The "Files" window in Dreamweaver CC - remote/local poster problem

I have the "Files" open window, but I'm not able to see the two files the and remote at the same time.  I don't know what happened here, but yesterday, I could see both.  I googled this and it seems that, apparently, it is just a Mac problem, but I'm on PC.  Can someone help me?

Who did not "develop" it's just tense.

The mouse on the edge of the window until you get the arrows, then reduce to about 1/2 of what you have there, then click the button circled below...

How the Virtual Machine has been backed up and restored?  If Time Machine then...

It is a known fact that Time Machine is not 100% reliable backing up/restoring VMS in all circumstances/conditions.  Also back up Virtual Machines via Time Machine of disk/time intensive and wastes a lot of space for something that may be corrupted and worthless time to restore it.  At least I would exclude the Virtual Machines with virtual machines and Time Machine shutdown, not suspended and VMware Fusion closed and then manually copy the VMS to another location, preferably on a different physical hard drive.  So keep the user data stored in the virtual machine saved out of the Virtual Machine on a regular basis in order to always have a backup of the current user data.  If you need to restore a properly saved by VM is not as common at least you will have a virtual working Machine and data user to go forward with when you find out your Time Machine backup of the virtual machine fails.  Also take a look at: best practices for backup of virtual machine (programs and data) in VMware Fusion (1013628)

That said, if you don't have a copy of the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk" and then to try to retrieve the data from the user, you can try the following:

Download then unzip it (double-click on) the joint "Windows_7 - f004.vmdk.zip" file that contains the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk ' an empty logical binary measure that has been created on the metric of the existing drive and add to the Package of the Virtual Machine.  This should allow the VHD to be considered as a virtual hard drive, assuming that there is no damage to the extent of the binary left headers.  Take a look on: work with Virtual Machine packages

At this point, that the VHD has the scope necessary to show as a full disk, assuming that it is not corrupt the header in other binary extensions and can now attempt to access for the recovery of user data.

There are several ways to try to retrieve user data.  The easy, although not necessarily work properly according to what now lack us due to replace the missing binary extensions with a logical empty measure, is trying to start the VM normally.  If the virtual machine starts up on the desk and VMware Tools load properly you should be able to copy your data to user off on a USB or slip and fall on the side of Mac or if you have a configured VMware folder then copy the files through it.

Other methods involve starting the Virtual Machine with a Live OS ISO Image and copy files from a USB key or temporarily assemble the VHD to another Virtual Machine work.

With the right tools installed the virtual hard disk could also be mounted as another accessible Volume through Finder.

  • The files window requires manual collapse on MAc

    I used Dreamweaver CS5 (11.0) on a Mac.

When I change a lot of files, I use the "select more recently changed" and the files of registration in the files window extends on and highlights all files updated the.   I have download these files with a simple click on the upload arrow and everything is good!

The problem is that the view files window has now 100 developed outside directories to find something in this list is a long and tedious process.

The only solution I found is to go through each open directory and click on the arrow down and collapse this specific directory manually.  After 50 or so clicks get washed my nerves and eyes start bad... lol!

Is there a command that I'm missing in the COLLAPSE of the list of files/directories, back to normal?

Click option should close at the same time for you. I also look at the files in the order of last modified... Put the most recent at the top.

  • Error Msg: cannot open the file "Windows XP Professional - 000004.vmdk.

The hard drive on my iMac crashed while my virtual machine is running.  When I try to open the virtual machine 'suspended', I get the following error message: could not open the file "Windows XP Professional - 000004.vmdk"; The system cannot find the specified file.  This file is listed in the contents of the packaging of the XP machine, but it notes the date, the iMac has crashed, which is the last day of work of the virtual machine.  I have read through discussions and tried a few things from the knowledge base, but I can't go past the error msg for the virtual machine to run.  Any suggestions?

After selecting OK, I then received the second attached message, "Current Message.png", which reads... "your virtual machine has not returned because of an error.  If you believe that the error is correctable and you want to keep the suspended state, so you can correct the mistake, after that the virtual machine is turned off, select Preserve.  To ignore the waking state, select reject. »

I didn't do anything since getting this second message because I do not know which to choose.

In this case I'd throw away them.

If after following your excellent detailed instructions & explanation (thank you!), here is what happened...

As the machine has begun to resume in a suspended state, that asked me if I moved or copied and I selected, copied.

In cases like this (restore a Machine virtual sauvegardΘ) the correct answer to this question is "I moved it" even thought "I copied it" seams more logical, it is not the right answer but with the advent of the second error message, not caused by the answer to the first question, no answer would have mattered.

(if I can just get my prospects for work with this virtual machine files, your help would be invaluable!)

This Virtual Machine is always recoverable, however if you are only interested in the recovery of data from the user then after reading the following quit VMware Fusion and try to mount the virtual disk to the Virtual Machine using the information below.

Take a look at: VMware Fusion (menu bar) > help > Search > type VMDKMounter, and then select use VMDKMounter to mount a virtual drive as a Mac Volume

Notice, ignore the parts on "to add support for reading / writing to NTFS volumes, you need to install NTFS - 3G separately." as it is not necessary for recovering files within the VM using VMDKMounter, because you only need read access to retrieve data from the user.

After obtaining your user data disassemble the virtual hard disk on the desktop and then after that you want to retrieve the VM using methods from another just let know us and additional directions can be given.

  • Remote files shows only in the files window

DW 8.0.2, Windows XP, Ubuntu Linux server, FTP

Everything worked fine for a few months and earlier today. Now I can connect via FTP to my web server to Ubuntu, but the remote files are not displayed to the top and so the synchronization does not work (I can GET, but not GET). All appears well in Filezilla. DW FTP log shows an activity, including the list of folders, but still nothing shows in the remote view. As far as I KNOW, nothing on the server has changed (I asked) and this has happened while he was working in DW... one minute everything is fine, the next it wasn't.

Because synchronization has stopped working (he wants to load all THE files ALL the time because he does not see the remote files) I tried the troubleshooting of disabling sync, outgoing, restarting, enabling sync thing, trying a synchronization, etc., but now the XML (in the _notes folder) will not return. What HRT hell is?

    So far I have tried:
    -Exit and restart of DW
    -Restart the PC
-Restart the FTP service (although I doubt that this is the problem because it works very well with Filezilla)
    -Troubleshooting for sync problems
-Update re - install version 8.0.2 (can't reinstall all DW right now because the disks are at home)
    -Creating a new site
-Mucking with the FTP settings (currently using passive FTP with sync turned on... all other settings is the usual)

I intend to try a reinstall of the DW tonight. Any help is appreciated!

Wow... not a single response. Anyway, problem solved. It turns out that a reboot of the server restored the remote view. It was after a restart the FTP service has not set. Odd in any case because "regular" FTP worked fine, but not in Dreamweaver.

  • CC or CS6 - drag / move files in the files window, view local?

Venus the excellent Golive, I always had to make compromises with the problems of this kind in DW CS5. A they add this feature to the latest versions?

    TIA

If your site is correctly set and all files are in your folder DW of Site Local, you can drag & drop files in different subfolders using your Control Panel files (F8).  When you are prompted to update the links, press YES.

However, you cannot drag and drop files that are not already in your Local Site folder.  To do this, you must use the file manager of your operating system.

    That answer your question?

  • Why was able to copy the file "test server" rather than "remote server"?

    Windows 7, Dreamweaver CS5 (v11.0)

Until very recently, the operation Put copied the file on the remote server. Now it copies on the test server. I would like to change it to copy it to the remote server.

Thank you, David. Yes, the configuration is correct.

I stumbled upon the resolution. The icon of the right on the line Get and Put is "Expand to show local and...'." Click on this icon and then click on the 'Remote server' icon, which modifies the list of remote files files. If you want to see the files of tests, click the "Test Server".

  • CTRL-Shift-U download open file, not those selected in the file window

I regularly use the quick key Ctrl Shift you to download ('put') one or several files in the window of the file, but since this morning is rather downloading my open file. If I don't have any files open, it does nothing. I can only assume that I've accidentally changed an option somewhere, but Google isn't helping me understand where it could have been. Any ideas? I use Dreamweaver CS6. Thank you!

    1. go in Edition > keyboard shortcuts

    2. choose 'Menu options files Panel' in the drop-down controls

    3. click the + by Site

    4. scroll to 'Put' and check that it is set to Ctrl + SHIFT + U

Is it is, and this is something that just started happening recently, another thing to try would be to clear the file cache of the program: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811

  • Deleting the file Windows 7 games

    Greetings;

For my part, a great multitude, would be hale anyone who can devise a way to PERMANENTLY REMOVE THE FILE from any WINDOWS 7 MORE GAMES.

I have a NETBOOK computer and covet the rather limited memory storage. I know for a fact that there are many others like me in my college

who are trying their best to ELIMINATE THE GAMES FOLDER.

It's almost become a scenerio over GREAT RACE. I really believe that if MICROSOFT wanted to perform a PUBLIC RELATIONS BIG ACT that

It would create and offer a GAMES WINDOWS 7 FILE UPDATE that would allow the removal of the FILE GAMES only.

Why not trust your customers to make a simple decision to NOT HAVE a file as banal and unimportant as the GAMES FILE under WINDOWS 7?

    Hello

Thanks for sharing the information. If you have other Windows-related issues, feel free to post in our forum.

  • How can I get a copy of the file < windows > \system32\hal.dll.

How can I get a copy of the file \system32\hal.dll.   ?

There are 7 possibilities for the hal.dll file and the installation of XP takes the right one to match your hardware during the installation of XP.

That's why replace a bit difficult because you need to know which of the 7 on the XP installation CD you need.  You can guess and try things and you might get lucky, or you can try them all.  That would take some time and probably be frustrating and you would need a CD bootable XP installation genuine to start the trials and errors.

Replace the hal.dll file becomes even more difficult, because most of the people do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, even if they wanted to replace the hal.dll file.  If you really want just a copy, you can understand that one you need or just copy the one you already have.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft Answers don't ask for enough information when a new question is asked to provide you with a good idea for your problem not specified.  For all that is your problem not specified, you will need to provide additional information.

If you see the message that your hal.dll file is missing or damaged, the chances are that the file is not really missing or damaged... Windows XP just can not find the file.

Fix hal.dll "missing or corrupted" message is usually not too demanding and has nothing to do with the replacement of the file.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

What you see you don't think you need to see?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

    Hi Ickido,

You have the disc to install Windows with you?

If you do not have the Windows XP installation disk, I recommend you to make arrangements for a disc that is the same edition as it is installed on your machine.
