I have the laptop above and a week ago the laptop fell, my partner was out with the machine in time and I don't know it fell on concreate must have rolled. Now, the screen is completely broken. What I see is a white blob, it publishes, but then I get a "disc error".

The HARD drive does not sound good. His will required: a new full enclosure, HARD drive and screen, there are also a few other internal parts rattling as a toy for children. Could someone give me a figure of ball game?

Thank you

Hello

The new parts would cost a fortune! The display is one of the expansive laptop parts.
I think you should try to get a laptop second hand or parts.
Perhaps you could find something on the sales platform very famous internet auction. Take a look here

    Hi guys

This seems very strange and it's amazing that a single software application could have a negative influence on the screen.
It happens only when the laptop connects to the internet?

But of course, maybe the program like MS Messenger has a bad influence on the graphics driver and so this problem appears.

Try to update the graphics driver and check if it helps!

Hi, I bought a new Toshiba Satellite P100-160 of Currys today.
I bought it for the primary purpose of the use of broadcast software OtsAV playing at live concerts between shows.
Any audio device I play glitches in places if I use OtsAv or Windows Media Player. It is not constant, but there's something not quite right with her.

I also noticed that the screen will dim sometimes, then clear up again without reason apparent.

  • The screen upside - down Satellite A110

I bought a Satellite A110-159 and I am very happy with it so far, but happened Friday last something weird. After coming out of hibernation, my laptopscreen was backwards. I could have pressed some keys before that happened, but if so, I so unconsiously made I do not remember. Could you please help me in this problem because it is not ideal to work on it;).

You certainly pressed accidentally a few keys that would change the position of the screen of laptop computers.

The combination of keys depends on the graphics card that is installed in the laptop.
It seems that the Satellite A110-159 has been delivered with the Intel GPU.

In this case, you should check if you can change the screen using the combination like CTRL + ALT and upward or to the LEFT or DOWN or RIGHT

Usually the display position can also be changed in the properties of the graphics card-> some where in the settings advanced

    Thank you!

It's very strange. Provider authorized services has access to the database, so what they need is the exact model name and model number to see which screen must be ordered.

Contact Toshiba service and not technical support.

Anyway, your laptop Satellite has display with following specification:

Display Type - color display TFT LCD

  • Hinges of the screen broke on Satellite L650D-102

    Hi all

I work in a computer shop doing repairs and sales. We are big fans of Toshiba laptops and very rarely problems of experience with those we sell. I see, however, that the Satellite L650D-102 seems to have a design defect with regard to the way in which the display is anchored to the bottom of the laptop plastic. I had half a dozen computers laptops that were brought back to the shop with a display of 'loose '.

After disassemble the laptop I noticed that where it screws into the bottom plastics it is really broken since the bottom plastics. I was wondering if this would be covered by warranty Toshiba or if someone else has this problem?

    See you soon,.

    Eddie

    Hello, Eddie

I m wondering really you have noticed this on Satellite L650D-102. General design of laptops and the hinges of the screen in particular should be the same or identical on the series L650/L650D.

As a result of this forum, I guess you're the first person who claims on this subject. In any case, I recommend you contact the closest service Toshiba and pick up some info on this. I hope that the guys at Toshiba will be able to give you all the necessary information.

Return to warranty. If this broken hinges are the result of some defect or Design materials failure I m pretty sure replacement will be covered by the Toshiba warranty. Of course cell must not be already dismantled by an independent service initially. This will void the warranty of Toshiba s.
Only authorized Toshiba service provider is allowed to disassemble the laptop.

If I were you I would upgrade my RAM instead or if you really want to play games with your machine then you can order this thing:

  • The size of the screen on Toshiba Satellite Pro A60?

  • A technical problem concerning the replacement of the screen on a Satellite Pro

    Hello

The original on my laptop screen is a screen with the following reference: NTL154X3 (made by Samsung). Two weeks ago, that I replaced it with a matte screen with the following PL154W01 (made by LG_Philips).

The laptop works very well since then, but the screen is roughly half as bright as it should.

Play with FN + F6 increase brightness and FN + F7 decrease. The F6 and F7 works in reverse order compared to what they use to be after replacing the screen. In addition, I have to press these buttons to change the brightness intensification or step down.

The first time I push the buttons come from the wheel of the brightness on the screen and the watch moves a bit, but brightness does not change. When I push them again the watch moves again a step upwards (or downwards) and this time the screen illuminate upwards (or downwards).

The replacement screen is not at fault. I think I need to change the inverter on my laptop because it does not provide enough voltage for the matte screen.
I searched the web for days, but it is impossible to find a reference for the inverter be used with the matte screen.

    Can someone help?

    Thank you.

To be honest, I put t know if it s a UPS or problem if you simply used and replaced by a screen is not compatible. Who knows?

But the fact is that all devices (also the FL inverter) and compatible parts can be ordered from the service provider authorized in your country.
Guys might order the parts directly from Toshiba.

Call the technicians and ask a compatible converter for this laptop. In addition, you could ask if you used a good LCD.

    Good luck

  • Half left of my screen LCD on Satellite P30 suddenly became black.

I scoured the internet for info on how to fix and I have not been successful.

From what I found, I think the 17 "display using 2 backlight. If this is the case of the point at which the black part and a part of work would be so sudden... I mean this isn't as it blends into the black... its a change of süden perfectly normal of Jet Black.

The right side of the screen is perfect, that no problem at all, on the left, perfect black Jet.

Can anyone confirm this is its likely to do this problem, otherwise what would cause only half of the screen to die?

PS Ce is not the video card, I connected to an external monitor and I get a full video out, no problem.

    Cordially Kidnest

    Jim.

It seems that your LCD has disappeared. In this case, it might be everything from a disconnection of the cable to an LCD presenting electronic malfunction.

I recommend you, if you still have warranty on your machine, visit the following site and contact a service partner chartered local for a checkup of hardware on your computer. I guess that it s definitely a related problem of the LCD, but it s do not know...

  • How to replace the screen broke on Satellite M40X-251?

    Hi guys!

This phone fell an office and the monitor is completely messed up. Nothing else seems to have been damaged, and it still works fine on an external monitor. I'm looking for a screen replacement and instructions on how to replace it.

How much would cost a Toshiba 15.4 widescreen monitor TFT of 1200 * 800 and where I could get it?

I can't find a manual explaining how to disassemble a laptop Toshiba M40X to replace the monitor. Could someone give me a link to these repair manuals or to guide me through the process?

    Thanks in advance!

Found these instructions, I think they would work for a M40X but if anyone can confirm:
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaM35X/satellite-M35X-display-1.htm

    And the resolution is 1280 * 800 not 1200 * 800, little mistake.

  • Cannot upgrade the BIOS on Satellite P30 - 145

    Hello world

just inherited a laptop P30-145, impossible to pass the bios. When I run the file, I get the message"BIOS update rom wrong format! "and then the installation program stops. How to pass? I do all right according to the Web site.

Just one thing, the original restore disc wasn't available, so I installed a standard XP and updated the necessary drivers on the Toshiba site.

    Hello

Try the 1.40 BIOS driver Toshiba page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=1236378&PF=true

The BIOS is for Satellite P30 PSP30U. It the same series as the European notebook PSP30E series.

Download the exe file and save it to the desktop. Then, create a folder and unzip the sp35v14.exe file in this new folder created.
Now go to this folder and inside that folder, you will find some files.
Read the Readme.txt file for the complete instructions for use the BIOS update.

  • Satellite Pro M - Can the screen be repaired?

The connection to the screen of my satellite pro has been damaged; It works perfectly if held at right angles with a certain pressure on the screen with one finger - otherwise it is unreadable / appears as scrolling horizontal lines.

Otherwise, the computer is very good and I'd like to get it fixed. is - it possible and where should I get it fixed?

    Hello

Of course, the screen can be repaired, but have you checked an external monitor? You may notice the same question it?

I think that it of too difficult to say which part of the screen is just defective. You can contact an authorized service provider. Technicians can help you to check your laptop. I think this would be the best option. ;)
