    I developed a script that checks if the layer color-101 exists in an open document.

    If the layer color-101 exists executes the block of code on layer color-101.

    I do it with a loop for and if statement.

    1. Why does the loop not stop when the loop count variable corresponds to the layer color-101 name variable?

    2. how the loop can return to the beginning to check again the presence of color-101 layer?

    Variable decalre

    app.activeDocument = docRef;

    var theLayer = "color-101;

    loop through the layers

    for (var i = 0; i < docRef.layers.length; i ++) {}

    the layer name corresponds to the loop variable

    Alert ('The' + theLayer + "' there is no layer: Run Add layer color-101 action. '");

    back at the beginning of the loop and check again

    Your loop does not actually stop to find the right layer. He is content to display the alert popup window, then continues. Also the 'not found' - part will still raise. And the comparison must be 100% equal without difference case or spaces or 'copy 12' - suffixes.

    Try something like

    Declaring variables

    app.activeDocument = docRef;

    var layer_found = false;

    loop through the layers

    for (var i = 0; i)< docref.layers.length;="">

    var layer = docRef.layers [i]

    If (Layer.Name.toLowerCase (). IndexOf("case-101") > = 0) {}

    Alert ("found layer:" + layer.name);

    layer_found = true

    do what needs

    }

    }

    If (! layer_found) {}

    Alert ("Layer not found!");

    do what needs

    }

    You can not color the layer itself, you can set a color of outline for objects in a layer. Then you can set the color of the outline as the highlight color for the objects in the layer. Then when an object is selected, you will see rectangles in this color in this layer there this particular color as his strong point, or if you have the layer set to show only the contours. But, I guess, none of this is what you are looking for.

  • Police in a new layer with the background color

    Hello.

    When I'm doing a new layer on an experience that is defined through the ALT + CTRL + P (imitation of colored paper), the new layer appears dark. Instead of orange color, the text color is dark. Be it on a new layer, or on the same.

    What's wrong?

    Do not use the simulation. Just make a gray filled rectangle and define your type above it.

    In Illustrator, there is no notion of background colors as in publishers raster graphics.

  • White color on the layer mask does not

    Well, I have a problem... Each setting is fine, but when I open the layer mask on a layer, and if I have the black brush, it works very well, BUT if I brush white, it does not work. It's like the color white is on 0% opacity. It shows me an action in "history, but it's like I'm not even brushing."
    Now, when I want white brush, I switched layer mask, brush black and then I reverse again, because as I said, the white color just doesn't work...
    -Colours btw, work not in a layer mask

    Is the Mode in the Options bar to brush on something other than normal?

  • Invert the colors in the layer text and background

    Hello

    Can someone please guide me through do reverse my position.

    Basically, I created an outline of buildings in the background using the pen tool - this part is fine. Then I had filled white buildings inside and outside with black.

    Then I have the text layer. Now, I want to have the text overlapping the two portions of the black and white of the background while being in the Middle, and the problem I am facing is I'm trying to make sense of the texts that overlaps the black area to be white and black when he rides the white area.

    So just a summary:

    Question #1: How can I go to do this inversion of color?

    Question #2: Just another question - is there a better way to create sharp backgrounds? I basically used the pen tool to create rectangular shapes, a little inclined to the buildings in the background - the area selected and filled with the foreground color, which, in my case, I chose white. I left at 0 Pixels and checked anti-aliasing when I chose the area by the way. I'll get this pattern printed on a black shirt, then I want the lines to be as sharp as possible, if someone can you please advise me if I don't do something right in the above. Kindly let me know if there are better ways to do it as well.

    I thank you all in advance and have a nice day!

    Type white and use the Exclusion blend mode.

  • Paint on the layer in Photoshop with lighter color makes the color paint more light go under the darker colors? How can I fix it?

    I have Photoshop CC

    When I use paint tool to paint on lighter colors on a layer, it always goes under the colors darker on the same layer. Even if I paint the darker color first and the lighter color, second, the lightest color continues to go under the darker color. And it's all happening on the same layer too! It's like photoshop is to order the colors based on what color goes on top and what colors light up and down in the order how dark the color is.

    How can I do so that the color that I finally painted goes on top?

    See the blending mode in the Toolbar Options paint is set to Normal.  There is a parameter 'Behind' who will actually do what you describe.

    Also check your layers panel blend modes and settings for each layer.  Maybe not relevant in the present case, but recommended when the strange behavior happens in the layers.

  • Fill the layer with the color

    pse13 I am filling the layer.  The layer has a small rectangle on it and nothing else.  When I fill the layer, it fills the whole canvas, not only the rectangle!  It's used to work!

    1. Go to file > new > empty file. Type w, h and the resolution, & background color. It's the Web.
    2. Set up the fixed size Rectangle tool, enter w & h dimensions of the rectangle
    3. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the rectangle with the color of choice as determined by the foreground color chip.
  • In collaboration with edge animate, how can we change layer colors and and the names of the layers?

    For many years, I worked with Adobe Photoshop, and the ability of change the color of the layer or the layer name is pretty easy. I have been reading around on how to do this with Edge, but can not find any information on how I might be able to do this. Can you help me?

    Thank you!

    Layer of colors is not an option on board animate; but to change the layer name is the same as in Ps: double-click directly on the layer title.

    If you look to the left of the layer number in your layer panel in the screenshot above, you will see that it is empty. If you add something to the layer, there is a triangle pointing to the right on the layer name. This indicates that there is something on the layer. If it is empty, there is no object on the layer. For the backgroung of the color layer, you will need to add an object (a rectangle) to the layer so that it can be filled with a color. There is no fill flood in a layer in Photoshop

  • How to get the background color of a layer with AE SDK

    Hello

    I try to get the background color for my current layer, but I can't seem to find how do.

    I don't want background color, background color of the application, but the color that shows through, if I set the alpha of my pixels to 0.

    For example, assume that the background of the composition is black, I put a solid top, green then put a picture on top of the solid and apply my pug-in the image.

    If I set the alpha to zero in my plug-in, green solid will be displayed.

    So I want to be able to know that my background is green.

    I tried to use PF_AppGetBgColor(), but which returns the background color of the application, which isn't green in this example.

    If you want more details on what I want to do, I plug P1 which affects some 0-alpha pixels. Above it, I apply an another plugin P2 which reveals alpha-0 pixels by mixing with little color.

    What is happening now is that the output is color of the original image, mixed with the color of P2 (because only modified P1 alpha pixels).

    What I want is to have the color through the transparent pixels of P1 display mixed with the color of P2.

    To do this, I would like to be able to set the color of pixels 0-alpha in the color of the background in P1.

    Sorry for the question long.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Hello nicolas.

    If I understand it, that you try to get the buffer of image layers composited under the layer with your effect.

    If that is correct, then I fear that it is almost impossible to do.

    When AE makes a composition he doesn't it down. He's trying to do the opposite in fact.

    Why? because if at some point, the buffer is completely opaque, then he has no need to make what's below.

    further more, checked the diaper changing the rendering order, and many other things affect the rendering of the layers order.

    In addition, there is no API to access buffers intermediaries comp. just the end result.

    the closest you can get than without turning of the world, is to use AEGP_GetCompBGColor().

    that would be useless to you that the image is not composite on that color, unless it is the model being saved to the file.

    so why I said 'almost impossible '?

    You can transform the world.

    You can write a type ECAP 'craftsman '. (look at the example of 'arti')

    These plug-ins make comps (instead of the "advanced3D" converter)

    a craftsman has results intermediaries comp, because he is the one doing the rendering.

    so now you can have your craftsman save the buffer, you need and deliver it to your effect.

    I must warn you that this is very very very difficult.

    Another possible solution is to create a copy of the model resides in your effect,

    erase all the layers that has the image you need and make that reproduces model using AEGP_GetReceiptWorld().

    If you use this method, you must supervise the original model and apply changes to the copy.

    Yes, it's too difficult to do.

    you could make a change in the strategy and apply your effect to an adjustment layer instead.

    the entry for the adjustment layer is the buffer underlying layers.

    Then, you could get the original sources you want to treat using checked layer params.

    the last solution I can think uses the expression of sampleImage() on a hidden parameter.

    This will give you any layer's pixel data in the model, but not the composite of the underlying layers.

    Maybe if you tried sampling adjustment layers post effects... I don't know. you need to try.

    This method is very slow and is also limited to expire, so you can't get a large number of pixels.

    the expression simply fails.

    I hope that this was not all bad news for you.

    Maybe you said more about the plug-in you develop I could come up with a better plan.
