  • CAP - error! 907: given the icon is too big

    Hi all

As the title says, I've just added a file icon my project (Eclipse-> properties of Blackberry project-> resources-> files of icons)

    The error I get is-

Error! 907: given the icon are too big: 20751 bytes

    The size is 20 KB.

Is there a limit on the maximum size of the file icon?

    Thank you

    Teja

This looks like a project or installation of the BlackBerry plugin has gone corrupt. Try to add the icon itself to a new project and see if it is supported. If so, then its your project. If it isn't then there may be your workspace.

Try the same thing in a new workspace. If it fails in the new workspace, you may need to reinstall.

    Hello

    • What version of Winodws XP do you use?

    Unfortunately, it is not possible.

You can use the backup utility to back up files and folders on a computer that is running Windows XP.

If you use Windows XP Home Edition, you can refer to the following steps:

Before you can back up important information on your computer, you must install the backup utility. The backup utility is included on the Windows XP Home Edition CD.

Note If you do not have the original CD of Windows XP Home Edition of Windows XP was preinstalled on your computer, contact the computer manufacturer or visit the Web site of the manufacturer for more information. You can also use the backup software that you purchase separately.

To install backup from the Windows XP CD:

    1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD or DVD from the computer player.
    2. Click exit.
    3. Locate the: \ValueAdd\Msft\Ntbackup folder on the CD.
    4. Double-click ntbackup.msi to install the backup utility.
    5. When the backup or Restore Wizard prompts you, click Finish.
    6. Remove the Windows XP CD.

Now that you have installed the backup utility, you are ready to back up your important information.

If you use Windows XP Professional, to back up your files and folders, follow these steps:

Note To back up files and folders, you must be connected to the computer as an administrator or as a user who belongs to the Administrators group. To verify that you are connected to Windows with a user account is an administrator on the computer, see the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/Admin (http://support.microsoft.com/gp/admin)

Note The following steps explain how to use the backup utility to back up your files and folders manually. You can also use the backup and Restore Wizard to back up your files and folders. However, the steps will be slightly different from those that are listed in the next section.

Step 1: Open the backup utility

    1. Click Startand then click run.
    2. Type ntbackup.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.

Note If you receive the following error message, make sure that you followed the steps in the "how to install the backup utility" section correctly:

    Windows cannot find 'ntbackup.exe'.
Step 2: Select the items to back up and select the location for the backup file
    1. Click Advanced Mode.

Note If the backup and Restore Wizard, the utility runs in Wizard mode. You can click to clear the always start in Wizard mode check box, and then restart the backup utility. • In the menu of task , click new.
  • Select the check boxes next to the drives you want to back up. If you select files or folders, expand the drive where these files or folders. Then, select the check boxes for the files or folders you want to back up.

  • If it is available to the backup destination list, click the backup destination that you want to use.

Note If you selected file at this point, type the path and the full name for which you want to back up data in the backup media or file name box.

You can specify a network share as a destination for the backup file. Generally, backup files have the .bkf file name extension. However, you can use any extension of file name you want.

  • Step 3: Start the backup

    1. To open the backup information dialog box, click Start Backup .
    2. Under If the media already contains backups, perform one of the following:
      • If you want to add this backup file to previous backup files, click append this backup to the media. This option adds the new backup in the existing backup file so that you can keep all the previous backups in a single file. This option is useful if you ever want to restore a backup from a specific day. Be aware that the size of the backup file will increase with each new backup. You can monitor the file size to make sure that it does not fill your hard drive over time. If the file becomes too large, you should consider saving the file on an external hard drive. Or, if you are concerned about the file using too much hard disk space, select replace the data on the media with this backup instead.
      • If you want to replace the files of previous backup with this backup file, click replace the data on the media with this backup. This option is useful if you want to keep the current backup and do not care to keep the previous backups. Or, use this option if you are concerned about the file using too much disk space on your computer.
    3. Click Advanced.
    4. Select the check box Verify data after the backup .
    5. In the Backup Type box, click the type of backup that you want to create. For a description of each type of backup, click the backup type and the description appears under "Description." You can select all of the following types of backup:
      • Normal
      • Copy
      • Incremental
      • Premium
      • Every day
    6. Click OK, and then click Start Backup. A backup progress dialog box appears, and the backup starts.

Step 4: Leave the backup utility

    1. When the backup is complete, click close.
    2. In the menu of task , click exit.

  • Reset the default settings of the desktop folder

I wanted to change the location of my personal (user) of the C: drive to another. By mistake, I gave the location of the desktop as D:\ folder. The result was not to my liking (instead of the desktop folder, I saw the folder on the drive (same icon and the bar blue % used).) I tried to change the settings in the registry, which was advised by another site. They told me to make the following changes:

    "

To do this, go to start > run, type "regedit" and get the keys listed below. You can create a string value extensible "Desktop" in the "User Shell Folders" key, if this value does not exist.

Now, double-click the name of the "Desktop" under "Shell Folders" and "User Shell Folders" respectively, to set a new path in their fields in the value data for your 'Office' folder

    Registry entries:

    • 1 registry entry:
      [HKEY_CURRENT_USER dossiers\]
      Key type: the current user
      Value name: Desktop
      Data type: REG_SZ (String Value)
      Value Enabled:
      Disabled value:
Another value: set the new path to the desktop folder.
    • 2 registry entry:
      [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell dossiers\]
      Key type: the current user
      Value name: Desktop
Data type: REG_EXPAND_SZ (expandable string value)
      Value Enabled:
      Disabled value:
Another value: set the new path to the desktop folder.

    "

I did, and she is back to normal. However, the desktop in the user directory folder is hidden , even if I put the path by default (the check box for the hidden option is grayed out). Also, the default icon for the Office changed default folder icon.

I want the desktop folder as it is. How can I do this?

Note: This was done in the administrator account.

I solved the problem of "hidden folder" by changing the attributes of the desktop folder. He was set to RHSD, I changed it to RD, remove hidden and system attributes, by using the command "attrib".

However, there is NO "desktop.ini" file in the desktop folder, or it is hidden so that I can't see it in the 7-Zip file manager. Does that create a problem? How can I do this? As far as I know, is that it is [.] ShellClassInfo] wrote the top of the page and there are two other elements, namely LocalizedResourceName and IconResource. What should I write in these two?

When I connect my thinkpad8 to any TV supports 1080 p it will always cut the image around the edge as if its too big, so when I drop the 720 p resolution, you end up with a huge black border.

I had a play with the graphics created intel and cannot see anyway to get on the scale so that the picture fills or adapts to the size of the TV screen.

Ive checked on the lenovo utilities / win update / update intel for gfx driver updates and there is not, I believe that my current version of the driver is 10.18.10.3643.

If someone can point me in the direction of a fix, I would be extremely grateful.

  • The desktop printer icon is no longer shows printer or scanner-controls specific to the

    I have a DeskJet 3050 a J611g all-in-one. I use Windows 7 64-bit.

Normally, when I doule - click the icon for the printer to my desktop, I get a window that shows the image of the printer and the HP logo at the top with several printer options and specific scanner click on below, for example, to start an analysis.

A few weeks ago, at the top of this window, I received a message, without doubt, windows, that said that there was an update (or development?) for the printing software, and I want to install it. I clicked on OK, something got quickly downloaded and installed, and this beautiful useful window transformed into a window printer Win7 pretty generic. The printer and scanner-specific options or hp disappeared. I always get the picture of the printer and the hp logo, etc., but in the lower part of this window all I see the following options:

HP printer Assistant / see what's printing / Set Preferences / customize your printer.

In addition, by clicking or double-clicking on "HP printer Assistant" does nothing. I can no longer start a scan in this window, for example.

The desktop printer icon is a shortcut to a program ('C:\Program HP HP Deskjet 3050 a J611 series\Bin\HP Deskjet 3050 a J611 series.exe') which seems to do nothing useful.

I tried to remove and reinstall the printer software, nothing helps.

I have downloaded and run the HP print and Scan, ver 3.0 doctor. He detected no downside. Finished, I tried to click on this icon to the desktop printer, and, hooray, I got the correct window with specific options that had disappeared. Great, I thought. I was even able to start a scan of this window. But I could do it only once. Subsequent calls to this program took back me to the generic window. And re - run the doctor no longer curative effect, that it was the first time.

Everyone knows about this problem? I don't do anything fancy, and I'm quite technical and detailed. I do not know how to begin to understand what happened after I agreed that puts the printer software.

I answer my own message to indicate that the problem has been resolved, at least for me. I found other threads that describe the problem I have, and one of them said there was a new version of the software that solves this problem. I found it, downloaded and installed, and indeed, the issue is resolved. I'm surprised HP Update did not find the new version, but SpongeBob... Thanks HP for having published the new version of the software.

  • The icons are too big for the screen

    Hello

Everything on my computer screen seems too big. From the icons, texts, programs like chrome (pages are inside the window more). I do not change the display settings recently, and I did the updates. It happened suddenly, out of the blue.

I tried to change the resolution, but it lists only two possible resolutions, 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600. Even when I change, it make no impact.

    What should I do?

Use a monitor dell with graphics card: adapter Standard VGA Graphics chipset graph mobile/desktop Intel R (HSW) device.

    OS: Windows 7 professional, 64-bit

Original title: everything seems too big on my computer

The fact that you have only two resolutions would indicate that the game graphics chip driver is not properly installed.

The Standard VGA adapter is the rescue driver Windows for what specific cannot be identified or are not available.

Depending on the hardware of the computer go to the manufacturer's website, search for your particular system, download and install the graphics driver. The screen itself is not relevant.

  • After installing the latest updates, my screen on large icons, screen too big for my moniter

the only way of difficulty was to uninstall updates.

After installing the latest updates, my screen on large icons, screen too large for my moniter the only way of difficulty was to uninstall updates.

Sounds like something in the update causes a conflict with your video driver or change the resolution settings.

The first thing to do to solve the problem is to try to install each of the updates one at a time instead of let Windows Update do several updates together.  If you're lucky, the problem can not ride again.  If so, you'll know at least update is the cause of the problem.

If the problem persists, try right click on an empty area of your desktop and select properties to open the display properties dialog box.  Select the settings tab.  Look to see if the screen is correctly identified and if the resolution seems correct.  If you spot something wrong, change to the correct setting.  If everything looks correct, you can try to change the resolution to see if that can solve the problem.

You can also check the website of the manufacturer of your graphics card to see if they have an updated display driver.  Updates of the operating system only sometimes work correctly if you have the latest version of the drivers for the various components.

If all else fails, you can uninstall the update one that is causing the problem and mark do not show you this update again in Windows updates.   Doing so will be considered a last resort - especially if the update in question is one of the security updates.
