  The albums predefined in the Photos on a Mac are sorted differently, in order to have different ways to access your photos.

  • The sight of Photos with Moments and Collections is sorted by the date of Capture.
  • The album 'All the Photos' is sorted by the date that you imported photos, not dates, that the photos were taken.

  Albums that you set yourself can be sorted by title or date of capture. So you can set your own album "my photo all ' as a smart album (file > new Smart Album) by using a rule 'Date's after... ', for example:

• Folders of the iPhone for photos

  All my photos were in a folder that is listed as all the pictures, as I assume that all are.  When I started to create folders and I put the pictures in there records, I deleted them folder all Photos so that they do not duplicate and take place on my phone. At this point, I started to notice those I delete in the folder all Photos disappeared folders that I had put them.  So my question is, should I stay in the photos folder all independently all the images? IF this is the case, what is the point of creating individual folders?

  Yes, they must stay in the folder of pictures if you want on your device. Creating separate folders does not duplicate photos, it organizes just pictures in the folder of all the Photos in a different way.

  Hi, I upgraded a while to El Capitan 10.11.6 Lion to find that and could take no iphoto. However, he said that he would migrate the photos to the pictures. However now I need access to the years of photos I can't find them there at all? I also backed up on an external hard drive iphoto but now cannot open that my mac does not support? Y at - it an application that I can use or any way I can recover the photos. All my daughters baby photos and videos! OMG! Help!

  I've been manually uploading photos from iphone 5 s for my Airbook.  More recently, on July 12, because pictures taken on my phone appear on my Mac until this date.  Now, when I connect via USB, my iphone 5s does not appear in the sidebar of Photos.

  Opening was a pro the Pro amateur-oriented or serious app, usually shooting Raw, probably on a digital SLR.

  If that's you then pictures will miss a lot for you.

  If this isn't the case, then opening was probably overkill for your needs.

  If you like the pictures then this is the way to go.
