The Internet Routing Table storage

Hello

If I'm providers with two suppliers with two separate routers running iBGP between them--will both my routers have to store two separate copies of the routing table so consume twice the space AAGR? So roughly 1 million routes?

In order to answer your question, that you understand that the FIB is a place where registered a neighbor routes are stored. But this isn't the only place. You are right that the FIB will contain what the router has determined as being the 'best' roads and, usually, a single road for each prefix. But if you run THAT BGP then the router must also store in BGP (separated from the FIB) tables what he learned from his neighbors. So if 2 full courses of advertising ISP then the table router BGP will have two copies of the complete course (an external neighbor) and one IBGP.

    Help, please

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If any stage does not properly complete, proceed to the subsequent steps will be useless... and you will need to contact your mobile provider for formal support. It's their network that your BB is unable to communicate with, after all.

    Good luck!

  • Loopback address VRF who flees to the global routing table

    Hello

I have a router and you have set up several VRF. I was also able to run routes between the global routing table and one of the VRF (VRF data) with success.

Now, I have not been able to flee the VRF (1.1.1.1) data loopback address in the global routing table, so I can ping to the VRF the global routing table loopback address.

    I also read this article:

If select VRF is not supported, you can create a false road map and apply it to the loopback interface:

    int loopback 0

    FAKE IP policy-map of route

  • There is a security risk to plug the internet router management on the LAN port?

I have to install an ASR1001 on the internet for my business.  I noticed that the ASR1001 has a dedicated management port and I was wondering if it's a security risk to have this mangment port directly connected to my local network, so that I can mange it from my office.

I want to only run the ASR of this port and I will no management through its public IP address.  Is it possible for a malicious user to compromise the router then have access to the network but this management port?

I'd say it's a reasonable risk.  If you intend not to allow future management of the public side sessions you are a good start, implementation of protection against attacks.  Combine that with a few basic hardening, for example to disable source routing, directed broadcast, ip proxy arp, finger, as well as an ACL on the management interface so that all traffic from an untrusted interface on the router would be unable to receive return traffic.  In addition, the management vlan must be a dedicated vlan.  I would not fall in the same vlan in that your office is located.  Better design would be to fall into a dmz (acl on the router's management interface would be redundant in this case) and to apply the rules of the firewall.  However, if this is not possible, order access to routing on the ASR as well by including only a 32 road to your management station via the management VLAN interface.  Also, remove any redisribution or advertising of this management interface in your routing protocol.

  • Empty blackBerry Smartphones host routing table, will not register with the network.

I want to apologize if I put this post in the wrong thread.

So here's the question. I sent a request to my service provider to upgrade several SIM's have Blackberry service added to them. I asked specifically for them to make sure that the SIM card have been set to BES not BIS. The first SIM card I try to register with the network does the following for me. The phone, before I save it with the BES server can call and surf the internet. Once I have sync the phone with the company's server and I go back outside to check on her send and receive these emails, I try to control the internet and it says that the service is not available. I have 3G (Yes capitol) service and I can make phone calls. The host routing table is empty and when I try to save the phone it just says 'sent message' but I never receives the roads. I wiped the phone and repeat the steps with the same result. I contaced the carrier because all the Google search I did pointed to the carrier but they swear the correct plan is attached. Please if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, he should persist with the carrier. But first try to remove this BB to your BES, then by the ResetToFactory WIPE to remove the it strategy. Then run everywhere with the BB, ensuring that you can do all the activities of BIS (including filling of the HRT) before activating the BES. If it continues to fail, then you must climb the carrier and BIS get work before you activate BES.

HRT and the functions of BIS should not be affected by BES, unless there is something in your it strategy that does. It is not very likely but it should impact the devices ALL active BES, not one only.

    Good luck!

  • cannot access the internet wireless or wired. Not a router problem.

I'm running windows vista on a dell xps m1330 laptop computer.

My computer recently went crazy; blue screen came, said something about a dump of memory and rebooted. I was then invited to enter the product key windows again and re save my copy of windows. It worked well, but since I can't access the internet. I tried to use wireless and wired connections, but it just says: "unidentified network: local only.

I tried watching drivers etc. but am not too computer savvy and nothing seems obviously wrong. I ran a mcafee, defender of windows and malware bites scans and nothing shows.

Oh and certainly nothing to do with the internet/router, I run several other computers with no problems.

I feel like a fool now I locked my firewall when the computer crashed and I forgot to turn it off!

    Hello

problem is that you have changed the IP address of the interface VLAN 1 from 192.168.1.254 to 192.168.1.1
If you need to change by default-router dhcp pool:
    Select conf t
    Richard-Edet dhcp IP pool
    no default router
    default router 192.168.1.1
    end

    NAT is also missing:
    Enable
    conf t
    IP access-list standard NAT
    permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
    output
IP nat inside source list NAT interface SA4 overload
    end

Also perhaps you cannot ping the router console PC because the computer's firewall blocks the ICMP protocol. In windows, I'm sure he is blocked by the firewall. Then you can try ping 192.168.1.1 from the PC and it should work.

Try above changes and then write me if it works, or so we can make other changes.
You can also post the output of the commands (if this will not work):
    router: ip road show
router: ping 8.8.8.8 (it should work if your internet provider doesn´t blocks the ICMP protocol)
    PC: ipconfig/all

  • Have two networks. One is 'working '. The other is the "homegroup". 'work' to the internet. "residential"local group. IE cannot access the internet. Help

    So here's my problem:

It is a routing problem.  In short, it comes down to how to get IE (or any application) to use a specific WiFi adapter with Internet and ignore the adapter WiFi that goes to a network is private with no internet.

This is the situation and what I tried.   No joy.

    PC hardware:

    primePC = Win7-Pro with two WiFi.   WiFi-Internet and WiFi-Local-premium

tabletPC = Win10-Home with a (currently) WiFi-Local-Tablet (not internet from now).

Use the Description of PC hardware

primePC is my laptop that I use for work and all the rest.  It goes where I go.

Tablet PC is in my mobile office and stay in the van (office) when I'm on-site customer.  I use it for

things like control my monitors in the van (office).

    Network:

WiFi-Internet (primePC) is connected Internet router to the Internet.

WiFi-Local (primePC) is connected via the Local router

WiFi-Tablet (Tablet PC) is connected via the Local router

    Objective:

WiFi-Local allows you to share files and use VNC for remote desktop.  (Win10-Home support not native RDP).

Use wireless Internet to connect primePC Apps IE for example to the internet via WiFi-Internet connected to the Internet router.

    A photo is included.

    THE PROBLEM:

Because primePC has WiFi-Internet and WiFi-Local, applications such as IE are getting confused.

How can I say (other applications) to use wireless Internet for internet connection?

    What I tried:

Have you tried ForceBindIP on Win7, but is no longer works.  I'm sure that at some point, it has worked.

Even if I could make it work, I don't really like it.   There *.   I don't want to link to an IP address.  I want to

link to a Mac address is the Mac of the WiFi-Internet address.

    Other Options:

Soft router (ugly) There must be something that can do this.  But I have not found one.  I guess it's a kind of soft router.

    Firewall, routing (still ugly)

I have a firewall (on average by the way).   Creating a routing table in AVG is not good for the following reason.

The entire Setup is mobile.    WiFi Internet is constantly connected to different internet routers, so learning new IP address that I have no control over.

    Future:

Currently, the problem is on the primePC.   But in the end, I have also a problem similar with tabletPC, since the tabletPC is going to have a 3G connection / 4G to the internet.  This connection will go up and down based on (A) if I have internet with WiFi-Internet-router or not.   Using a hub of 3G / 4G for private network will not be good option because (A) the security because it allows access to my tablet, another security van mobile devices (B) cost of using a mobile router WiFi "hot spot" vs just to have two phone lines, both have unlimited data service of attachment (not unlimited hotspot service).

    Hello

According to the description, I understand that you have a routing problem, you try to get IE to use a specific WIFI adapter with the internet, while ignoring the other WIFI adapter that goes to a private network.

It is not possible to connect two computer to the same WIFI cards. You must unmark a WIFI to use the other WIFI adapter.

You can search using your search engine to find any third party software which may help you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones don't host Routing Table - no entries

    Hello

  • Windows xp routing table problem

I'm having a problem with windows routing tables on the pc at my workplace.
These computers are running windows xp sp3 and the problem occurs when I change the default gateway

the PCs are on subnet 10.181.1.0/24 with d/g 10.181.1.11.
with this configuration, the routing on each pc table works as expected [for example, it stores a
Directions to its own subnet [10.181.1.0/24] but no way to other subnets [for example, it will not store
a road to 10.180.1.0/24, it will simply send this default network traffic
    gateway].

However, due to a re-design network, I need to change the default gateway for this lan
to 10.181.1.254. When I do cela something strange happens. the windows routing table on
each pc begins to store routes to the entire 10.0.0.0/8 network, even if the current
config on the pc is still a 24 network [for example, 10.181.1.21/24, d/g 10.181.1.254].
its as if when I change default gateway from the computer, windows, pleasures of the routing table of the
10.181.1.0/24 subnet as if it were a network 10.0.0.0/8 classful.

While, right? I can still connect to other networks, the pc is just using a route
stored in its routing table local instead of sending traffic to its default gateway.
The problem is that we have a 10.181.1.12 default backup gateway that we switch to
If the primary gateway goes down. When we test failover to 10.181.1.12 pcs are always
Send non-local traffic to 10.181.1.11 [because they still have these routes stored locally in their]
Windows routing tables]. I want to send traffic to 10.181.1.254 [switch a core of layer 3, which then]
two lanes of traffic to 10.181.1.11 or. [12]

I tried to change the default gateway to a range of ip addresses and the same problem occurs every time.
I rebooted each pc after having changed its d/g and the problem remains the same. I tried
delete all the information off the power the pc ip address, then re-enter with the new d/g, then restart
the pc but the problem remains the same.

so, to summarize, when I change the d/g from any pc on the 10.181.1.0/24 subnet, computers table routing begins to store routes
in its local routing table to the classful, instead of just the classless 10.181.1.0/24 network 10.0.0.0/8 network.

    Has anyone encountered this before?

    Dear all,

Just got back from VPN3005 of the client configuration. We got a "serious issue" with the VPN3005 routing table (or VPN3000 series in general). VPN3005 accepts only 199 road exactly. Not more not less. An itinerary announced by the other router is rejected by VPN3000 and "complete routing table" generated in the journal. I'm not aware of this limitation in the table, made it write somewhere in the manual or FAQ? Someone has the same problem? What other VPN3000 series, do they have the same restriction as VPN3005?

BTW, the VPN3005 is equipped with the latest v3.6.7

Would be very appreciated for any help!

So, today I received my new 9320 at Virgin Mobile, first Blackberry & love the phone! but I can't use the BBM or Facebook app...

At first I could not even access the browser while that connected to my wifi... then I phoned Virgin & they helped me to reset the settings on my BB that I could use the browser etc...

I thought it was problem solved, until I discovered BBM and Facebook, use app world separate service? Anyway, I phoned up to Virgin because I wanted to do this job, they are included in my package & I did not understand why I can't access any of them...

After a long phone call the problem has proved that the "host routing table" was empty and (according to in Virgin) there is a problem with new BlackBerry receiving these details... they said this isn't a problem on the end there & told me there is nothing more they can do so to click 'register now' and wait for the details...

24 hours later and nothing, so I hope someone here can help me, make me a BB the whole point is things miss me actually lol and I feel now I'm paying for a phone contract I can't really use it, without any help from my provider?

    Any help?

    Or

Anyone with a new BB knows something like that recently? Thank you

Wow... Virgin you gave really there. You see, you PAY for 100% of your services and 100% of your formal support... at the moment, they seem to be or you deliver. Only they have the ability (in fact the RESPONSIBILITY!) to degenerate RIM requiring improved support of cases (from your description, it must be that... with a HRT empty, nothing that anyone here can do). End users have no free path to receive assistance from the RIM at all - only via the escalation. So, what I would do if I were you, is their ring back... but this time do not let you fob OFF... insist that, because you HAVE them, you have a contract with them and they are about to be in violation of this contract - they must solve your problem, degenerate into RIM if they wish.

    Good luck!
