the original administrator user access

Hi guys
I had a problem in the administrators, the only user account on my com I couldn't remember the password. When I go home so I created a new account with a different name, but with full administrator rights and a password as I remembered.
Rolls and then stop.
Now every time I log in I can only see the new user and not the old account administrator. I need a cus old my office had all my docs on this subject and I do not see the on the new user. When I try to add a new user with the username administrator login it says there is already one.
How can HELP I reactivate the old admin account
Thank you

Looks like you have Windows XP Pro or Media Center and use the administrator for your daily work. Then, you have created a second administrative account and the top that administrator has disappeared from the Welcome screen. This is normal because you really don't want one account administrative user on the system. If I guessed your situation correctly, you can put the built-in Administrator (the one that you use regularly) back on the Welcome screen. Keep the other administrative account as an extra in an emergency (such as when you cannot access your account daily user or forgot the password once again).

I am not able to access or change anything from anywhere or management; (Registry, other user accounts, other folders or files, properties or fields etc.) due to the restrictions on my PC.  I tried to use the takeown.exe tool, but I'm not sure what should be entered in the command line.  I read on the parameters to TO, but do not seem to get any results.

Since you were using the command prompt window when you created the new user, I just assumed you have made using the command:

NET user newuser * / add

where 'newuser' is the name of the new user?

Did you also give this privilege to administrator newuser entering control:

net localgroup administrators newuser / add

    While logged as administrator?

It would be necessary to perform the actions that you are trying to do.

  • is it possible to give all administrator privileges to another administrator account other than the original administrator account?

I created another account to administrator and I deleted the original (which was set in place when I got my computer) and kept the original files. I was then going to use my new administrator as the main account. I tried to install and update to an application and he said I have peut not be able to download all the updates, because the original was the one that installed applications. So in a sense, there are some applications and programs I am not able to change, delete, or update.

    Hello Jerry,.

Try implementing the security level of data rather than object level. While this same OBIEE administrator can view the column, they will not be able to access the data. If you implement this DB level it's great, so admin can not even revert the changes or you can do it in SPR, but there is always a risk to reverse changes by admin.

  • I tried to create a USER with administrator rights, as suggested by XP, but now I don't see the icon administrator when connecting?

My new user does not have the original administrator logon icon the same settings, computer desktop or programs I should use and before setting up the new user.  How can I copy, convert or restore settings (find) the Director, programs, files, documents, office, Internet settings and Favorites, etc. to the new USER?

Since owning my laptop I had connected using the Administrator icon and had an icon of comments, as well, until last Thursday.  I tried to follow the advice of XP and create USERS, so the administrator access would not be compromised.  Children were downloading apps and devours space... I was afraid they would accidentally remove a program or file, or worse... Then...

When I set up my USER he asked me if I would be the Admiistrator. I said yes.  But, when iI rebooted my laptop, only the icon of the USER (S) presented at the connection... the Administrator icon was missing. and my new USER reflects only a few shortcuts shared on the desktop...

I expect Admin rights and my old administrator settings.  I need to recover them because all my documents and especially my work programs do not exist.

Help, please!  It would be greatly appreciated EV.  I would like to restore to last Wednesday, if the system would, but it seems that it will not.

    Sincerely,

    KC

What you experienced is normal.  When you create another user, the original administrator account becomes hidden.  It's still there (in fact, it cannot be deleted), it just doesn't appear in the login screen.

You should still be able to login as administrator.  When you get to the login screen, just tap Ctrl-Alt-Del twice.  This will bring up a login dialog window.  Just enter 'Administrator' in the user name and the password (if any) in the password line and press 'return '.  If you want or need to copy your files and data from the administrator account to the new account that you created, and then follow the steps in the following procedure and claim that your administrator profile is corrupted or damaged.

  • Administrator accounts still exist, but do not appear in the list of users or on the Welcome screen.

    Hello

A week or two ago, the non-administrator user account icons disappeared from the Welcome screen in Windows XP (32-bit home edition).  Also do they not appear on the list of user accounts.  However, their directories of files remain on the hard disk in Documents and Settings.  They can connect via CTRL ALT DEL x 2, but that's all.  If I try to recreate the accounts, returns the message "account already exists."  I searched the web for ages and many similar symptoms, but none reported patches work.  Any ideas please?
    Thank you very much.

    Matthew,

In light of the where you are, my next step would be to treat these users hidden like 'corrupt profiles' and try one of the several approaches that cover profiles corrupted.  The General method to recover a damaged profile is to create a new user and move all data of the corrupted user profile which has been created.  Once this was accomplished, the corrupted profile can be deleted from the system as well as the user name.  Follow the procedures described in either of the following items:

You must restore your registry to a point in time before that you have disabled the administrator user.  It is not easy if there is any left on the system administrator user.

One way to do this is to start your computer from a CD rescue-style such as BartPE and UBCD4Win or Linux Livecd such as Knoppix.  You can then follow the steps in the following article from part 2, step 6, using GUI to copy and rename the files rather than orders from command-line specified in article.

"How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup"

  • Cannot delete files to the trash (Recycle Bin access denied)

    System: Windows 7 Ent SP1 x 64, i7 930, 24GO RAM with all updates

When I try to delete files in Windows Explorer, I get the following error (most of the time, but not always):

Window with the title 'Recycle Bin access denied' and the message

" cannot be moved to the trash. Do you want to permanently delete it? »

I can then permanently delete the file, even if I sent to the trash.

I tried the following (nothing works):

-checked to see if the file is locked with Process Explorer (find handle or DLL)-it is not (and it can be removed permanently)

-deleted all the recycle bins on all drives & restarted. New recycling bins have been created, but it did not help.

-changed of owner of baskets and all files as (with the takeown command). Corrupt system baskets complained, emptied their and restored to their previous state. This did not help the primary problem.

-set the maximum size to the size of the disk on all baskets. It has no effect on the main problem.

-J' also checked the security for the folders tab $RECYCLE. BIN on all readers and define "Full control" for users. SYSTEM and administrators had already 'Full comtrol. This did not help also.

What is strange (and new), is when I open the Recycle Bin, the files are always considered to be "Tiles" (which I did not). If I put it in 'Détails', the change is not permanent - the next time I open the Recycle Bin, the files are showed once again as "Tiles".

What can I do to be able to delete (all) files via the Recycle Bin?

Thanks Mike for the response, but none of the methods helped. There was no malware and even in safe mode, I could not delete files to the Recycle Bin. In addition, the original administrator account could not delete to the Recycle Bin.

But I think I found the culprit:

Apparently, this problem showed that in the downloads folder, to which I had many junctions (to be easily accessible). Due to lack of space on the C: drive, I remembered that I have moved through properties-> location on a disk with more space. Instead of the old folder in C:\Users\ downloads I put a junction pointing to the new location.

Now, I had old junctions pointing to C:\Users\personal, which in turn was a junction pointing to a new location. Registration/creation/look at one/etc files in folder downloads accessible through 2 junctions was of course OK, but delete somehow was not able to delete files to the Recycle Bin. When I fixed the remaining junctions to point directly to the new location of the download folder, delete started working OK again.

    Summary:

Delete the file (SHFileOperation?) is not able to use the trash, if the file is accessible via junction 2 points (or more?).

  • I can't remove a name of administrative users off of my computer

I can't remove a name of users off of my computer.  the user has administrative privileges (like me), but I can't delete it from my side.  any help would be appreciated, this is an XP SYSTEM

Original title: performance and security in Internet Explorer

By Microsoft Design, it is impossible to remove the original "Administrator" account.

Perhaps the original ' administrator' account has been renamed to be that user.  If so, it cannot be deleted.
Just rename it to "Administrator" (right click on 'My Computer'-> manage-> local users and groups-> users-> right click on the user-> rename) and put a good password on it.

You can also try to delete the profile.
Right click on "My Computer"-> properties-> Advanced (tab)-> settings (under user profiles)-> [select user]-> Delete

  • no administrator user on computer

I have set up my son on the laptop as administrative user and then added myself as a user.  After I realized that I wanted to be listed as the admin user and when I made the change administration user somehow lost all together.  Now whenever I need to make a change or whatever it is, I wonder the admin password and no room is provided to enter an and there is no list of potential user to allow access through.  I tried to do a system restore, but it need the permission of the user.

How can I fix it?  It told me that there is a problem in the software and needs to be reconfigured.  Where can I access this information and how to change?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Then for the purposes of testing, I created an administrator account by myself with the name of "Admin". so after that, I could not delete the Admin account, I don't want this account because I don't want to lose any of my story.

I want to work with the default Administrator account and I would like to delete the Admin account I created.

Is this possible?. Please someone help remove my Admin account and continue with the default Administrator account...

    Hi Ravikaran,

-What exactly happens when you try to delete the administrator account? You receive an error message or error code? If Yes, indicate the same.

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to perform this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from complete this procedure.

See the following articles for more information on the deletion of the account:
