• [question/help] pool remove the folder in the console view administrator

  Hey all,.

  someone in my office has created a folder for pools but made a typo and I am trying to remove the folder from the pool, but I can't find out how.

  Since it's a little hard to describe, I will try to detail as much as possible.

  When I view vmware administrator, I click on "Pools" on the left pane and it will list all my stocks on the right pane.   Under the display configuration, administrators Folders tab shows up.  You can remove it from there.  You must ensure that no fund pools are inside it or she won't let you delete it.  You can remove the offices of the record pool with remove them at view 5.1.

  

• VMware vCenter Console view showing bad VM

  I'm having a problem with the console view, no matter who else seen elsewhere?

  When I'm connected to vSphere through vCenter and view open the console of a virtual computer, the VM wrong opens. It's consistantly past with each VM on the same host.

  When I connect directly to the host, I have no problem opening the virtual machine in the console.

  Would - this something to do with the reference VM being screwed up ID?

  FYI I applied all critical updates to host the Sam, which may very probably be the cause. I am now on ESXi 5.5.0, 1623387

  Any help would be apprecated!

  For anyone having the same problem, I contacted support VMWare and got a resolution. The question was simple but easy to forget.

  When we corrected the host, the version of vCenter we had was more compatible and cannot properly manage the host. The resolution has been updated the vCenter server. He had then disconnect and reconnect the host concerned in order to obtain the vCenter working with the host.

• How can I remove selected Custom view (s) of the event viewer Console tree?

  I looked at the MMC Help on create and manage custom views.

  I can't find a way to remove the custom filter views in the Console tree, which can be found on the left side of the event viewer.

  Problem solved

  I asked this question because I was unable to see what was going on in the event viewer and I couldn't find help in mmc HTML Help. However, now I see what's happening and I can give you a solution to my own question.

  Cause

  If I connect to the computer as a user with administrator privileges, I am able to use the event viewer to create a custom view filter that can be used by all users who have access to the event viewer. If I fix remove a view filter custom Console tree, I can't delete it unless I'm logged in as the user who created it.

  Solution

  1. Log the computer as the user who created the custom view.
  2. Start Event Viewer
  3. Use the right-click of the mouse on a custom view filter selected in the Console tree, open the drop down menu.
  4. Delete appears fourth in the bottom of the menu if and only if you are logged on as the user who created this view.
  5. Select Remove to remove the filter to custom view.

  If Delete does not appear in the drop-down menu, then it may not possible you connect as the user who created the custom view.

  Just to follow and finish this, the old MAIN drive has had some problems and was

  continues to worsen, it ends up by crashed.  scannow revealed some Windows system

  Files were corrupted and could not be repaired.  After the crash, I used the blank hard disc 500 gig

  and did a restore of the system since the disks created with the purchase and restored the system to

  "DAY 1".   Yes all the data and installed programs are missing, but I reinstalled my software.

  Adding external or internal disks worked without any problem now.

  I created a Windows 7/64 system repair disc.

  I created an Image of the system.

  I have a backup plan.

  I do the scheduled backup.

  I learned a lesson...

• See that login replication server are not in the Administrator Console view

  I installed a laboratory environment to view with 2 connection view CS1 and CS2 (replica) servers. I use VMware-viewconnectionserver-x86_64 - 5.1.2 - 928164 for v5.1.2 installation.

  After installation and reboot of the servers, I don't see that CS2 listed under the connection servers, only CS1 appears in the list. However, when I connect to the console administrator display on CS2 replica server, I see the two servers in the list.
  On verification of registry settings on the servers, I find the correct entries under HKEY_LM\Software\VMware, Inc. \VMware VDM\ServerInstanceType 1 on CS1 = and = 2 on CS2. I chose to set Windows Firewall rules to be updated automatically during the installation. Both servers are on the same VLAN.

  I am able to connect to the virtual desktop when connecting using the client independently discovers a connection server, but after doing some additional testing, I found that pairing does not work properly. I've disabled its own console CS1 and updated servers on CS2 and CS1 watch still active console after several updates. • How to anchor the console browser

  I feel like this is one these questions silly, but for the life of me I can't find the answer.
  The first time I opened the console to the browser (Ctrl + Shift + J) it was anchored at the bottom of the Web page I'm viewing. For some reason any it undocked himself and opens in a new window whenever I open it now.

  How can I get the browser console to anchor it at the bottom of the page again?

  Note that this is recorded in the pref devtools.toolbox.host (window, at the bottom) that is modified accordingly if you click on the toolbar buttons.

• PCs indicating "No. Status" in the console of WSUS 3.1

  I am running WSUS 3.1 in an environment of about 4000 PCs.  1924 of them are displayed in the console as "No Status".  However when I look in the column of the latest situation report I see that most of them have recently checked 6/23.

  I would use the view overview page to get an accurate reading of how many computers have their patches and how much more need of them, but with so many 'No. Status' it is difficult to do.  What would be the best way to report on the State of our management systems other than the use of this page as it does not report 'right now' status, but rather a status "we will see after we report today.

  Hello, I just reformatted my Dell 2400 that came with xp home svc pk 1a.

  After 10 hours of update, I am now running xp family with svc pk 3 and ie8.

  I have a valid xp disc 2 with winnt32.exe pro svc pk, xp home does not have this in i386.

  Can I use my drive pro to install on my XP Home Edition recovery console?

  If you look at your folder i386 with Explorer, you will need to tell explore not to hide extensions of known file types so you can see the extensions (such as .exe) otherwise the file extensions will be all hidden.

  Open the Explorer in the folder of interest
  Click on tools
  Click on the folder view tab Options
  Enable: Show hidden files and folders (select this option)
  Disable: Hide extensions of known file types (uncheck)

  You can undo these changes later if you find them annoying.
   
  For example, your WINNT32 with the blue circle point to mark (which indicates a help file) would then become WINNT32. HLP.  Go ahead, double click it and it will open as a help file.

  The fact that you can access the application from the list of tasks means that there is a problem with the IOM contacting SOA.
  

  It's actually the SOA ForeignJNDIProvider detail which used to activate the feature list of tasks within the IOM UI.  So check ForeignJNDIProvider-SOA (in the WLS Console, slot-> Services-> foreign JNDI providers) and make sure that the values of weblogic user and password are correct.  In addition, the URL of the provider must be the location of t3 (s) of soa servers managed - this value will match the RmiURL mentioned by Dmitry.

  If there has been changes in the environment recently (IE... Configuration of SSL, admin password, adding LBR, etc.), you will need to use the instructions in AdminGuide to ensure that everything will work together as a result of these changes.
