While the work on today pictures, the 18 first were exported as TIFF, now Lr for some reason any changed file extensions exported to JPG format even if my preferences are still show export in TIFF format.   THE PROBLEM

  I had all this work smoothly on my system so that I was getting pretty specific colors during the recording of images sRGB for viewing on the web. Then I had to go away for the weekend and took my MacBook pro with me. I work a little in Photoshop top, but has not changed the settings. When I got back to my office and an external display, I was surprised to find that all my images look inexplicably much more dark and grossly over-saturated seen in any web browser or in the preview. This is the case with any picture I've ever done in Photoshop. They all still seem fine within Photoshop, so.

  MY ATTEMPTS AT A SOLUTION

  So I thought that maybe something had gone wrong with my monitor profile. I immediately calibrate my external screen (a slab IPS with my EyeOne Display2 using ColorEyes). It did not help. All images in sRGB always seem very dark and very saturated. Here's an example (the left one is open in Photoshop).

  

  Just what went wrong? Why the sudden change and how I'll be back to what the RGB images to look just outside Photoshop?

  The photo in #23 looks identical in Photoshop CS4 and preview here (and in Safari when I slip into a Safari window open).

  That's what I'd expect from a jpeg to sRGB tagged.

  You could also save a version RGB desaturated and drag it in Safari and preview to see what is happening.
