The function of the vs Office Update laptop?

I have a desktop Dell running Vista Home Edition & a laptop Dell with Vista Home Edition. Both are set for automatic updating.
When automatic updates of Office I then finish and turn around my chair to update the Ladtop, but he said, it is up-to-date.
It's already happened, but why the laptop wouldn't need to be updated as well since both have Vista?

Thank you
Arthur H

Hi Arthur,.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.

Make sure print spooler service and the service of dependency for the print spooler service is set to automatic and started.

To start the print spooler service and set it to automatic, follow these steps.

1. right click on my computer (computer in Vista), and then select Manage

2. in the console that opens, scroll down the menu Services and applications

3. click on Services

4. double-click on the key of spooling print

5. in the 'Général' tab, go to Startup Type

6. set the value to automatic, manual or disabled

7. to activate or deactivate the service immediately print spooler, click on stop or start

8. click on apply, and then restart the computer.

Check if you can add the printer and try to print after restarting the computer.

Also, you try access the link below and run the patch program.

http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/8c11977e-8244-408f-A036-7978a618d7a21033.mspx

If the problem persists, reply with the following details:

1. you receive an error while adding the printer step?

2. don't you make changes on your computer, before that this problem occurred?

It will be useful.

Thank you and best regards,

Srinivas

  • The Microsoft Office Update on October 25, 2011 did my Toshiba Vista Home Premium 64 bit sick system.

When he goes to the standby screen, sleep or simply work through the backup of a large file, the system crashes and becomes requirng does not have a closing force.  Anyone having problems with this?  I tried to update my video drivers and just about anything that can be updated.  I also cleaned and repair the registry.  The next step to wipe and reinstall Windows, something I really don't want to do.

The only thing that has worked is the restore to a point before 25 October.

    Hello

-What updates caused the problem to occur?

Updated version has a problem in the history of the update.

    a. open Windows Update by clicking on the button start. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    (b) in the left pane, click view update history.
    c. to display more information about an update, double-click it.

  • Disorders of Outlook since the February 10 update

    Hello

    System:
    Win 7 64-bit operating system
    Office Enterprise 2007

I recently started having trouble with Outlook (since 10 February update, where I installed updates Windows 11 - I can list if necessary, but the forum seems to be familiar with who is out on that day). When I look at my updates installed, under the title of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, it says 15 updates have been installed on 2/16 (the day I installed the updates of Feb10th for the second time - I did a system restore after the first attempt). But I don't install that many updates to this period of the day, certainly not 15 for office alone.

I'm not having any other question, only Outlook. Include questions
-Frequent connections lost on the server / restored connections (ToolTip pops up on the Board frequently). Right now I'm on the internet and the connection is good.
-Frequent suspended (Win7 in the screen fade). Could occur when sending an e-mail, trying to create an appointment in the calendar, etc.
-Bad closing - when I try to quit since February 10, I often get the message saying that the system waits for Outlook close before his stop. If I leave and come back later, it is still waiting for Outlook close. I have to force close or go to end the Outlook.exe process to stop.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Andy Web: http://invoc.net Blog: http://invoc.net/CRM_BPOS_Blog

If you could not install the updates, your message would be appropriate in this forum, Andy. Since your problem seems to be due to having installed the update successfully, Outlook-specific forums are the best place for support.

That being said, if you uninstall the Outlook/Office Update, restart and the problem persists, among other updates that you have installed may have caused the behavior (e.g., KB977165;) KB978207).

    Good luck.

  • can't get the downloads to update my system

I made a new clean install of win 7 pro 32 bit sp1

have noticed after a few days, no updates have been received.

Lhen go you to Windows Update and look for the updates there simply display nothing 'check updates' has been doing since yesterday.

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page.  But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:

How to reset the Windows Update components
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

Suggest you download and save the Fixit.  Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously.  Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode.  Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers.  If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode.  Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.
I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.

My recommendation would be to install updates in batches, these 5 at a time, exclude the hardware/driver updates. Avoid installing a set of updates for Microsoft Windows and Office at the same time. Also, try to install the first small updates. Avoid installing things like the .NET Framework and SQL Express updates.

Whenever you install updates (it's a chore, but it guarantees a more reliable experience). Try to start the Microsoft Office updates for programs such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Another thing, try to download the updates, and then install them. When you are prompted to restart, disconnect from the Internet and restart your computer.
To proceed with the installation of additional updates.

At this point, we are perplexed - how can we get the application to apply the updates?

The answer to this question for us was in fact related to GPO.

In efforts to reduce the area exposed to recent "ransomware" threats, IT Dept will often refuse the execution of certain types of files stored in %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto or %LocalAppData%.

As is the case with many applications based on the web, Desktop CC tries to use a .exe file localappdata % or %AppData% during the update process.

While some programs will give you a popup telling you that the program has been blocked, the CC Office Update does not trigger this popup.

    Check the event viewer for:

Event ID 865 ' access to the < %=""> has been restricted by your administrator by software restriction policy level by default. "

Event ID 866 ' access to the < %=""> has been restricted by your administrator by location with policy {%} placed on path rule < %=""> .»

You will need to create exceptions (whether by the signature of trust, path or hash value) on the RPS.

While accurate executables and their way hinted me at present, I hope that it will point some of you in the right direction.

    Thank you!

At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

The malicious software removal tool does not use an installer. As a general rule, when you run the malicious software removal tool, it creates a temporary directory named at random on the root of the drive of the computer. This directory contains several files, and it includes the Mrtstub.exe file. Most of the time, this folder is automatically deleted after the tool to the end of execution or the next time that you start the computer. However, this folder may not always be automatically deleted. In these cases, you can manually delete this file, and this has no adverse effect on the computer.
