  I connected the printer Deskjet 2540 to my computer and searched through WiFi on my ipad and iphone, found the printer and inserted the password, everything all right and I can print from all three.  However, to do this I need to disconnect my main home WiFi connection... .Hence printing I do not have access to Internet.  Is it really how works prininting Air?  I thought that the answer lies in the EWS on my Tablet and phone access, but the Ip address http://192.168.223.1 appears as unknown.  Any help and advice would be appreciated.

  Re my last... tried again and bingo.  You were spot now using the air printer without the need to disconnect from the internet, and not through the router.  Also, my son to the Canada has the same printer and had the same problem and it is running now, too.  Thanks again

• HP DeskJet 2546B: Deskjet 2540 stops in the middle of the print page

  I was not able to connect my computer to my pc via wifi a colledge, so I connect my printer via the usb port on my pc (I use the white cable provided with the printer that connects to the back of it). Impression of normal word documents is very well, but I have been tring to print several pages of a pdf file and it stops a few lines of print. No error message, no warning sounds, just stops. The power light flashes too.

  The cord is still plugged, it says in my devices on my pc that is always connected, and I can see the print job in my what. I can delete from my without any problem and it will spit the rest of th page. If I leave without doing anything, he will spit the pages finally after one minute. It will always work in Quebec of the printer, but it won't do anything with it.

  And I can't seem to convert the content of the pdf in word format to work around the problem.

  What can I do to fix this?

  I understand that you are using a HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-One printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print from a PDF file the print job stops printing without any error messages, but seem to print correctly from MS Word. I would like to help.

  I would start by checking the printer software installed by downloading and running the tool HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

  It could also help to ensure that the updates of Windows are updated.

  If HP Printy and the Scan doctor does detect no problem with printing software, perhaps that the software used to view and print PDFs must be updated, or uninstalled, then reinstalled.

• HP Deskjet 2540: The printer does not work.

  My printer does not print the page, I am sinking.  Instead it tries to download a page that I tried to download a few days ago and he has yet to recognize the page.  It was an image of the Liberty Bell, so I assumed it was copyrighted and would allow me to print and I rejected the page.  Apparently he is stuck somewhere in the printer and it does not load and therefore does not allow me to print the page that I need now.  How can I get this thing off my storage or my printer?  I watched everything I know to review and check in the printer itself.  I do not know how to remove the application printing the page because I can't find in the computer anywhere.

  I have a printer HP Deskjet 2540, which works fine until I bought a new modem WLAN. The old modem Netgear 4 G LTE WLAN S and a new Huawei 4 G WLAN E5377. My computer and tablet work well with this new device, but the printer is not. I tried to put the modem, printer and computer off and restart them, but it did not help me. I removed the Windows Firewall, it did not help. I tried all sorts of troubleshooting and to take off a printer from the list of printers and install it again. I downloaded HP scan and print doctor without any help. I printed the list of WLANs testresults. He told me that the SSID is always the old name of modem. What I need to change this name to be again? How to do?

  You will need the new modems to the printer, such as the SSID and the new password information. You can either follow the procedure described in this document, to:

  Or you can also change your SSID and password to what it was with the old modem, and printer should just reconnect. If you do it this way, you will need to change your computer and the Tablet back as well.

A new download of supported USB printing does not work as it says that the correct version is already there.   I suspect that the problem is with Windows 10, I downloaded a few months ago.  My laptop are perhaps not fully compatible with Windows 10, as it was purchased in early 2012.  Any help will be appreciated - thanks!

  I use an Epson with Win10 and it did NOT work properly until I removed the stuff that MS installed and replaced it with the software and downloaded Epson drivers.

  I need a little more information to give you the best course of action.

  What is you receive the exact error message?

  Without this error message, I suggest trying a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing problems. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor, if she doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages that you receive.

  You can always try to uninstall the printer software and then by downloading new firmware for you printer. Click on this link to get the all-in-one HP Deskjet 2540 Printer series full feature software and drivers.

• deskjet1512: supplied with the printer ink cartridges seem to be bad.

  With my printer ink cartridges are different from those shown on video installation.  The contacts in video are on the long side & albums, contacts of mine are on the top and the short side.  They don't fit in.  The number of cartridge amounts to 61 and corresponds to what is printed on the printer.  I can't make them fits correctly, they won't with the long (blank) side out but not attach or stay in.

  I agree that the printer takes cartridges #61. I have the 2540 all-in-one (almost exactly the same model) at home and I also found the initial installation of ink to confusion. When I realized that the main cartridge sticker or label should be facing while he sits on the cartridges and readable installation is a breeze.

  I'll be happy to help you.

  I'd do a power reset to see if that will solve the problem.

  When the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cable to the back of the printer, if the printer has external power supply with a detachable power cord unplug for 15 seconds and reconnect it.
  Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain the power.

  Then, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.

  Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and turn on again.

  Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

  Print a network page to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

  Check the IP address to check if the printer is still on the network.

  Cycle power to the router and the computer.

  Try and print again if you have a valid IP address.
