The DVD-RAM firmware UJ-830

I'm trying to find the right firmware for my DVD - RAM drive. It's UJ - 830 s and on the page drivers I find TSST and UJ - 831 that isn't in my notebook.

Where can I find the firmware of my drive UJ-830 s

I have problems with burning DVDs (standard 4.7 GB DVD). Device sometimes burn DVD and burn sometimes is failure. DVD media is Verbatim or similar (I never use media at low cost). And the same box (series) DVD media, some media are burned correctly and most of them end with error (7 of 10).

Thank you

Hello, Tommy

As a first step, it will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have exactly.

A similar problem has noticed one of my friends a long time ago. He bought 50 DVD box and was able to use only first 20 or 25 all the other blank media was not at all usable. I assume there is something wrong in the production.

I recommend you buy some TDK media but monobloc. I use them for more than 6 years and never noticed any problems. I'm sure your optical disc drive is OK and you don't need no update firmware.

    The CD/DVD drive needs no special drivers!
    Vista includes a Microsoft driver that works with all CURIOUS s (CD/DVD drives)

    Simply said, the Vista should recognize the drive without any problems.

    A few questions; did you get any error messages? What is the status of Device Manager? Do you see yellow exclamation points?

    Hi members,

    I am using Toshiba satellite P20 - 604 model - load with windows xp prof - SP2. I wasn't able to use the software from burning DVDs successfully, so I tried to install cyberlink Power2Go software (trial ver) in there and ended up with "No. DVD RAM DRIVE APPEAR" in my computer. I could see the device dvd - ram with a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager. (the drive model is MAST * A DVD-RAM UJ-811). I tried to update the driver for it, no use. Hello

    The easiest way is to use the system restore option if you have created a restore point before you have had an experience with the trial version of Power2Go. If this is not the case, check if there is a system restore point has done in recent days.

  • Satellite M40X-126: disk blocks when the DVD-RAM has been inserted

    Hello

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite M40X-126 with a super multi drive installed. I have a problem with writing to DVD-RAM. Sometimes, when I try to write data to a DVD-RAM disc, the DVD player makes a strange noise, as if the mechanic of material is blocked inside the car. The laptop will not write any data on him and he doesn't notch in this noise. And I can't open the drive, because it is blocked by the software. And windows is blocked as well, I can't do anything. The only thing I can do, is stopped the laptop by pressing the power on button a few seconds.

    I do not think, it is a software problem. I have installed all the necessary drivers (UDF) is installed correctly. And DVD - RAM writing runs smoothly most of the time. But I have every 5 times I insert a DVD-RAM disc makes it drive this strange noise and everything is blocked.

    My disc is damaged? Who has the same behavior?

    Thank you

    Hi Reto

    I have the same drive, but it works without problem. I know that DVD-RAM media are expensive, but all I can suggest is you buy another provider and check if it will happen again.

    Hello

    Sorry, but I don t know what laptop you have (xxx-S203) but I can tell you that DMA if available is standard setting for all Toshiba laptops. On this path, it is not easy to give you a correct answer, but if the reader can't read original CD or DVD I guess there is hardware malfunction and the drive needs to be replaced.

    Hello

    I want to replace my carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-846 of the G20-127.
    Someone knows his apare part # and any sugestion wich RAM is compactables for my machine and better plase to get?

    Hello!

    If you want to replace your CD/DVD drive, you should look in your user manual. It should be a list of compatible drives that work with Notepad. Check it!

    The new RAM should be a SO-DIMM DDR2-533. The part number for 1 GB is PA3411U-1M1G.

    Finally and most importantly the best place for spare parts is the authorized service provider. They order all the original parts of Toshiba and the Toshiba site, you can search for the closest.

  • Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista

    I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).

    Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.

    Downloaded all the drivers from the Download Center of Tosh for upgrade of Vista of M7 (who got bluetooth, rotation etc. function properly the screen). But none of the downloads seems to be a driver for the DVD - Ram drive. He cannot find a driver anywhere else (including the Panasonic site).
    DVD player is Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 841 s

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the DLA for Tecra m7.
    Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?

    Maybe it'll market

    But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
    This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!

    An additional proposal;
    Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
    After restarting again the OS should reinstall the drive and renew the software.

    Another tip:
    -Launch the registry
    -Choose the registry key;
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    -In the right pane, click UpperFilters and LowerFilters, and then click on remove.
    -Reboot the laptop
