The mouse pointer works not

Hi all

I'm running 10 FF and my mouse pointer does not work, when I hover over a link/image, the pop up box that normally comes with a description in it does not appear.

It only works in safe mode. I tried to restart FF with all add-ons disabled but it did not work, I manually disabled all add-ons but it still does not work, it only works when I'm in safe mode.

All Extensions and Plugins are currently disabled, but I still have this problem.

No idea how I can solve this problem?

Thank you.

Thank you, it seems like a problem with the Intel HD 3000 graphics, I double graph on my laptop and changed to make FF use nvidia graphics in place and now the mouse works perfectly.

  • The mouse pointer does not hide when you type, even with the box checked.

Hello everyone.  I turned on the check mark in the properties of the mouse "hide the pointer during the strike".  However, the mouse pointer does not hide when typing, but instead remains visible all the time.

No one knows why this happens?  In previous versions of Windows, the pointer should simply disappear when keystrokes are typed, and then reappear when the mouse is moved.  Is not the case here!

    Thanks for any information!

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Windows Vista.

    1. what application you are working on when you encountered this problem?

Hide the mouse pointer option allows you only to remove the mouse curzor of
the focus in the working window so that the cursor does not cover the text or the pitcure you see.

Make sure that the curzor of the mouse is placed inside the app as you type, as it does not hide the mouse, if it is outside of the application.

  • The mouse pointer is not displayed in Windows 8.

original title: 8 the mouse pointer disappears NOT associated with the applications screen

Windows 8 64-bit running on TORDRE of Lenovo tablet 3347CTO with external monitors.

Sometimes, the mouse pointer disappears from the office.  He is always there, because I can find it by pressing CTRL (I have "use CTRL to locate mice" clicked to fix somewhere).  It will activate a program if the invisible pointer is on the icon for this program.  It reappears when you move, but only when moving.  I'm going behind the screen applications (starting) to do this. As I know it has nothing to do with any specific program.  Only way to recover is to restart the computer.  It's extremely annoying, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I fell right on the problem.

Use the Windows key + P to pass between the double screen and return to the single screen mode and returns the pointer.

Play with the mouse settings did not help.  I think it's a problem of display driver.

    Hope this helps others.

    Hello amazigh Chanda,

-Did you change on your computer before the show?

    Follow the following troubleshooting methods:

    Method 1:

I suggest to put the computer in a clean boot state and then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

To set up the computer in a clean boot, follow the steps in the link: How to perform a clean boot

Note: After checking in the clean boot, follow step: 7 article to reset your computer to normal startup.

    Method 2:

Run System File Check to fix the corrupted system files and then check how it works.

Check the link 'How to use the tool File Checker system to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or Windows 7' to run the System File Check.

Note: He may request DVDs windows of difficulty and allowing SFC to do more than minor repairs. Could some of the files saved on your computer are deleted when fixing corrupted files.

    Method 3:

Download Microsoft Safety Scanner, then scan your computer for viruses and malware then check how it works.

You can download Microsoft Safety Scanner from the link "scan to Microsoft Security.

Note:  The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. All data that are infected must be cleaned only by deleting all of the data, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hi, I'm runnding windows 7 Home premium 64-bit and for some reason my pionter mouse will not be displayed in full screen games. I thought it was the gambling problem, but my brother happened to want to play a game as to my account on the computer rather than its, and the mouse poitner don't appear.

  • The mouse pointer does not stay on top

I use installation of 'Show the mouse' in conjunction with screenshots (static) (only is not the entire screen) to simulate our application.

I find that sometimes the pointer of the mouse movement made its appearance behind the image even if the object of 'Mouse' appears at the top of the pile on the Timeline. Right click on the object of 'Mouse' on the chronology does not give me a "Foreground" option, so I'm at a loss on how to solve this problem. Tips or workarounds for this?

    Hi all

In addition to the excellent suggestion of JulieW and this was mentioned a little by the DilbertG, I had this happen to me from time to time. Even if I looked at the timeline, the mouse was sitting there on the top layer all large as life and twice as natural.

My dose? -Drag the mouse down the layers of the timeline. Now another slide to call it in the editor. Return to the original slide , then drag the mouse to the top of the timeline layers.

    Hope this helps... Rick

  • The mouse pointer does not follow the new path

I use an invisible mouse and using a copy of the first slide where the mouse appears to set my position of mouse to the next slides.  My frustration is that while the path of the mouse indicates the correct path (as prescribed by the invisible mouse on the short blade) the mouse on the next slide does not move, it just stays at the final location at the end of the path.  What I am doing wrong?

I'll give it a try.  I thank very you much for your time.

  • keyboard shortcuts do not change the mouse pointer, unless you move

    Hi guys...

I've just updated my after effects (V13.1.0.111), and now every time I have put the cursor on the main window of the video and hit a hotkey to put in place a new tool, the mouse pointer does not change.  It changes only once you move the mouse.

It's especially frustrating when you use the camera tools.  So when cycling through tools "move", "rotation" and "orientation" by pressing C, you can't see which tool is active, unless you continually move the mouse.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Yes, it is a bug.

    seasack

    Hi seasack

If you use the pointer internal (the stick between GH and B), it is very common that the ca of pointer starts to move.
The reason is a bit technical but very understandable.
The mouse pointer works like a small joystick. Means that it is that you push forward, down, sideways and so on. However, please check the HOUSE or 0-position from time to time. When you're not, this would be a normal position of the HOUSE for us but it doesn't.
It is therefore possible that it may be wrong to believe that the position of the HOUSE is when you push forward.
If you stand and do not change the position of the needle for (I think) 2 separate controls the position of the HOUSE, this position will then be the new post HOME until the next time he finds another.
Actual cases is not that extreme, of course, but more normal cases are that you bend your finger on the pointer when for example reading something on the screen. The pointer can recognize as a small boost, and if you do go, then he could have a new position of the HOUSE and start to drift or it could be "heavy" feeling in a certain direction.
The solution? Simple! Leave it on for about 5 seconds and it will go away.

If you have this problem, even if your not even using the pointer, then I guess you have a hardware problem.
Try disabling the internal mouse by pressing FN + F9.

    Good luck

    Tom

  • Anyone know how to get the mouse pointer visible on the extended screen?

Well, I finally managed to work on a way to project my w4 iconia on my TV.  So grateful to a number of people in the community for me that far, but every step seems to bring his own fresh problem to enter.  so a few questions:

    1. anyone who manages to get the iconia w4 to duplicate rather than extend?

2 - does anyone know how I can control the expanded view - I have a mouse plugged into my iconia so that I can flip through the window I want to show it on the extended screen but the mouse pointer does not appear as visible on the display (TV) extended although it does not work but the shooting blind is very frustrating - okay, if I watch a movie as soon as it runs on the extended screen it does not much you must handle but assuming I want to just browse the internet and project that onto the extended screen, so it's a big problem.

My apologies if these are stupid questions, I'm not very technically savvy.

    TYIA

This seems odd. I always change an extra-large pointer and traces of mouse long but have never had a problem with the HDMI screens like that.

What is the brand and model of your TV please? Maybe someone can duplicate.

  • White screen at the Vista start up... only the mouse pointer, loading the driver freezes on crcdisk.sys loading, sfc/scannow does not work...

    Hello
I don't know if this is the right place for this post... Sorry if it's not! I had looked online if anyone has the same problem to me, I found similar problems, but not the mine one (but if there is, can you please give me the link?).
I have a DELL LATITUDE D830's with a dual boot (Ubuntu and Vista). When I run Vista I get the Windows logo and then a black screen with only the mouse pointer.
Keyboard does not work. I can move the mouse, but can not select anything. No work of Ctr + Alt + Delete.
I can just turn off the computer. At first I need to press F8 to choose something otherwise I get the black screen.
If I reboot requesting the automatic restoration of the PC that he asks me the account and work only account is mine a (no administrator available). He then suggested to contact the administrator. I checked the error report and nothing is reported: the system works.
I have no previous configuration to restore.
I can access the command prompt. So I tried to write sfc/scannow. The answer is that to complete the process requires to restart the computer and make again sfc/scannow. I restart again, the new order, but I get the same answer...
When I get the black screen, CPU is not disabled, because after a long time (about 2 hours) the computer restarts itself... If something happens even if I don't know what!

The only thing I have not tried is to restore Vista from CD... I'm really afraid that this could remove the partition, or crash at startup I have, by removing access to Linux!

I have a backup of all my files, so no matter if what I have to do to cancel my files, but what I really need is to keep Linux operating.

So, if you have any suggestions... I'm not good at using the computer, so, please, a solution step by step be really appreciate it!
    Thank you very much

    Hi seymar,.

I suggest that you run a tool to restart system on the computer and check if it works.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

    1. Insert the installation disc.
    2. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock button, and then click restart.
    3. If you are prompted, Press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change the BIOS settingsfor your computer. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions. 4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    5. click on repair your computer.
    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    1. Insert the installation disc.
    2. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock button, and then click restart.

  • I put my mouse ps2 connection in my computer, but now the mouse buttons do not work. The pointer moves, but when I click it won't let me select anything?

I checked the mouse on another computer and it works fine.

    Hi stevebaxter,

    1. When was the last time that the mouse was working fine on the computer?

    2. What is the serial number and model of the mouse?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

Check and make sure that you have installed the latest drivers for the mouse on the computer.

Also, make sure that all the settings of the mouse on the computer are correct.

Greetings, every weekend our computers at work are automatically restarted. I just Monday and my mouse pointer is blue sky! If I use Windows inverted, the mouse pointer is changed to be transparent with black outline.     ***?     I tried looking on the Net occasionally and either get to sites that tell me how to get a blue arrow or how to use a.     No, this isn't a big problem, but I'm very curious to know why this happens.     Thank you!     AEF

  • WIN8 - no desktop, black screen with the mouse pointer. Manager tasks and the login screen work.

As usual I left my computer and after a few minutes, he fell asleep. Next morning, I had moved to the mouse, computer wakes, but I got a black screen with the mouse pointer. I hit CTRL + Alt + Delete and screen with Task Manager option appeared. I stop computer and rebooted. Welcome screen and logon is displayed. After you enter the password and click on submit that the screen becomes black with only the pointer visible mouse. I don't have not installed anything recently. Can you help me find my office?

OK, I had the same problem. I thought that if you have a pointer and can launch Manager tasks and all programs through its file > new task, then the hull works correctly. No office and no taskbar mean that something is wrong with explorer.exe. Now, he has corrupted not necessarily, may not properly launched.

    Here's what I did:

    1. I opened the Task Manager, the Details tab

    2. I killed all explorer.exe on the list

    3. just to be safe, I also tried to kill dwm.exe but it will be may not be necessary (it never goes away)

    4. I started the new instance of explorer.exe via file > run

And voila, I had the desktop and the taskbar.

    It will be useful.
