The set of network configuration instructions to use for Officejet?

Hello

I have an Officejet K850 and it works on a Mac 10.6.8 System.

I've never run this printer via the wireless network, but I would like to.

There are a few pages in the user manual that explain this. But I also found this link on the HP site which is much more complicated. I tried to do once before and he couldn't understand.

Does anyone know which set of instructions to follow? Someone will help me to set up.

Thank you

Jane

Your printer must be connected to a router via a cable.  Then configured to print wireless from your computer.

  • The ESXi Server network configuration

    Hello

    This is a pretty silly question for most of you, but I don't have any experience on ESXi.

    If an EXSi server has 4 installed physical network cards, this means that it can only subnets different hosts 4? they are more than 4 subnets to be hosted, one or more servers need to be purchased ESXi?

    Thank you

    Hey Roywang,

    You can have as many subnets you want as long as they are all set on your physics of switching.  For example:

    VLAN 100 - 24 10.1.1.X

    VLAN 200 - 10.1.2.X 24

    VLAN 300 - 10.1.3.X 24

    VLAN 400 - 10.1.4.X 24

    VLAN 500 - 10.1.5.X 24

    VLAN 600 - 10.1.6.X 24

    VLAN 700 - 10.1.7.X 24

    Now, with these VIRTUAL networks, you can cut your vSwitch like this upward:

    vSwitch0

    PortGroup - management - VLAN100 - 10.1.1.5/24 active VMNIC0, VMNIC1 ensures

    VMotion PortGroup - - VLAN 200 - 10.1.2.5/24 VMNIC1 active, VMNIC0 ensures

    PortGroup - VM Network - VLAN 300 - VMNIC0, VMNIC1 Active 10.1.3.5/24, active

    PortGroup - VM network WebServer - VLAn 400 - VMNIC0, VMNIC1 Active 10.1.4.5/24, Active

    PortGroup - VM Network Backup - VLAN 500 - 10.1.5.5/24 VMNIC0, Active, Active VMNIC1

    vSwitch1

    Port - iSCSI1 - unused VMNIC2 VMNIC3 Active 10.1.6.5/24 Group

    Port - iSCSI2 - 10.1.7.5/24 VMNIC3 VMNIC2 Active unused group

    What is happening is essentially in your vSwitch each port group gets a tag VLAN, then on your physical switches where the nics connect tag, what is needed, and the switch will forward the packets accordingly.  For example, the ports that vmnic0, vmnic1 plug on the physical switch you would tag for VLAN 100,200,300,400,500 like all these networks can land on each network card.  You will also need these trunks in trunk for this mode.

  • Change the adapter VMnet8 network configurations

    Hello

    I have VMWare Workstation 9 running on my Windows 7 host computer. I have 2 virtual machines: Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8.

    The server of 2012 is a configured domain controller that has DHCP and DNS services.

    Now I use the adapter VMnet8 for 2 VMs. I disabled DHCP from the adapter due to having a DHCP service on the server of 2012.

    2012 has a server IP address static of 192.168.197.3 (197 being 'net' worth in VMnet8). The server is properly configured with DNS and DHCP (router and DNS IP address is 192.168.197.2).

    When I try to connect the Windows 8 VM to the field, I get an error 'domian controller active directory cannot be contacted, etc'?

    Can I use the VMnet8 configuration by disabling the DHCP and allowing the DC to do himself?

    Hope this is clear.

    Thank you.

    Yes, disable the DHCP service provided by the VMnet8 should work fine in your situation.

    Your domain controller must be pointing to itself for DNSet.2 for the default gateway.

    Your Windows 8 VM should point to the domain controller for DNS et.2 for the default gateway.

    Double check the settings above and let me know if you still have problems.

  • Is there a book printed on how to use Thunderbird, as the "Dummies" Books series - which would be useful for us seniors?

    I am an older person who was very comfortable by using Outlook. MS took away XP, then I had to get a new computer with Windows 8.1. My service suggested Mozilla and responsible people. You (or someone) to publish a book with all the info I need to navigate through your program in the same place? (I read info printed on a page much better than on a screen of computer.) A format such as "Dummies" or "Fool" series would be great. Currently, I am looking for the instructions on your web page and I have to then write them. Your instructions are available in PDF format or something where I could just print them? A 'small Tour' print detailing what to expect from each of the headings / menu item would be useful. And knowing how Thunderbird compares - point to point in the jargon of both systems - with Outlook features would be the Holy Grail. My "Dummies" book on Win 8.1 bibliography Outlook but not Thunderbird.
    Parkinson's disease has slowed a bit my brain so I apologize for my lack of technical skills and knowledge or computer terms.
    Also, are there keyboard shortcuts for the use of bold, underline and italic in the body of my emails?
    Thank you for your patience.

    I'll try to print it as soon as I get a new printer. But at least I now have the web address. I'm trying to accumulate as much information that I can. It's a slow, flat learning curve. Through your post, I learned what FLOSS. Thanks again. I feel smarter already.

  • What is the /Scratch file and what is it used for 4.1

    First I want to thank all the people in the community of VMware for all knowledge/help/tips and tricks, these forums provide. The help you provide has been invaluable for me a novice of VMware!

    I studied for my VCP 4.1 and read a wealth of information for the review and sometimes met with the limited information about the partition /scratch. I searched everywhere for an answer or an explanation as to what this partition is for and if it is necessary, but there is nothing in the documentation for VMware 4.1 on it.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Navi

    Rookie of VMware

    Welcome to the communities.

    It is used for the dumping of vm-support and upgrades or at least upgrades will fail unless I have create a. Installation of the USB/SD does not create one because there is no local disk in support. With USB / SD install you must manually create one usually on a data store.

  • An iSCSI hardware network card can be used for ordinary IP traffic?

    If I have a hardware iSCSI HBA card, it's a NIC where ESX could unload all iSCSI handling to, this card could be used for something other than iSCSI or it will only be dedicated to iSCSI traffic?

    In other words, for example, could vMotion or VM traffic more than NIC go too? (It obviously wouldn't be a good thing to do, but I'm curious to know if it is possible).

    If you mean an HBA full offload iSCSI, then the answer is no. The HBA actually operates all the management of the TCP/IP Protocol and presents the iSCSI LUNS to the host as direct-attached storage. If you go to the QLogic website, you can find a few whitepapers that explain unloading as well as certain patterns showing the CPU load with a THAT HBA full offload compared with active TOE NIC (such as HP/Broadcom).

    I built a walk produced through demo using edge animate, in this demo I put stage the percentage, but when I see my ipad demo, the text remains its original size.

    Please help me, how the text according to my persentage of scene.

    Concerning

    If you want that two separate text with two sizes of separate text boxes, your code would look like this:

    set the originals

    var originalWinWidth = $(window) () .width;

    set the font size as original

    var originalFontSize = 20;

    var headingFontSize = 30;

    Set the ratio of change, each change of size

    var ratioOfChange = 50;

    set the font size using jquery

    SYM. $("conteneur") .css ("font size", originalFontSize);

    SYM. $("rubrique") .css ("font size", headingFontSize);

    $(window) .resize (function)

    {

    get the width and height as the window resizes

    winWidth var = $(window) () .width;

    get the width difference

    var winWidth = widthDiff - originalWinWidth;

    check if the window is larger or smaller than the original

    If (widthDiff > 0)

    {

    our window is larger than the original so to increase the font size

    var pixelsToIncrease = Math.round(widthDiff / ratioOfChange);

    calculate the new font size

    var newFontSize = originalFontSize + pixelsToIncrease;

    var newHeadingFontSize = headingFontSize + pixelsToIncrease;

    new font size Set

    SYM. $("conteneur") .css ("font size", newFontSize);

    SYM. $("rubrique") .css ("font size", newHeadingFontSize);

    }

    on the other

    {

    our window is smaller that the original so decrease the font size

    var pixelsToDecrease = Math.round (Math.abs (widthDiff) / ratioOfChange);

    calculate the new font size

    var newFontSize = originalFontSize - pixelsToDecrease;

    var newHeadingFontSize = headingFontSize - pixelsToDecrease;

    Set the new font size

    SYM. $("conteneur") .css ("font size", newFontSize);

  • Extract the expiration date of secured area to use for webapps

    Hi all

    Is it possible to extract the date of expiry of safe zone and use it to set the expiration date for webapps? I see that the expiry date of the zones can be retrieved through the e-mail section and not other places. Globals.User is out of expiry date.

    All I need is the number of days so that I can automatically update in the Webapp Set to expire in ___ days.

    The webapps unless automatically deletes itself when users are initiated out of secure areas?

    Try {{subscriptions.items [0] .expiryDate}}-items contains an array, you must specify which item you want to target.

    You must also consider the items array can contain several elements (if the currently logged-in user is subscribed to several secure areas).

    Hope this helps,

  • What is the MacintoshHD/library/server/ServerDocs/Data folder used for?

    I use the latest version of the server software OS X on a Mac Mini with a 256 GB SSD.  I keep running out of space. The MacintoshHD/library/server/ServerDocs/Data folder seems to be where the files are placed which occupy all the storage space.  This single file is close to 140 GB. He seems to have a copy of all my files into it.

    What is the folder?

    Can I move it to an external hard drive, if yes how?

    Do I have to have the folder for the server software to work?

    This is a (known) bug in the server application. The workaround, assuming that you have no need of smb shares, is to disable smb on the file share points that you enabled.

    If you have need of smb shares, I'm afraid you can be out of luck. You can remove the data, but it will (probably) come back... He did it for me.

  • Is there a function in LabVIEW that takes the last half of the data (table) which can then be used for the analysis?

    I was wondering if there was something in this direction in LabVIEW to create a shortcut for this, rather than try to hardcode it after the fact. Does anyone know this method I'm talking about? (IEC 60601-2-24 dry 50) Please let me know because I'm fighting here.

    Mark.Eckhoff wrote:

    I have to calculate the index and the length after the fact. I just hope that there may be a simpler solution.

    Well, you can reduce the complexity of the half by computing only the "index" and leave the 'length' of "subset of the table" unwired. If you wire length, the subset is the rest of the table.

    There are also "split table 1 d.

    If it's still too hard, do it once and wrap it in a sub - VI, called for example "SecondHalf1D.VI". Of course, you probably also need a logical deal with cases where the size of the array is not an even number.
