The time hack regarding when I send or receive incorrect emails

For the past few weeks the Nick of time (so received or sent) on my email is incorrect. For example, I can send an email to 13:00, but the email receiver gets watch that I sent it at 16:45. The same thing happens to the messages I receive. Hack of time of the sender is far away.  The internal clock on my PC shows the correct time. Any ideas?

Hi Mike,.

-Don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

You can synchronize the clock of your computer with a time server Internet. This means that your computer's clock is updated to match the clock on the time server, which can help ensure that your computer's clock is accurate.

Set the clock: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/set-the-clock

If the time changes when you restart, then the BIOS time is incorrect or the CMOS battery is dead. You can access the BIOS when the system is turned on. The weather is usually on the General settings area. If it does not hold after the restart, then this could indicate that the battery is dead. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. The battery is about the size of a US nickel and easily found on the motherboard. Replacements are found in many electronic, Department and hobby stores. Make sure that the system is unplugged when you remove and replace.

Alternatively, you can also run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

Microsoft security scanner: http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

  • Is it possible to set the time on a device in real time so that the time will persist when the device is not powered?

It seems that you can not set the time on a device sbRIO (9606) and have always the exact time when the card is powered after not being fed for a while.  I have a product which will be independent (not connected to a network) when it is supplied by the customer.  I would like to collect data in a datalog and would like to put a timestamp somewhere so that I can understand when these data were collected.  If I can't get an exact date/time, then the next best solution would be to set up my datalogs so that I can at least understand the exact order in which they were collected.  (I think I can understand it without much problem)    Any suggestions as to best practices?

    Hey John,

Without connected VBat time will not be preserved between periods of closure. Unfortunately for the 9605 and 9606 we have not a way to date the connector 9693 VBat.

How much sbRIOs you plan to deploy with your system?  9623 and 9626 have a compartment for the RTC. If you haven't bought your sbRIOs already you could focus on the options of the form always match.

If it is necessary to have retention time between stops, we would need to understand the extent of your application more.

I HAVE A VERY OLD DELL LAPTOP THAT WILL NOT START ALL THE TIME, AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS IT LOOKS LIKE SA WORKS VERY HARD!

It seems that two things must happen... Three if you don't have good backups (it would be the first thing * if * you have not any outside of the machine.)

    (1) the material must be tested.  By restarting and pressing the combination of keys at the right time could test the hard/readers/speed control (CTRL + ALT + D, on a dell computer before starting at startup of Windows.)  For other tests - Dell probably put on a partition or sent a CD with the machine that allows you to perform a battery of tests on the... video, audio equipment, etc.

    (2) a restoration clean install a factory should probably be made * if * hardware testing are in agreement.  You could probably clean the machine by following the steps I'll give you - but knowing no more about the problem that we are so far... If that does not better... it's perception, or something so serious, that a clean install is probably the only real 'next step '.

(And if the new facility does not solve it and analysis of material found nothing - that's the perception, or something (material) defective which is not be picked up).

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

From the information you have provided, I understand that you want to change the time settings in Windows Media Player.

I found the solution. This is a bug beetween the network operator's SIM card software and the BlackBerry device. It s already solved. I had to follow certain steps to enable and disable a specific feature of the network operator and wait a dialog box confirm my operation.

The beeps comes with the dialog box, but the apears only dialog box if you are in a specific screen of the blackberry. If you are in the home screen, it will not appear and you hear the beep.
