The mouse settings are reset if restart windows on Tecra

For two weeks now, I have my tecra "nine". I'm an advanced windows user, so the first thing I, was setting display of the records and other things like the mouse settings. Here is a problem:

When I change the speed of the mouse in the usual windows Setup window and I start my computer the next time, then the settings are canceled again.

I am shure that this has something to do with toshiba / alp extended mouse settings tool. With this tool, you can define the speed of the mouse, but I'm already on the ceiling it and I also want to use the increased windows mouse acceleration. Also, this box is checked, whenever I start windows again.

I already uninstalled easy Launcher from toshiba, but nothing has changed. So, I'm shure that it has something to do with the alp extended for the touch pad driver. Someone know any solution for this problem or will it soon be a driver available (debugged) updated?

Luck & peace 4 all!
Nathan

And what model Tecra?

Just bought a brand new HP Pavilion with windows 10 for £400. I'm about to return to the store unless someone can help me solve the reason for which the mouse for the touchpad settings will not save after reboot. Help, please.

    @C17

    Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  • The mouse buttons are not switched

Whenever I restart my computer I have to reset the default right back to my left hand favorite mouse buttons.  This has happened after that I upgraded my mouse driver.  Revert to a previous version did not remove the problem.

    Schoonerman salvation,

    · Who is the manufacturer of the mouse you are using?

    · Is there any type of installed software that came with the mouse?

Sometimes software and windows will be conflict and this automatically resets the settings of Windows after restart.

Do the steps below should allow you to keep all the settings in the SetPoint software at the same time to solve your problem.

    a. Click Start, type msconfig in the Run dialog box and press ENTER.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    c. in the System Configuration dialog box, click the Startup tab

    d. look for all named KHALMNPR entries or similar and uncheck the box next to them (there may only be a)

    e. click OK and restart your computer

    f. after the restart, change the speed of your mouse pointer and reboot

  • When my monitor goes to sleep I can't wake him up by clicking on the mouse. I have to restart the computer to see the monitor

When my monitor goes to sleep I can't wake him up by clicking on the mouse. I have to restart the computer to be able to see the screen.  I tried all turned on and on the screen but when I do it says monitor going to sleep

I assume you are using a desktop computer you are referring to the monitor going to sleep rather than the course of PC to sleep.

1 check the monitor power management & the display adapter in Control Panel, Manager of peripheral and during that control you the mouse power management and make sure that it is likely to be used for anything wake up.

2 in case of failure, then check the monitor & display settings of the adapter to control panel, display.

3 check manual site or the monitor stand, so the settings recommended.

4 then check the settings of the Control Panel, power options, change plan settings change advanced power settings.  In particular, if it is a USB mouse, you may disable settings settings USB, USB selective suspend setting.

  • The mouse pointer is not displayed in Windows 8.

original title: 8 the mouse pointer disappears NOT associated with the applications screen

Windows 8 64-bit running on TORDRE of Lenovo tablet 3347CTO with external monitors.

Sometimes, the mouse pointer disappears from the office.  He is always there, because I can find it by pressing CTRL (I have "use CTRL to locate mice" clicked to fix somewhere).  It will activate a program if the invisible pointer is on the icon for this program.  It reappears when you move, but only when moving.  I'm going behind the screen applications (starting) to do this. As I know it has nothing to do with any specific program.  Only way to recover is to restart the computer.  It's extremely annoying, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I fell right on the problem.

Use the Windows key + P to pass between the double screen and return to the single screen mode and returns the pointer.

Play with the mouse settings did not help.  I think it's a problem of display driver.

    Hi image,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

    a. what exactly happens when you try to open the mouse settings in the control panel?

    b. do you receive any error messages?

I suggest that you want to run System Restore on your computer.

System Restore will take your computer state permeable when it did not face such a problem, this can be done by selecting the correct restore point.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on finish.

Is there a way to stop the mouse pointer to show more of Windows Media Center, other than moving it?

    Hi hiphoppoprock,

In Windows Mode, the pointer in Windows Media center is designed to be displayed.

In order to have the pointer automatically disappear you need to change the Mode full screen.

I usually use a USB mouse, as it is easier for me than a touchpad, but mine a. kaput! So, now I'm trying to use my touchpad and I can't scroll. It has arrows on the right side and it used to make scroll... but now it doesn't. I do not remember turning this setting OFF... but when I try to see if there is a setting I can change I can not even find the Touchpad as a device. When I go into the properties of the mouse, I get a message "unable to connect to the Synaptics pointing device driver. When I go to the mouse, then material he mentions "Synaptics PS/2 Port Pointing Device. It says plugged in the mouse PS/2 port and the device works correctly. I have a Gateway M152s laptop. Any suggestions? Reinstall a driver or something?

    Help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!!

    Hello

Check with the Gateyway support, documentation in line, or forums that there is probably Hotkeys
that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

    Gateway drivers and downloads.
    http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp

Also check the control - Mouse - touchpad settings panel.

    You can also try this:

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL. Even if the touch pad is not displayed, do the rest.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

Here is the similar procedure in XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device
    If it is present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the system (gateway downloads - access your model - listed above) and down
    the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    ================================================

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    I hope this helps.
