  I need help.  I've been on this forum yesterday looking for answers and tried a number of things.  I'll detail what I tried and which responds, I received the computer.  Let me preface this by saying that this all started yesterday.  My computer slowed and then frozen Friday.  A friend who fixes computers because his life has come and picked up the computer and he told me that he had to fix something to do with the "boot device", apparently it was not properly start.  Reconnecting to my pc, I discovered that I could print is no longer.  That's where I start...

I went to the printer spooler properties, in the Services menu > on the Dependencies tab, "this service depends on the following system components: Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" and "following system components depend on this service: Dell Printer Status Watcher."  So in the services menu, I checked the remote procedure call and it is started.
  4. to the printer spooler properties, connection tab, the box marked "Local System account" is selected, and below "allow service to interact with desktop" is checked.  Further down on this tab, hardware profile reads 'active service '.
  5. after having tried everything I removed/uninstalled all by clicking Control Panel printer drivers > Add / Remove Programs > then remove all applications the range of HP printers.  Then, I went to the HP Web site and installed the printer drivers all over again and restarted my computer.

  Unfortunately, after all that... you guessed it... I still cannot add a printer or print at all!  I'm at my wit's end!  Help if you can, please!

  If the steps in the KB article look too intimidating and/or automated FixIt tool does not work, read the material in the CleanPrinterDrivers link below.  A single step, that you missed to uninstall your printer drivers is 'Step 4' of the Article a link below.  If I understand correctly, if you omit this step, the same driver file is used to reinstall, even if you have downloaded a new version.

  Here is my canned response:

  Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

  AntiMailware MalwareBytes
  SUPERAntiSpyware

  Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

  Cleaning of printers

  NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Instead, go to the other link and download and get and use the utility 'cleanspl' such as described here.

  
  

  A. Clean on print jobs pending

  • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
  • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

  net stop spooler
  del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* '.

  The problem is I have a HP Color LaserJet 3800n and I can print both documents and after that, the system prints never third or once the work stops.  The printer indicates received data but do not print on what he receives.  I can remove the printer and allow windows to reinstall it once again, but if I try to print three documents print the first two and the third does not.  Using Windows 7 64 bit connected via USB.  We have had this problem before and the problem was the rolls do not pick up paper but we who fixed, and the system works because we can print pages of test of the printer itself.  Now if I clear the print spooler stopping service of the coil and remove everything that is in the folder of spool and then by restarting the print service, and no paper is in the coil the system still does not print until I have the printer delete/readd.  This only happens with this printer and nothing more.

  I can't wait to hear that you have questions.  Please click here to get the proceedings related this topic (base of XP but steps will be similar).  I suspect that this specific problem is with the USB cable.  Please see the steps which can solve the problem below.  If you are still having problems try adding the universal driver through the windows.  Here is a link that will provide measures for this. Click here.

  Note: If the generic driver is added, select HP as the manufacturer, then select HP universal print PCL6 in the list of printers such as the 990 c does not work with this type of printer

  Quick steps that may fix the problem:

  1. try a new USB cable

  2 make sure the appliance supply cable course is plugged directly into a wall outlet

  Found this same problem on answers back in 2010.

  My OS is Windows Vista Ultimate 64.

  Do not have this problem in the 2 years of the life of this PC.

  Try printing and Spooler subsystem App error 0x000006ba. Error of Job Status window Interface also.

  Worked on the resolution of this problem for more than 7 days.

  The Lexmark printer is connected to the wireless router.

  PC n ° 1 with this problem is connected to a Lexmark printer by USB and to the router by cable.

  PC #2 is connected to the router via cable and can print on Lexmark without any problem.

  PC #3 and #4 PC is wireless to the router and can print on Lexmark without any problem.

• Print Spooler error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. __

  I tried - unsuccessfully - restart the print spooler on a box of XP with SP3.  I read the previous posts for this error and this box refuses to restart the service.

  Is there an easy way to fix this without reverting to a system reset?  Can I run a repair?  If so, it will fix the problem?  I tried to run a restore of the system to a previous date and who could not do anything for me either.

  When you attempt to start the Print Spooler Service, error 1068 means "the dependency service does not exist. the dependency service or group was able to start. »

  Depending on your environment and your type of printer installed, your Print Spooler Service will have other dependent services that must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If the dependent services do not work, you will see an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

  Some Lexmark printers add their own XP services and start the Print Spooler Service, lists them as dependencies and that is why these Lexmark Services must run before the print service spooler will begin.  It may be listed as the LexBce Server.

  You now or have you ever have all installed Lexmark printers?  If Yes, do you still use Lexmark printers?

  Depending on your printing environment, if you use another type of printer, you can have other Service listed tab in the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

  Use the Applet of Services XP to check the dependencies of print spooler and options.

  Click Start, run and enter in the box:

  services.msc

  Click OK to open the Services Applet.

  Locate the Print Spooler Service, right-click, choose Properties, and then look at the Dependencies tab.  Services listed there must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If they don't, you'll get an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

  You should always see the service remote procedure call (RPC) and maybe a few others depending on the type of printer that you have installed (Lexmark printers can add some dependency Services to your configuration of XP).  All dependent services must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.

  Dependent Services may vary according to the type of printer that you have installed.

  The RPC service is also required for many other things to work properly and is usually still running and the autostart value.

  If the RPC Service does not work and does not start automatically, you can have other problems, but start with the easy stuff first.

  Of the Services Applet, find the service remote procedure call (RPC) and if it does not, right-click and start it and set it to automatic.

  Then find and all the other print spooler dependency services listed in the Print Spooler Service Dependencies tab.  They will be lance automatically the next time you reboot your system (if that is your desire), set the startup type for these Services to automatic.

  When everything works as you want, restart and check your Services again to be sure that they start correctly and solve any addition
  questions.

  If the remote procedure call (RPC) service is not listed as a dependency for your Print Spooler Service, you must inform XP that the print spooler service depends on the RPC service.

  Click Start, run, and in the box type (including important space after the "equal" sign):

  dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

  Click OK to assign the RPC service for the print spooler service, and then make sure that the RPC Service is running and start your Print Spooler Service.

  If you still can not understand it, react with the items that you see the tab of the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

  Don't forget to restart and check that everything works correctly after each adjustment.

  Please note that using the above command will effectively remove all the current (and perhaps old) Print Spooler dependency assigned for the Print Spooler Service and assign it only dependent on the RPC Service.  It would be 'normal '.

  The dependence of CPP Service would be typical of most facilities, or after you have uninstalled all the time some printers (Lexmark), but your printer may have a few other dependencies.  If it still does not respond, we'll fix it!

  I just upgraded from XP to Vista Ultimate.  After the upgrade, I tried to install a printer and reveived a few errors.

  The errors that I start with the print spooler not started / restart.  After starting the spooler, I get the error "cannot open add printer operation could not be completed error (0x000006be).»  I have another vista machine which works fine so I know that is not the drivers for the printer (I can't even get there).

  If this does not work, what is the manufacturer, the brand and the model of printer that you have (and all that you had previously installed)?  What version of Vista you have (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2)?  How the printer is connected (1 LPT, USB, ethernet, wireless, network,...)?  Please report the exact error messages you've been making word - that they can help us find the cause because there are reasons a bit that these things could happen and we have to understand the situation better than to offer a more targeted solution.  For example, what is a Lexmark printer (or have you ever had a Lexmark printer)?  There is a particular problem with these printers and a fix for the problem but I don't know if this is the case here and do not want to waste your time on something that does not apply.  There are other examples, as well.  We understand the situation, the better we can help you.

  Original title: my laptop has lost all printers and windows & no longer recognizes them. Help! I can't print anything

  I use my laptop computer in a docking station.  I took it out to take for a trip and when I got home I plugged it back (as I always do).  Just before the trip, I have upgraded to Windows 7 and all my printers were working very well.  When I got home and pluged again, Windows does not recognize one of my printers.  When I try to add printers a say8ing error message "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restat the spooler or restart the machine. "I tried to restart and turn off the printer, etc.  Can someone help me?

  This may occur if the print spooler requires other services, and these services are not running. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
   
  1. in Services, right-click on print spooler and then click Properties.
  
  2. click the Dependencies tab. The first box list all system services that must work for the print spooler start. These are dependencies.
  
  3 make a note of each service, click OK, and restart each service on which the print spooler is dependent, if the service is not already started. If a service is not started, right-click, click Properties, and then make sure that the startup type is automatic.

  I have found the answer.  The default on my printer changed to a pdf converter that was part of the installation of QuickBooks to my insue.  At that time I started, it became the thunking error.

  I went into the Control Panel Printers and restore the default value for my regular printer.  This has worked for Word 2007, but not for Outlook.  So I went in QuickBooks and configure the default printer it for my printer.  Then all the others program default printer pointing to the correct printer.

  Not sure if it will work for someone else.  I never got the hotfix password to work, nor nobody responded to my request again.

  I wanted to share this with everyone.  This might work for you too.
