The tables sharing the relationship models

Can I share (not copy) table between two relationship models in SQL Developer Data Modeler? Something like sharing between application systems tables in the Oracle Designer. I have a scheme of database for the reusable core of many applications and I want to have a relational model for her. And I need to use the kertnel tables in other applications (database schema). I need for example to FK between application and kernel table. How can I do?

Hello

You can use the drag - & browser in the model diagram drop target to do this. Table becomes read-only in the target model. You can use 'Synchronize the remote objects' to get the actual status of this painting "at a distance".

  • SQL Developer / Data Modeler - lost visual on the relationships between the tables

    11 GR 2 DBMS / SQL Developer 4.0.3

In SQL Developer, using the Data Modeler I lost the visuals 'lines' (one to several, etc.) which show the PK to FK relationship between different tables from one of my patterns of relationship.  I know they exist - I'm sure it's my fault--put out something that I don't have.

I looked on the web but without SOAP.  Can anyone tell me if it is a property and (as applicable) how to re - turn on the property.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry - I found it - the relationship lines were VERY clear yellow and I could barely see it.

  • The relationship "designed to" make visible in the Data Modeler?

    Hello

I was wondering about the following topic:

When I create (engineer), a table based on its entity, there is a relationship between the entity and the table.

So to speak: a relationship "carried out by".

This relationship can be demonstrated in Data Modeler?

    If so,.

-can we use them to navigate a table to the entity and vice versa

-can we maintain, in the case of design changes and changes to the execution table?

I know that the relationship is available in the xml file that stores the table (Table > generatorID), but I am unable to see / use the relationship in the Data Modeler itself.

    Kind regards

    Art

    Hi Art,

There is a section "Impact analysis" in the entity and table dialog boxes. Under the 'Mapping' node you will see mapped objects and can open the box from there.

You cannot create or modify the mappings manually for now.

  • How to set the attributes of the relationship in the logic model?

Hello, is it possible to set attributes of the relationship in the logic model (using the sql 3.1.0.683 data Modeller)?
In my case, I want to set some attributes in a M:M relationship between two tables (for example: start_date and end_date) and then these attributes of the relationship which will be included in the relational model in the form of columns of the table created for solve relations M:M.
    Thank you.

    Hello

There is no support for attributes in relationship. You should go directly with the entity of the intersection.

    I have two machines:

Once you change the resolution it looks a little bit fuzzy, but it's nice to be able to select the relationship.

  • How to establish the relationship between the tables contact and Global (entity) in Oracle Service Cloud to preconfigure data

    Hello

We strive to integrate the OPA attributes to the Cloud Service Oracle tables to store session data for the customer portal users.

We tried mapping the attributes of the OPA with relevant tables of cloud Service Oracle? Is there any installation of additional data to create to retrieve the session data for the particular user / contact?

We managed to save tha data in arrays of cloud Service for users of ananymous and also well regarding customers portal users but to preconfigure data do we need to do any additional configuration / mapping to the contact table?

Please help on the establishment of the relationship between the contact and Global (new table created in cloud Service) tables.

    Thank you

    Vivek

    Hi Vivek,

To load data from the Contact in the the OPA policy template, you must configure the widget of the OPA. For instructions, see the following articles:

    - Incorporate an interview that uses data portals in Oracle Service Cloud Customer Portal

    - Deploy and configure the sample OPA widget

    - Insert the widget to sample in a customer portal page

Obviously, you need to do the mapping in OPM as well, but even if the mapping is correct, you will not be able to load the Contact data unless the widget of the OPA is implemented.

    See you soon,.

  • Transformation of table names and a column in the logic model (CCM)

In addition to my previous question on the transformations of the relational model logical I would like to set for the names of tables like school_units to become SchoolUnit when you do: engineer to the logic model. Ditto for the columns for attributes, i. e. I would like to convert a column of class_sign to classSign.
With the help of Philip Stoyanov, I could set the mixed case to emphasize the shape of logic to the relational model. But now I can't engineer to the logic model without losing all the work accomplished in the logic model (concerning the designation of entities and attributes).

    Best regards, Robert

    Hi Robert,.

You can try to define "Incomplete modifiers" in your glossary so the name validation will not fail (against the glossary) because it is existing only don't not in the glossary of terms.

If the name is not recognised as valid then separator is changed, but setting camel case is not considered - I logged a bug about this.

I'm not aware of all, there are properties that you can set to not allow someone to change. You will need to browse around to see if the box "notes" can be locked or allow only admins edit this field.

  • Comment of tables and columns are included in the Data Modeler

    Hi all
I used Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler (Version 3.0.0.665) and created a data model for my project. I sent an email a PDF version of the data model to our systems analyst. She asked if I could re - create the data model and include table and column comments. Is this possible and if so how this work is it?

    Thank you for your comments,

    Seyed

    Seyed salvation,

I used the Data Modeler and create a report. The report included 36 .csv files

What is the purpose of this 'report' task, because 36 files csv does not sound like report to me. Watch "files > reports" feature - you can generate reports for your model. -for any model, single table or tables belonging to specific subview. The report of the complete table contains additional details, so if you need these comments, then only you can create a template and select column comments appear only. So some general information table will be also included.

  • How to change the name of "Relationship UID" attribute in the logic model?

Beginner question here, sorry if it was taken already.

In the logic model in Data Modeler, how can I change an attribute name that is used as a 'UID relationship'?

For example, I create two entities, each with a primary UID called 'id', then create a 1:1 relationship. Each entity will now have an attribute called "id1" marked as a UID of Relation, but I can't find any way to change the name of the attribute. Is there a way?

    Thank you.

    Hi GuyM,

You can check the setting in the preferences - "Data Modeler > model > logic" - the name FK attribute synchronization - clear the check box if you want to manually set the name.
