The DVD eject button

Given that I've upgraded to Windows 10 my DVD eject button does not work on my Aspire 5810TZ, suggestions?

I found a solution to the problem.  I download and installed the Application OpticalDrive PM for Windows 7 64 bit and that did the trick!  This seemed to be the only problem with Windows 10 so far.

  • Dell XPS One A2010 CD eject button works only with Windows 7

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and everything seems to work fine, except the CD eject button does not work, can eject CD with Windows Explorer by right-clicking on the CD drive and select eject.

Down loaded and installed the R168233 - Intel DELL0100 proximity sensor Driver (ACPI) driver.  Failed to install (even after the course properties of the driver compatibility Vista file and selecting run as administrator).  Interestingly, Device Manager reports that the ACPI peripheral system Dell0100 utility works properly...

Chatted with Dell Technical Support and they said to try to install the driver of Quickset M2010 page.  Installation message: "this is not a supported system."

At this point, I guess that there is not a driver to get the manual eject button to work with Windows 7.  Are there the same system and OS with the functioning of the eject button?

I had the same problem for years and by trial and error solved via update drivers, it was either the driver 'Intel DELL0100 proximity sensor Driver (ACPI)' proximity in the pilot game System Utilities or the "Cypress Semiconductor media touch button panel" in the set of Chipset drivers.

Search drivers for model 2010 in Dell support section (or enter your service Tag #)

After I updated those drivers, touchpad for media/volume started to work fine in Win7

  • On Windows 7, by pressing the eject button on the DVD player sometimes causes the monitors to twinkle

My PC works fine for just about everything, except when I need to pop in a CD or DVD. It seems random, but when I hit the eject button on the DVD player, my screens sometimes twinkle. It happens about once every 5 times as the button eject. I'm running a dual monitor, with a monitor on a DVI input and the other on a HDMI input. Both monitors sparkle.

The only things I can think of that can cause the problem are of my diet or my graphics card. My PC has never stopped on me during other operations, including executing some more processor intensive tasks. This seems to be a problem with my graphics card, but why my graphics card would randomly hitting the eject button?

I found the solution to my problem of graphics. Wow, really?

So after the video driver updated, he set a maximum resolution on my HDMI output to 1600 x 900. That's if access you the resolution settings through the control panel > display > adjust resolution. Is not that how most people set the resolution?

The update of the driver has replaced the max resolution by default setting, but it can be given via Intel display control panel (no was not yet aware, I had such a control panel). This control panel option is available for the Intel graphics controller hardware. To set the resolution, right click on the desktop and select "graphics properties." Select 'Advanced Mode', and then configure the resolution 1920 x 1080. Once the parameter is committed through this control panel, the Windows 7 Control Panel settings to work as you would expect, and the monitor is the 1080 p display.

It is delayed. Pardon my French.

Well, at least now I'm back where I started, IE still has the problem with the eject button causing the dual display to flicker. It happened only twice since the update of the video driver, then perhaps that these events were flukes?

  • Apple pro no keyboard no Volume or the eject button

    Hello

I'm running OS X 10.5.8 on an EMac with the original Apple Pro Keyboard.

The OS X install is a fresh, as installation when I got the computer it was protected by locked.

No matter what I do, the eject button and the Volume buttons above the numeric keypad on my "Apple Pro Keyboard" do not work.

The volume buttons seem to work a bit in iTunes, if I press and hold the button for a very long time.

I tried the keyboard on my MacBook Pro, and it works very well.

I also tried a Kensington Slim Mac on the Emac and after keyboard through the wizard keyboard and unrecognized, which worked well as well (including the Media Eject keys and Volume).

I tried to do a reset of the PRAM on the Emac, but this doesn't seem to be a facility of this computer.

The EMac is a special eBay and only cost me $10 ;-), but it seems to work fine apart from this question.

Please help me solve this problem, because it drives me crazy.

    Hello

On your main hard drive, dig in the System > Library > CoreServices > Menu Extras. Inside this window, double-click the icon called Eject.menu.
