware, is my ready printer without wire/cloud of month old Canon.

Before the update I could send jobs to the printer using my Galaxy tablet, but now, the State of the printer is shown as constantly being shelved offline.

I used the option refresh the printer one or two times on the Tablet, uninstalled and reinstalled Google cloud and print them out another version of cloud print on the Tablet, restarted the Tablet and the printer a couple of times, but the printer will not always appear online when you use the tablet.

The use of printer to appear offline on the Tablet after a few days of non-use due to what I thought was a wifi connection dropped but, all I had to do was turn the printer power off and power on and then it would seem once again on the Tablet and it would print jobs sent to it from the tablet.

It was suggested to me by a Canon customer service representative to do the update of the firmware on router because he suspected that the firmware of the router is needed to solve the problem of wifi signal has dropped.

What I was wondering is, is it possible that the router can be the problem?

The strange thing is, I am able to send print jobs to the printer using my desktop computer connected to my home network via a usb wireless adapter. The printer will print jobs sent from the desktop.

I was talking to a Canon representative earlier this evening and I thought we had the problem fixed.

He had me make a few changes to some of the printer settings and we could print some printing test pages.

He assigned a static IP address to the printer.

It wasn't until later when I went to use the Tablet, I realized that the problem was not resolved.

My mistake was not using the tablet to print the test pages when dealing with the representative of Canon.

I used my desktop computer.

I just assumed that the changes made to the printer settings, could be picked up by the Tablet PC, but now the Tablet can't detect the printer even after that I reversed IP address settings

. I'll call Canon again to see if they have a solution to the problem, but I just wanted to get some thoughts of people here with respect to if they think that the router is the issue or not.

Check the connection wirelessly with devices that use the Internet. You experience any decline with the connection? How the internet speed? No problems with it? If there is nothing, so don't worry about the router, it doesn't work as expected. If the problem is with the Tablet and printer, then focus on these two. If other computers communicate with each other in the network, then there is no problem with the router.

  • Stuck on "the porgress firmware update"

    My son tried to add a few new songs, but for some reason any that it got stuck on "a refresh database" no matter what we tried, I couldn't get out of this. Then we tried the update of the firmware auto it wouldn't recognize the drive because he was in mtp mode?

    There is no way to change because you cannot access the GUI of the player. We started the sansa with hold/lock on and pushing the rewind button or what ever that is. And then we can connect and firmware has been added. He said to unplug the usb cord so he can take place and we did it he went immediately to the "the progress screen firmware update" I kept check on this subject and he stayed there for hours I let go until the battery ran out. I have rehooked the usb cable to the device to it turned on and it still says the current firmware update and is stuck there. It's the e250 V2 he says only he back that we connected using mac and linux windows. No idea how to solve this problem?

    That's what I did that worked. I turned it maintenance/lock held the central button and inserted the usb cord. Once windows recognizes the device I went to my computer and the root directory entry of the I DELETED MTABLE. SYS once it has been deleted, I turned off immediately and turn it back on. When she came back on the updated database and I could connect normally. I dropped the new firmware in the directory root disconnected the cable and it said the upgrade of firmware and then accepted said and rebboted and he's fine now. Thank you for all your help and suggestions.  One question is what usb mode would work well with windows xp/vista, mac osx and linux (ubuntu)? Because we often move between these systems.

    The upgrade went well and my Wired PC all connected without any problem, but several of my wireless devices were unable to connect to the WiFi. I have my cell phone Wifi (Android phone) kept gives me an error of authentication, but was able to connect to the network comments... weird...

    I started firmware 1.0.4 and everything worked well again... it seems that the new firmware is buggy.

    The Firmware versions listed above are only for the first three issues, to save typing, but you get the version that I use...

    I would like to let you know, I've improved in 1.0.6 last night and everything worked. The difference is this time I had to reset my router to the factory settings using the reset hidden at the back button and hold the button for about 7-10 seconds. This resets the router to the factory settings. I then had to re-enter all my IP address reservations and the word block list, but all my wireless devices were able to connect. The last time I did the upgrade, I just restarted the router, and I had read that I had to do a factory reset to operate correctly.

    It would have been nice for Netgear arrive at a way to extract Information form my version last-place back... it would have saved me a lot of time...

    I was wondering if there is any news on an update of firmware for the Camileo Pro EU version.
    Maybe after that flashing to a new version fixed my screen. It suddenly went very bright some time
    There are and I can't seem to do anything. Would rather not send it for repair, lack
    IT has batch.

    Downloads of files consistantly with a 467 720 KB file size.

    "The process of updating the firmware has not been successful. The file you have selected may not be good, or the problem may be due to a transmission error. »

    1. How can you contact HP for updating the firmware file.

  • Sansa Clip + Player ignores the titles with sound of frying after the last firmware update

    My Sansa Clip + tracks audio playback stopped (same mp3 files it used to always play) after I updated to firmware 1.02.18A.

    The player jumps just all tracks with sound of frying one after the other.  No longer play.

    What's wrong??

    Is it possible to fix it?

    Is it possible to revert to the original firmware version 1.02.15 that worked well?

    I don't know what the problem actually was, but certainly it's associated BONE.
    I'm at home in my Windows 7 and everything works perfectly now.

    The problem I experienced was at work, where I have Windows XP SP3 OS.

    On Windows 7 home, I copy the MP3 files in MSC mode and don't play them no problem at all.

    Driver to work on Windows XP may be defective or unsuitable for copy files correctly on the drive using the MSC mode.

    I do not know. At least, everything works fine now.

    P.S. The funniest is that tech support lady told me that my drive is ruined and it is absolutely impossible to fix.

    She also said that it is impossible to install the previous version of firmware absolutelly and that it not there no previous version of the firmware available more she also said that the only way to "solve" the problem is for me to buy a new player

  • Sansa E250V2 freezes on the current Firmware update

    I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere - I search but could not find anything directly address this issue. The problem:

    Some time ago my Sansa E250V2 gave me a screen that says the updating of the database. The Sansa would freeze at this point. I finally learned here that this problem could be solved by installing the new firmware. I put the sansa in forced MSC mode and addedd the latest version, 03.01.16. Now I no longer get the update database. Unfortunately, I get a 'Firmware update in progress"which continues until I turned off the unit or the battery runs out. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    I finally found a solution. It was frustrating simple. I had to format the directory root in forced MSC mode. I then updated the firmware again and everything worked perfectly. Thank you very much for your time!

  • the iDRAC6 firmware update failed during the process

    One of my colleagues went to a customer who has a few problems with the upgrade of its most recent firmware iDRAC6.
    Case 1
    R710 - with firmware version 1.41-> 1.54 fails to 30%

    Case 2
    With the firmware 1.54-> 1.70 R710 - fails to 30%. Also I tried 1.54-> 1.80 fails also to 30%.

    In both cases we found no indicationin error log files. Download was fine, checksum is ok, only FW upgrade failed, but no details.
    It's a common mistake? What can we do to work around this error?

    I finally after trying to update iDRAC 6 version 1.0.3.10 to 1.98.8 (last update of this post)

    The update (stuck) were held 30%.

    Solution is to download "firming.d6" * wait 5 minutes * before clicking on the button update to begin loading the new firmware.

    R610 server would not update unless the server has been turned off and then follow instructions above.

    If I clicked the button to update firmware soon after downloading the file, it would always fail at 30%.

  • TV 23EL933G - two things for the nex firmware update

    My girlfriend gave me this TV as a birthday gift and I really like it, but I have two things that maybe Toshiba can give us in the next update of the firmaware.

    These two things are:

    -DTS: the quality of 1080 p mkv files is incredible, but without DTS sound lose some of the fun;
    -Subtitles: I think that the size of the subtitles is too small and I don't like the color yellow so I hope that, in the next firmware, you can choose the size and color of the subtitles.

    My M277dw printer is automatically downloaded and installed a firmware update last night.

    The datecode on the printer now shows 20160606.

    The update took me by surprise because I was in the middle of a print session.

    Is it a real update?  If yes where can I find the notes that this version is not on the driver download page.

    All the firmware update are directly from the HP Server. They are automatic HP where to connect to the network.

    I don't have details of which fixed the update but not yet posted to the customer of the USB. The update last two were to improve the network connection and built-in web server looks like.

    You don't have to worry about melware on the printer, as melware is a computer-based software. Can not be installed on printers.  Remember to update the printer firmware are link updateing the BIOS on a computer.

  • WRT160N v2: the latest firmware update went wrong!

    I just bought this new thing, it is not connected to the internet (wrt160n-> cable modem-> internet)

    so I tried the last thing: upgrade to the latest firmware 2.0.02
    The upgrade - trial went fast enough at 98%, but remained there for about 3-5 minutes.

    Then finally: successful update.

    It has rebooted, my computer got an IP address again, but still no internet.
    So I went to the page of configuration of the wrt160n, entered ID + password and then...

    ... a screen almost empty! No menu, page actually kind of corrupt.
    I unplugged the router from the power, waited for 60 seconds, retried: same question.

    Any thoughts?

    Did you try a hard reset, use a pen that I think just next to the power plug to the back of the router there is a reset button with the router connected to the power hold it down until you see the flashing front light put your factory after that

    1. set up your router using the cd that came with it

    2. After setting up is done and you are able to go online try the update again

    that should do the job

    I have a unit of WRT54G2 v1 and I recently updated the firmware to v1.0.04. During the upgrade process, I waited for about 15 minutes until suddenly the browser is empty and said "Page could not be displayed. The led on the power supply unit was still flashing. I left the unit for another 15 minutes before turning off the camera and turning turn it on again after 10 seconds. I was able to connect to the device and the display state:

    Firmware Version: 1.0.04)is build 005, June 16, 2009

    All my configs are still intact and I can surf on the internet according to normal. However I am a little worried because the upgrade process did not go as smooth as I expected. Is there a reason to worry? How can I make sure that the upgrade has been a total success? Thank you!

    Some time after upgrading the firmware on the router, we get the message "Cannot display the Page" instead of "update is successful. Don't you worry in this regard that under the status tab, you have found the right firmware with the correct date. However as you upgrade the router, I suggest you to reset the router and reconfigure as appropriate.

    I have a toshiba satellite a40 - 231.it unbootable because I flashed it's drive(sdr-6112) dvd - rw with the wrong firmware and I also made a mistake in making a non bootable back active partition, try to Flash the correct firmware. So my question is: can I boot from the usb flash drive? I think it's the only option I have left, if not network startup.

    As far as I know it of not possible to start other devices from the USB FDD / HDD / CD-ROM / LAN

    You can boot from network, but if you want to install the OS via the LAN you will need a RIS server. But it's not easy to do without any additional experience. So I think that this option isn't for you.

    It seems that the drive is dead or is malfunctioning and that is why the best idea is to replace the device's drive. I know, it's hard to hear that, but I don't see any other solution
