A stupid question, but I inadvertently locked the keyboard (I've never set up a password); I tried to unlock it with * shipment but that did not work... y at - it a magical touch to unlock (I got this "BOLD" for over a year and this is the first time).  Sorry for this stupid question...

If it is blocked password, you need the password, of course.

If it's just in standby mode, try pressing the button mute on the upper part of the unit.

    Is asking for a password?

  • The i on the keyboard lost blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I've lost the 'i' on the keyboard. Instead of the i I have some kind of |, i.e. a small vertical strip without dot on top.

Research in the AddressBook is impossible (whenever I'm looking for something with the included 'i').

The capital letter I is not a problem.

I recently downloaded the "Compass Pro" app. This might be a reason?

    Bye, Otto

Happy, we could help.  The previous BB I saw this problem has also been updated with the language of Turkish entry.  Weird indeed.

  • Phone locked blackBerry Smartphones help

Please help I had blackberry curve 9320 yesterday! I entered inadvert must have a password to open the phone and can't remember! I used all those that I usually use, and the last test can someone advise please?

    Hi deb25426

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Sorry, but no one can help others, then yourself to recover the password that you put on your device, BlackBerry devices are safer devices, it does allow you to access this device without a correct password, if you enter too wrong password it will begin a process of erasure. Please think again and try to remember the password that you set on this device, also I think you may have a mix of different characters in your password, and you are not able to enter properly on the keyboard for BlackBerry. For example, if your password

    • deb25426
    • And you type d > e > b > alt > 2 > 5 > 4 > 2 > 6
    • the result will be
    • deb2dsef

    You must enter

    • d > e > b > alt > 2 > alt > 5 > alt > 4 > alt > 2 > alt > 6
    • to get deb25426 on your device.

For example, while on the BlackBerry keyboard, you think you type deb25426 , you actually type deb2dsef . So take your time and enter the password.

  • Keyboard of blackBerry Smartphones will not unlock

I tried to update the Documents application to take away this afternoon. The update failed, and then my BB was stuck.

Pull a battery, which looked OK, but it turns on with the keyboard locked and I can't unlock it!

The upper left button does nothing, nor [* call].

I can always use alt + return to scroll through applications but cannot access the home screen. SE back button then does not work.

    What should I do?

    Thank you

    Wolf

It is an update of my previous post. Problem seems to have been resolved.

I think that the culprit was an update to the application of documents to go.

I plugged my BB for the Manager Office, used to remove the application and install the latest OS version and it works fine again.

  • Keyboard unlock blackBerry Smartphones automatically accesses the unread email or BB Messenger message?

When I remove my BB from its holster and unlock the keyboard with "* & SEND ' my BB opens automatically the last unread email or last message unread BlackBerry Messenger instead of going directly to the home screen.

Is there an option that instructs the appliance to go in the home screen automatically when unlocking the keyboard instead of going to emails or messages.

    Hello!

You posted this twice - please see the answer to your other thread... and maybe Mark this one as resolved to avoid duplication.

    See you soon!

  • Since the recent update blackBerry Smartphones keyboard problem

I'm sorry, I currently don't have the patience to search the Board of Directors for a duplicate thread. Since the update (which trashed my contact list), my keyboard has become possessed for a lack of a better word. When you tap some keys (e, a, i) they do not register, or the keys that I have not touched the other side of the Commission will act as if they were activated. I restarted my phone, and it may work for a little bit. It is quite frustrating because it's my only way to type. I wish I would have gotten a phone with a real keyboard. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Tech vocabulary will probably go over my head.

    Thank you.

In all the wires niveau.148 I read, I did notice users mention problems with the keyboard or the letters do not enter.

You can try this: place a piece of paper, like a card on top of the battery and replace the battery cover. Who help me? Try a piece of paper, if it is slightly thicker or anything that might work for you folded.

  • Help on the home screen blackBerry Smartphones nothing will work!

MY blackberry curve is locked on the main menu and I can move the trackball but I can't click on what whether, or type anything, I deleted it and put again but still nothing, also when the backlight turns off it won't restart! Help please!

Is there damage to the water? Open the battery compartment and check indicators on the battery and in the Bay of roses. Apparently, you do not have dropped the phone in water so that he could get moisture damage and it plays havoc on the keyboard and trackball. If the indicators are pink and then remove the battery and place the phone in a dry place, for example in front of an air conditioner. Give him a few days to dry, and then try again.

If this isn't the problem then this is may be defective. You're under? Generally, you are covered for 1 year then try and get a replacement.

  • Keyboard of blackBerry Smartphone accessing during calls that I do

I just got my Blackberry Storm yesterday because my Palm LifeDrive (which I liked) has a cracked screen and I wanted to migrate to an integrated phone/PDA solution.  My previous phone was a LG Dare I loved also.  It's just for the context.  Problem: when I call I want the pad to display by default.  It is heavy to go button options and then try to press the option "Show keyboard" during a call.  One of the default options that displays for "Speaker" when I make a call is annoying more useful because I accidentally turned on the speakerphone during a call several times.  Is there a way to change these options?  I searched these forums and the web, but couldn't find any doubt even closer, if I used probably just the wrong search terms.  Thanks for any help in this sense - I don't really like most of the things on this phone and read these forums helped me already.

When phone mode, there is a small keyboard at the bottom left icon - you can press that instead of having to hit BBmenu > keyboard.  But apart from that, I don't think there is a way to have the keyboard default upward.

As speaker, you should study an application similar to TalkLock or StormSlider they lock the screen during calls preventing the presses of the screen.

  • Freedom Pro keyboard for blackBerry Smartphones

I recently bought a freedom Pro keyboard for my Blackberry Storm 9530 smartphone, which is running v5.0... 0,328 (Platform 4.2.0.128). Using the browser on the Blackberry, I logged onto their site otadrivers and downloaded the driver v5.0 for my phone.

But when I tried to install the driver, I got a message, I thought just information, indicating that permissions were not required to be set for this application. When it was installed and I clicked on the app, it repeats the message and would not go.

After trying to run the application several times, I finally gave up and tried to delete the app (thought to try to re - install), the icon has not disappeared. But clicking on it now gave me an error of missing handle (like the operating system thought that the application has been deleted.) I tried to re-boot the phone (by removing the battery while the phone is turned on) but nothing has changed and the app did not work.

What should I do now? I don't really want to clear the memory if I can help it.

    Thanks for any help.

Well, I couldn't understand anything else, so I have deleted all my apps "outside" of the security wiper and then re-installed using the keyboard. Worked like a charm! Don't know how to find out which app has been the cause of the problem tho. Maybe I need to know, but...

  • Frozen to the software update blackBerry smartphones

I have a Blackberry Curve 9360 and it is frozen all by doing an update of the software (progress overall backup 13%).  It has been like that for the last two hours.  I tried to take out the battery, but it just goes back to the same screen when it restarts.

    Can anyone help please?

    Two options to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failure http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
