The OID Instance Configuration and Configset

Hello
I have 2 instances of ODISRV running with configset = 1

/odisrv instance = 1 configset = 1 port = 636
/odisrv instance = 2 configset = 1 port = 389 debug = 2047

confiset = 0 is for the provision of
ConfigSet = 1 is for DIP synchronization

is it necessary to have for example configset = 0 = 1 and configset = 1 for example = 2
Pls clarify this point.

Thank you and best regards,
Azeem.

Well the truth of the matter is that the instance number that you specify can be any number not already in use.

An instance number is not related to any configset. So yes, I could start odisrv configset1 1 instance and start the instance 0 2 configset if I wanted to.

We just can't start any OID process more than once with the same number of the instance.

I hope this helps.

  • JumpStartKit installation hangs at 87% complete when creating the database / instance configuration

Hello people, I am wanting to evaluate Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 (huge improvement over 11.1.1.7, which I have already given a quick test in the VDI provided by Oracle).

So, I've discovered this Jump Start Kit that installs every needed part once you have a properly configured Linux environment. I had fun with the prereqs but now that everything is finished and I am so EXCITED to make it past 'STAGE 4 '.

So now, I encounter the same problem during installation - STEP 6 of 22 Configuration of the database Instance (creating database filling) it gets 87% complete and then nothing seems to happen, it never beyond this point, even if I wait 10 hours more:

    ***

NOTE: I think that my problem is not specific to the "Jump Start Kit", but is rather something others have met during the stage of creation/configuration of the Oracle Universal Installer in general database. And I hope that others have solved.

    . / runme INSTANCE_PASSWORD textile ROOT_PASSWORD = rpwd DOWNLOAD_DIR = = / media/sf_Downloads/JSKfiles INSTALL_DIR = / opt/oracle/portal

-L' installer makes this well before it seems to get "stuck" - even after many hours there is no change, HD does nothing, CPU stays at < 5% use:

I use VirtualBox on Windows 7, I tried several times, first with the OS as Oracle Linux 6, then Oracle Linux 5 (learning to update the version of Java of fun!).

It always happens at the same point, and then it just seems do nothing - no progress, but no error no message on the screen (see below the log files). But it seems to use less than 5%... the use of the processor and 10 hours of waiting makes no difference.

After that I got tons of Google to search, I tried increasing my paging file, adding more memory and disk space (12 GB of RAM and 10 GB sap) and 20 GB of free space on the hard disk, but still nothing has changed.

In post #2 of this thread, I'll give you separately the registration details that I hope will be useful.

    Thanks in advance!

    Darren.

PS: Moderator, I tried to create this thread in other spaces, because I did not know this 'Portal JSK' specific one, which is why my son was rejected? NO REASON WAS GIVEN. If that IS the reason why, I must say that it will be almost impossible for anyone who is able to help me actually FIND this thread here because as I said I don't think specific for ONLY JSK portal. (But I'll post it here just in case this is the reason for previous releases)

    Hey Darren -.

Installation with installation "office" is not the problem - no conflicting package it.

I did add a short and FULL in/etc/hosts domain name and use the HTTP_SERVER_NAME option.  (But again, that shouldn't cause any problems during dbca.)

I didn't install VBox extensions, since I'm just using a text installation (and created a corresponding configuration for VBox and vSphere), but I don't know that this is unrelated to all the.

Regarding packages, if the database installs fine (which did you), your packages may very well.

Here is my kickstart file - maybe you can try to use it, and then we can rule out configuration problems.  After the kickstart, everything I do is copy the installation files (in fact, I have them on a separate vmdk I just ride), and:

    (in oracle)

    CD/mnt/orainst/install & mkdir WCPortal_JSK_Linux.x 86-64 & WCPortal_JSK_Linux.x 86-64 cd & unzip /WCPortal_JSK_Linux.x86-64.zip...

    CD /mnt/orainst/install/WCPortal_JSK_Linux.x86-64 &. / runme DOWNLOAD_DIR = / mnt/orainst/installation INSTALL_DIR = / u01/app/oracle/product/webcenter HTTP_SERVER_NAME = wcportal.localdomain INSTANCE_PASSWORD = weblogic1 BIENVENUE1 = ROOT_PASSWORD

If you want to make a desktop installation, delete the text, skipx and office packages (I added a few comments around that part), and it should work fine.  Don't worry about VBox extensions until you have a JSK running successfully.

Fingers crossed it gets you more... Let me know.

  • VI Analyzer Questions: Change the default test configuration and screw "Pavilion".

I have two things I continue to come through in VI Analyzer:

    1. are there in any case to set the default VI Analyzer so that it applies to all projects, I'm working on that?

I tried to create a task in project A, registration of the configuration and any attempt to open this file in project B, but it says that the file could not be loaded. The reason for my question is that there are a few default options that just add errors that we don't care (e.g. Controls dialog on the façade - 99% of the LabVIEW code that we are working on is called from TestStand as code modules, so the front panel doesn't really count)

    2. can I score / report some screws as 'safe' for parser tests?

Basically, some screws may fail some perfectly safe way VI Analyzer tests (e.g. non-stanard errors on a 'closing' VI, who doesn't have a case error structure so that the device always gets closed). I wish I had a way to mark the VI kind VI Analyzer would ignore this particular test. This would allow me to have a rule that says something like "before any construction, run the file configuration VI analyzer and make sure there is not error", as opposed to "run VI Analyzer and examine errors, decide whether or not they are important for the VI in question..." ». An extension to this question would be how do I perform a task VI Analyzer before building when the VI Analyzer screw do not accept files cfg for project based tasks.

Any help would be greately appreciated!

    Thank you

    Shaun

    1. a project oriented .cfg file cannot be transferred between projects.  Could you possibly create a .cfg unrelated to the project file (under the option 'Start a new task' on the first page of the VI Analyzer) and use it?  He would have no file in the list, but it would have all of the configured tests as you want.  And you could start with this on your different projects .cfg file... you would just add screws based on file (on page 2 of the VI Analyzer), rather than have all come to you in a .cfg project-based.

    2. on page 4 VI Analyzer, you can exclude certain tests to run on some screws and save these settings in a .cfg.  This option is also exposed in the VI Analyzer API with VIAn exclude the VI.vi Tests.

  • After trying to use Fix - It to fix XP does not recognize the USB key, had to go back to the last good configuration and computer charge always VERY slowly. What's past and how to fix it?

Windows XP SP3 has ceased to recognize a USB flash drive and card reader that he always acknowledged in the past. I tried to use Fix - It to correct the problem. Fix - It is then asked to restart the computer. When the computer is restarted, it would not load. After waiting almost two hours, I restarted with the last good configuration. Then reloaded, it took nearly an hour. Before using the Fix - It, the computer was loading in less than five minutes after a reboot. There a lot of things on it. What can I do now to solve the problem posed by Fix - It and also correct the problem with XP recognizes does not flash drives?

    Hi lental,

    ·         Have what fixit you tried?

    ·         Do you have an error message when you try to start the computer in normal mode?

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         You're able to boot in safe mode?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not still in safe mode, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 2: Follow the steps in the article.

I'm trying to create a bridge root bridge of relationship and I'm out of luck.

they are on my desk in front of them, I tried different cisco configs and radio, keep going down.

I tried express setup (where it requires an SSID) and a manual configuration (where the SSID is not required since I DO NOT NEED to a SSID for a simple communication from gateway to gateway).

    ex: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a008058f53e.shtml

These two will link two buildings and each will have a switch on the other end.

    simple enough no VLAN etc.

I begin to suspect the IOS versions that I can't find these versions of IOS in all documentation I looked for examples of configuration.

This AP is very popular for use in severe environments as an AP not a bridge also to some bridges, you can use an omni antenna if the 1310 is the root for a mutiple no roots or the builtin antenna may not meet remotely you need and you can use a Yagi or dish for the link.

If you use a single antenna, you will have to change it in the config you use right/primary only antenna. If you do not do this, try using the left/secondary antenna AP and the connection will fail because of the lack of an antenna, your other choice is to put an antenna on both connectors and not worry.

There isn't that one radio, based on the communication software will pass the exit to the righht or left antenna if diversity is enabled

the builtin antenna is vertically polarized so you shoud in stall the Yagi with vertical polarzation is polarization normal if you follow the antenna installation instructions. There is normally an arrow and the word to indicate the orientation of the antenna.

Each AP may be at the root, don't forget to ecre evidence all coaxial connections.

Yes, you learned that the tree covering weight works.

    Good luck

  • The computers on the network: not configured and do not want

If I turn off network discovery in the advanced settings of the network and sharing in my two computers Center, a 10 Windows and other Windows 8, will then not recognize each other while at home, both connected to my wireless phone?

I just did a factory on a single computer restore and - this has never happened before-, I noticed that what I was adding or editing in a computer occurred then the other, I don't want to. For example, I changed my wallpaper in one and the other was automatically the same background a few minutes later.

I want to be able to use the two computers in my house, but keep them separate. I guess the power off network discovery will do the job, but am not sure. I guess I DO NOT want TO or should not, unplug the network in general or the network driver. I don't even know the difference between the two.

I also want my wireless adapter to continue working and I read that disconnection from the network can change something in the adapter.

Finally, I do not understand why the computers now appear automatically connected, because I did restore factory before and this has never happened.

    Hello Daffy,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.

If you disable the network discovery, you will not be able to share files and folders between devices on the same network.

The problem you are experiencing is due to the synchronization between devices with your Microsoft Account. When the synchronization is turned on, Windows keeps track of the settings that you care and sets them for you on all your devices Windows 10.

You can choose to synchronize/UN-sync things such as web browser settings, passwords and the color themes.

So, I suggest you disable synchronization of Windows settings.

  • R12: Copy a group of companies with configurations, metadata and data in the same instance of OA

The idea was born to a very common condition between the companies IT. pre-sales and pro-ventes groups do various tasks, including the response of the RPF/RFI, PoC, building, Solution architecture, customer demo etc. Ususally they do not have the dedicated application instances, or rather they do not find a sufficient number of cases of applications dedicated to deep study of the road. Every other day a group cries out for an Apps instance and the same gets lift for senior management in short time. It gives a lot of pain to the infrastructure/DBA groups because they fail to meet people like them, due to the limited availability of free nodes, resources, networks and space etc.

I have a Vision of the R12.1.3 (tell SID = VIS1213) installed on a Linux machine. The box is quite busy with his hearts limited, showing little free memory and the attached SAN has insufficient free space remaining. A group of Oracle Apps pre-sales consultants, says "Group 1", is the use of this.»

Now the 3 other groups are asking for a R12.1.3 Vision instance separately for different reasons below. Each of them wants the instance again and do not share with others.

Group-3 for the development of a point of contact for a customer demo
Group 4 for the manufacture of PUK media on some business processes

In this scenario, I should install 3 distinct Vision of R12.1.3 (using CDs or downloaded zip) or clone VIS1213 in 3 different places with different SIDS, possibly on one or more separated nodes (as above Linux node has insufficient free resources). In this case, the need for available server resources and disk space multiplied by 3, so that DBA maintenance for these 3 new instances is added.

Hope that I have clear air up to this point.

Then I was thinking if we have "virtual instances" within an existing instance of Apps, by copying from a vertain org level. First I thought I'd take THE level, but it will not work if an instance of group to work with HRMS claims. We must therefore take business group level. After that we will create the appropriate role and responsibility, user profile options so that the new user can see and work on the new BG and data area down only. It will be like a separate instance to use.
Benefits of my desired task will be

-no separate server resource, the required network
-no additional DBA not involved maintenance
    -no separate required backup plan

So here it is to create 3 new "virtual instances" right within the same instance of VIS1213. New groups will have same URL, same existing TNS details but 3 credentials different existing access. Each of them would be limited in a way so that they can not see each and other data and can not hurt each and other changes.

This can be achieved if we can copy an existing group of its activities with org structures, metadata and data, within the same instance. Oralce planning cannot be copied within the same instance configurations.

What I've done so far was I manually created a new BG, attached an existing sobbing (CoA, Agenda / currency), created a new, copied and modified accounting structure flexfields before fixing, created the new ORGANIZATIONAL unit, and then a new InvOrg of master and a new InvOrg clild, defined the profile MO some GL and HR profiles. Then I extracted finished master and data assignment article category Masters against a master/child existing InvOrg, updated the data for newly created InvOrgs, inserted into tables insterface and ran seeded import conc program element. Except for a few, all data have been loaded into base against new InvOrgs tables.

Then I tried with master provider (with sites and contacts). A few AP configurations are required, and then data provider (+ contact + site) have been loaded against OR newly created (under new BG) base tables.

I do not proceed after that. I'm currently looking for ideas from the experts on how to go further.

Planning is able to create this kind of 'virtual instance' within the same instance of OSTEOARTHRITIS?

    PL nowadays return.

  • MC placed several times and given the same instance name?

Hi all, I'm pretty new to the code in flash.

I especially used to use object oriented programming, but in flash, I do everything in an image.

I'm a car game. A little style GTA, but very simple. You are a police car and chasing you a thief through a city.

The thief uses ground nodes to know where it can lead, and where he can turn.

Basically, here's the scene. I placed these objects directly on the stage and given some of them instance names. :

    _________________________________

    |      O

    |  I have o

    |            _______________________

    |            |

    |            |

    |            |

    |            |

    |      ^     |

    |      |     |

    |     X     |

The is a MC named node_switch.

The O is the two objects of the same MC, who both are named node_stop

The X is the thief (mc), and it's driving up along the road.

When the thief strikes node_switch, it will look up, down, left and right if any node_stop is placed.

This is done with hitTestObject. the thief 'beams' invisible in 4 directions, inside it's MC.

    The problem is as follows:

When several nodes are placed on the stage, the thief faces only one of them.

As I said, they have the same instance name.

Is there a way to be able to place them directly on the stage, give them all the same instance name and make a loop where it goes through each of them and check the collision?

    Edit:

Or maybe it is possible to place them directly on the stage, give them the name of bodies such as 'node_switch01', 'node_switch02' and then check for them all at the same time in a loop for or in some other way? There will be a lot of knots, then...

If you name them all differently, you will have an easier time of it.  Loop through them with the naming convention, you suggested that you can use the notation of support, but it would be easier to get rid of zeros...

    for (var i: uint = 1; i<=numNodes;>

    {if (Thief.hitTestObject (this ["node_switch" + String (i)])}

    don't go that way

    }

    }

  • How a RAC DB 'spreads' the only instance to multiple instances?

    GI/RDBMS Version: 11.2.0.3

    OS: Oracle Linux 6.3

    File system: ASM

When a RAC database is created using dbca, manually, or restore RMAN, the DB is created in the first Node1 with cluster_Database = FALSE.

Then, you run the following (for 3-node RAC) commands to Node1

srvctl add the d o $ORACLE_HOME lmnprod +LMNPROD_DATA01/lmnprod/spfilelmnprod.ora Pei database

    srvctl add instance d lmnprod-i lmnprod1 - n hwcarser290

    srvctl add instance d lmnprod-i lmnprod2 - n hwcarser291

    srvctl add instance d lmnprod-i lmnprod3 - n hwcarser292

Once the DB is created, mounted and open in Node1 and the above commands are executed, you define cluster_Database = TRUE and Instance2 startup and Instance 3 in Node2 and Node3.

I just want to know how Node2 and Node3 had knowledge of the DB and joined the cluster DB? What happens internally?

In General, registration in OCR is not required for the database to a cluster database.

Migration of database unique to the cluster instance consists of creation of redo and undo tablespace for the new instance newspapers and allowing this forum (thread). If the database is managed by the policy, this is done automatically for the new node.

  • During playback from the USB-6008 on the OID entry, he reads the top floating. How to configure to read low when it is anything but 5V

I have a USB-6008, I read an entry on the OID.

I want this 1 report when the line has a present 5v and 0 for something else.

When I don't have anything on the lines.  It reads 1

How configure it to read 0 when nothing is connected?

Also how I re this in c#

    Thank you

    Hello ashitakaLax,

The USB-6008 housing has an internal pull-up resistance to 5V (according to page 22 of the User Guide and specifications) that pulls the line to 5V when nothing is connected.

In order to change this, you can add an external resistance of menu drop down to make the output to the earth when it is disconnected, if your device should get power to fuel the high line.

    Kind regards

  • How to set up the single instance of data of high availability and disaster tolerance

    Hi Experts,

I have unique database and instance need to configure for high availability and disaster tolerance

What are the DR options available for synchronization of database at a remote site with a delay of 5 to 10 minutes.

Application connects to the local site and DR site should be the remote site.

    1 oracle FailSafe with SAN?

    2. What is the security integrated on linux centos/oel solution?

    3. If the storage is on the San (for example) then is it possible to set up a shell script

which detects if the source database is down for 5 minutes, ride the SAN stored the files of database on the remote computer and

change the ip in the application, so it will never connect to the source ip address

    Thank you and best regards,

    IVW

    Hello

Rupture can occur in any level

    1 oracle FailSafe with SAN?

--> Do check if you have failure in storage, your security will do nothing to bring back data

--> Seen failsafe, will be only the insurance when MS cluster moving the disc and services to different node, configured services starts.

    2. What is the security integrated on linux centos/oel solution?

--> Under linux, you need to set the scripts to run, and you can check the option on the cluster OS

    3. If the storage is on the San (for example) then it is possible to configure a shell script that detects if data source is down for 5 minutes, mount SAN stored the files of database on the remote computer and

change the ip in the application, so it will never connect to the source ip address

--> This you will get a cluster of BONES...

    Points to note:

    ================

--> If there is power failure sudden, we can expect there may be lost writing in your data block, which will bring the inconsistency to your data file and redo

--> Here, there is problem with your drive?

--> If there is problem with your complete domain controller (how will you mount FS to a remote server?)

Note what we are discussing was HA and you try to keep an idle server all the time (you have a server with more RAM & CPU)

Why you can't check an option of CARS, can also have the cluster extension...

And to avoid the loss of data and to meet the RPO and RTO in all time (same DC came down, storage failure, server crash), you may need to use Oracle data guard...

    Ask questions if you have

    Thank you

  • Sqlnet.ora instance configuration when instances share the same host

    Hello

According have modernized some of our databases to 11.2 which was on different machines on the same host again we realized that one of them had node valid control setting with the list of nodes invited in sqlnet.ora.

Is it possible that we keep this configuration for the instance and keep others outside this configuration?

    Kind regards

    Laughing out loud

And the use of valid_node and invited_node is fairly lame to start. I always wondered why implemented oracle implementation in their layer of sqlnet at all, being the right place to do the filtering on the router ip.

So now you must be wondering why a single instance - and no others - used it in the first place. The solution to your dilemma will depend on the answer to this question. It could be that for a particular instance of filtering IP was valid. However, the decision to do so at the level of the layer of tns was wrong, and then pass that instance to a host with other bodies which have different requirements only aggravated the original error.

  • The AIA question: COM and SOM are in different instances of the OSM

    Hi all!

I tried to install control components to enable it in my local environment.

When I set up "OracleComms_OSM_O2A_COMSOM_TypicalSolution" in the same server, the order of implementation of the SOM was created successfully.

But during the installation of control components to enable it in the step "Setup of WebLogic Server resources", I decided to use the typical topology, deployment, central order (COM) management and management service (SMO) order in different instances of the OSM.

After configure WebLogic Server Components in both machines (COM - SOM) I have been "OracleComms_OSM_O2A_COM_TypicalSolution" in my local computer and 'OracleComms_OSM_O2A_SOM_Solution' in the other machine. But when I'm in the tests of time that COM order cannot create the order of implementation of the SOM in the other machine.

I need to configure to be available to create orders of Provisioning SOM in a different machine according to the proposed model?

    Best regards

    AndresG

    Hi Andres,

Please check two things if you did that you have two separate instances

    (1) in the ProvisioningSITask, please check if 'WebServiceCreateProvisioningOrderQueue' has any published without any error message.

    (2) If a 1 is Yes, then please check if you have created a JMS bridging between the two instances of the OSM. As the COM message should sink to SOM per JMS Bridging.

    Thank you

  • When I need the machine tnsnames.ora and customer configurations?

    Hello

I installed Oracle 11 g on Linux system and successfully created the databases. I can access the database (on server) Enterprise Manager and SQL * (by sqlplus SYSTEM/pass@ora). On another computer I installed the Oracle 11 g database Client (and chose the type administrator installation). Before you start the network for local configuration Setup Wizard Net Service Name, I started Enterprise Manager (the same address, what happens on the server). I was very surprised that I can access Enterprise Manager client without any additional configuration.
I know, tnsnames.ora help with SQL * more (we can access SYSTEM/pass@ora and don't give no address ip and port).
And my questions: can I access by Enterprise Manager of any client computer without creating tnsnames.ora and additional configurations client machine?
Is SQL * more use only tnsnames.ora?

    Thanks awfully for help.

Yes, because the Business Manager is an application of 3 layers: you connect to an application server that connects to the database instance.

    Luk004 wrote:

No.: each client must connect directly to the instance of database with a base layer Oracle Call Interface (OCI) must use tnsnames.ora.
    There are a few exceptions:
    -The thin JDBC driver: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_environments.htm#sthref52.
    -EZConnect connection string: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/network.102/b14212/naming.htm#ABC524382SRI12.
