  Move media to another directory, drive, or simply change the name of the folder where your media. You should be able to import the files after that.

  I have tried everything that I hoped would be a good workflow while the shooting of basic, but there seems to be some problems with it.
  All the photos have been imported on a laptop running LR3.2 and copied into the new folder, LR relies previews and I can keyword images, do some in the first line of sort and post treatment on-site. Once back at the base, I wanted to import pictures into my main installation of LR by importing as a catalogue to keep all the metadata and previews.

  When I try to import the new catalog, it gives me an option to choose where to copy the "negatives" but on my windows 7 system dialog only allows me to create new location on my desk, not much use when I want to copy all the masters raw files in a folder on a different drive. Also it has no option to make the second copies of masters to a different destination (as is offered by the standard import options).

  Is this the correct behavior? If so, it is far from ideal. I worked around the limits by moving the folder of raws to where I want to in LR, but still need to back up the files manually.
  Have Adobe failed to keep this function 'import catalogue' as the new dialogue import?
  The limitation of only allowing the move to a folder in the hierarchy of the Office seems to be a simple bug to me. I think I also met this problem on some other dialogues too.

  If Hal's suggestion does not work I would inquire about permissions.  The only piece of software where I had a problem with permissions is LR, although I don't remember exactly what it was now as she was when I first moved all across this Win 7 PC.

  First of all, make sure that you don't have two accounts with the same address. What happens if one of them is an iCloud account.

  From the Mail menu bar, you select

  You have external devices like camera, phone connected to your computer?

  If so try to remove them and see if that helps.

  When I import a layered .ai file to help retain size layer that everything comes through, more small layers are fine but all the layers that are superior to the Illustrator artboard are cropped to that size. Models of layer are visible as the size they should be (size, position, anchor etc.), but they look like they would if they had masks on them to the size of the doc AE (I checked, they don't).

  This is how AE. If you ar import or PSD as Composition AE - then AE chose HAVE artboard size size of the publication. If you want to see 100% of all the layers you have imported AE, you can:
  -at AE expand this workplan

  -You can change the size of your publication you have imported EI by choosing settings of Composition/Composition

  -You can create a new composition with the appropriate size of WH and just comy and paste layers imported to this new composition
