Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

See you soon.

  • Problems to start Windows Vista / slow route and the screen is very big

    Hello

Last night, something happened and the power strip with all the strings of my computer was turned off. When I turned it on Windows took a long time to start. I tried several times to boot mode safe but it freezes when it loads the files "Windows". When I choose to start normally it takes about 30 minutes up to what the login screen appears, but the screen is large and disproportionate as if the resolution was too low. If I connect to try to change the resolution of my computer runs very slow and I can't do anything.

I can not start safe mode and I tried to use the last good known Configuration, but my computer is blocked that do too. It freezes at the "loading windows files" with the white loading bar. The bar completely and then everything stops as if my computer is blocked. The only way he can start very slowly normally is, and then I can't do anything with it. For not to mention everything on the screen how big is. I checked the resolution with my monitors settings and it says its normal.

At this point, I am completely lost and have no idea what could be the problem or what I need to do.

My computer is a HP Pavilion Elite m9357 PC c.

The monitor is an HP w2207h

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Power outages can damage the equipment.

I suggest that you see if you can save your data > do reinstall a factory.

If this does not solve your problems, then it points to a hardware problem.

With a CV, you press F11 repeatedly at startup to start the recovery process to factory settings.

    See you soon.

  • NB550D boots in black of the screen and cannot turn off even

I had my NB550D for only less than a month. I've updated the memory to 2 GB and the Op to Home Premium system, but nothing else. It's on auto update on security issues, and I remained with the McAfee protection which was pre-installed (and paid for a year).

All is well until a few days ago when you turn on, I just got black screen. Could hear the fan and disc well. Finally pressed the power button, nothing changed, has waited a bit, pressed again and it is off. When I pressed once again he came as usual. Used several times in the last two days and has been very well. Now today I get black screen again and can hear the fan. When subsequently, I pressed switch, I heard snoring disk but still black screen. Since then, tried pressing on/off switch from time to time but no change at all - can't turn off!

    Anyone has any suggestions please?

    Flingel

I read in another forum that the answer must take the battery (having already taken the sector) so it will die and then press on and press and hold power for 30 to 60 seconds. I had nothing urgent to do let him die naturally when the battery is missed rather than take out the battery when it was on. Then, I held the power button for 60 seconds, plugged in and turned on. It starts very well now, but of course I don't know a) the question of whether it is because I held the power button in 60 seconds and b) on the question of if same thing will happen again, so if anyone has experience of this behavior, I would be grateful for comment.

    Thank you

  • I had just installed Windows 7. I always play Scrabble on Pogo games but now the screen is too big and it cuts the bottom of the screen in the game and I see not the letters I have haveto choose. Any suggestions please.

    Hi Rangerlone88,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

Do you get the display only problem with the games online, or also on the desktop?

What browser do you use to go online?

If you use Internet Explorer, you can check the level of zoom in the bottom right of the screen and set it to your liking.

You can also try to optimize Internet Explorer.

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Security, and then click delete browsing history.
    3. In delete the browsing history area, click Remove.

A progress bar is displayed to indicate that the browsing history is currently disabled. Once this process is complete, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.

  • Everything on the screen is too big

having a problem with the size of the screen can see everything on the screen, it is too big

do not know how to set the size of the screen everything is too big

If you speak together, this can sometimes be corrected by adjusting the display settings.  Go to start / Control Panel / customization / display settings / advanced settings / list all Modes and select a different option.  Those with a higher number usually result in images on-screen snakker (and text smallerr).  Test to see if it helps with your problem.  Once you find that you like, click OK and then again in the program.  Windows will now use this new display with all screens and programs setting.

  • Where can I go to adjust the size of the police of the headers, tabs, toolbars? Messages, pages, on the screen appears normal and can be adjusted using ctrl +-.

Run Firefox 28.0. Just updated, which did not help. On Firefox and Thunderbird font size increased to headers, tabs, toolbars, drop-down menus, etc. What's on the display appears normal and can be adjusted by using the CTRL +. Has no effect on the toolbars, headers, etc. My resolution is to the max, small icons, the size of the text to 100%.

You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the topic: config page on 1.0 or Windows 8 to 1.25 and if necessary adjust layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) do the icons to display properly.

  • Images on the screen are HUGE. Can you help me with this?

The images on my screen are HUGE. I can't read a page without sweeping left and right.  If I try to play a game, it is impossible, because the game does not appear.  This has happened without any changes to the computer.  In addition, several times when I go on Facebook, the police is so small I can't read, I have to click on 'zoom' and set it to 125 in order to read it.  An example of how out of whack it is, when I turn on my computer, there is a circle of color just before the authentication page rises and this circle is now an oval.  Please can someone give me detailed instructions on how to solve this problem.  Don't forget I'm a novice on the computer and don't know most of the 'computer language' thank you very much in advance. LATER THAT DAY... Problem solved, thanks to you all.

Right-click on your desktop, click Customize, then click the bottom display settings and you can change the resolution in the new window that opens
