If you delete a report of events in Event Viewer you cannot restore unless you saved it first. You have to re-create the task.

  • What happens when you disable the service "Windows Error Reporting Service" in order to avoid an annoying and misleading popup error message?

I kept getting annoying "authentication failure.  Please check your user name and password of the account '... xyz. "" error every 30 seconds. "

I tried to restore my system and antivirus running - even to reinstall my anti-virus.  I deleted the accounts in question and kept still getting the error message.  Note, receive emails has never been a problem.

I finally disabled the element of the system of "Windows Error Reporting Service" MS configuration and now the error pop ups have disappeared.  Is it correct to keep this function disabled?

    Thank you.

To check the event logs, go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event handler.

To achieve the reliability and performance monitor, go to start / search and type in reliability, and then double-click the program icon that appears.

I hope this helps.  You can always check these sites periodically and do not need WER to warn you of a problem (even if it is perhaps faster) - you can check manually.  WER serves a purpose and he gives notification of a problem (which is good), but not in the circumstances that you knew.  This is a "nice to have" feature - not absolutely necessary.  We can try testing again to see if we can find the problem with WER if you're at it - or you can simply leave it off and make periodic checks of manual (decision is yours).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Problem connecting to the Windows error reporting service. Some of the reports can not be uploaded to the Windows error reporting service. Please try again later.

    Hello

When I present reports of error and asks me to send additional information, I get the above error. I have read and tried all the solutions already asked for this problem except for the removal of error reports (because if I do that, how could they be downloaded for analysis?)

    Just to confirm, I have:
Restarted with a clean Windows with only Microsoft services running and no boot entry and retried the upload.
A ran the SFC system without any problems.
Insured to the logs and alerts are allowed through the firewall and temporarily disabled my virus scanner traffic analysis

The persistent questions seem to be Google Reader goes down, and several accidents related to my AMD video driver.

    Hope you can help.

    Hi Kyle,.

Did you do any change in software of hardware on the computer before this problem?

You can read the following steps and check if it works.

    Method 1:

Check if error reporting is enabled.

For do I suggest you check if error reporting service Windows has stopped working. Try to start the service by following the steps below:

    a. click Start> type of search in the servicesbox, press enter > find windows error reporting service in the list of the list of services > right click , and then click Start.

    (b) also to run the service as Auto, please follow the steps below.

    c. right-click on the service from the list of windows error reporting services and then click Properties > there will be a pop-up screen > check for startup type and select Automatic under drop down menu and apply the settings.

    Note:

The purge will remove the existing report but if the problem reappears to collect the reports again and you will be able to move forward with the process of reporting errors.

Purge all existing reports by using the disk cleanup utility, and then see if you can send information to the server of problem reports.

    Refer to this help article.

    Delete files using disk cleanup

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup

    Method 2:

Please refer to Google Drive Known Issues, you can also ask your question in the support of Google using Google Drive question forums.

For the problem with the AMD video driver, you can try to update the drivers for the latest on the manufacturer 's Web site and check if that helps.

To know better the question you can always check the event viewer details related to the issue.

With the event in the Event Viewer logs, you can get information about your hardware, software and components of the system and monitor the events of security on a local or remote computer. Event logs can help you identify and diagnose the source of current system problems or help you predict potential system problems.

    Open event viewer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer

Please return to the State of the issue and also let us know in case you need assistance on issues related to Windows.

  • Windows Error Reporting service stopped recording of events in the event log, and now when it spawns werfault.exe, the process consumes the CPU until he is killed.

Windows error reporting service ceased to record events in the event viewer. The last successful entry was 26/03/2010. Since then whenever the service generates Werfault.exe to handle the error, the process seems stuck in a loop of consumer processor, but do nothing. It uses 99% of CPU (80% preferred), is not e/s and number of handles, thread, & working set do not develop.

Three Windows updates were installed in shortly after the last successful log entry (automatic update is enabled):

KB915597 def 1.79.702.0 & def 1.79.495.0 both for Windows Defender

    KB980182 for IE 7

I think that my system is clean, at least Spyware Doctor think it is. I also did some tests Ad-Aware. Windows Defender analyzes every day without error.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Hi Wannknow,

It's good information - and thanks for the thanks! You really only need to run an adware or virus (malware) program at the same time. What I would recommend is that you choose an adware program - either "Windows Defender" or "spyware doctor" and disable the other. This can be your root problem, so at this point I turn back on 'report of problems and solutions' and see if you experience the same problem:

    Again, here are the instructions:

    1. open Control Panel. (Press Ctrl-ESC and type 'control' is faster access method).

    2. click on "System and Maintenance" and then click "problem reports and solution."

    3. click on change settings in the left panel of the problem reports and Solutions window.

    4. Select Advanced settings.  In the "for my programs, problem report is: ' select 'off '. Click on CLOSE the

Whenever I try to check for solutions in the Windows 7 Action Center, I get the following error message: problem connecting to the Windows error reporting service. Some of the reports can not be uploaded to the Windows error reporting service. Please try again later.

This problem began to appear a few days ago, even if I did not any changes to my computer. I do not have any firewall (with the exception of the default Windows Firewall) and all my other programs work very well on the Internet.

    Hello

    1. you are using a third party software to clean your computer?

It could be caused by a registry cleaning program that has been authorized to remove or delete the part of these located registry entries to the:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches

    Step 1:

I suggest you to use the Windows Defragmenter software rather than a third party to fix.

    Step 2:

Please make sure that you run the tool, Disk Cleanup with administrator rights.

  • Should I delete "by user pending windows error reporting" in disk cleanup?

Hi, I'm using Vista Home Premium and this is my question.

'by user windows error reporting pending"on my performances of more than 16.5 GB so disk cleanup I think delete. I checked the forums window says it's a bug and will mess up my data if I did. But the answers were pretty old (2007-beginning of 2009). My laptop is just upgraded to service pack 2. So I don't know whether or not this so-called bug has already been fixed. Should I delete it or just leave it there? Will it continue to grow if I don't do anything? I read some messages and some said that it has increased to more than 100 GB.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you encounter any problems, then you can use Disk Cleanup to remove all error reports and
    dump files.

    I hope this helps.

  • Vista - system queued windows error reporting problem

My Vista disk cleanup utility reports that I can save 258GB by removing "system queued windows error reporting." Well well... my HD is only 145GB so somethiing is bad.

    I read a url that has a fix: http://www.oamate.com/is-it-safe-to-delete-system-queued-windows-error-reporting.html

Is this a correct solution? Looks like it's a bug of Microsoft for you, but I can't find anything about this on the Microsoft.com site. In this forum, there is a thread that says it's OK to dele it, but I don't want to lose all my data!

    Thank you

Its ok to delete the data in queue for the error report windows.

In the event of a hardware or software problem on your computer, Windows collects information that describes the problem, called a problem report. Report details can include, for example, the name of a program that has stopped working, the date and time that a problem occurred, or the version of the program, which has encountered the problem.

Sending a problem report allows Windows to notify you if a solution is available. If a solution is not available, you can ask to provide additional details about the problem in order to create a. Additional details can include files or parts of files that help to identify the problem and explain how it has affected your computer. Windows does not intentionally collect personal information, and you can view additional details in a problem report before sending it to Microsoft.

If you want to disable this feature, follow the steps mentioned in the link below
