I bought a new 660ti for my new computer

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16883256815

When I put in and plugged the screen remained black as if one has not been connected with the 'PC' in the right corner of the screen. I took the 660ti and put in my 560ti who was from an old computer that I had before I bought 800-060 and it worked just like it did when I bought the new computer, no problem, no nothing.

People have said on different forums on how if secure startup is enabled and not inherited boot it won't work, considered most successful. But as usual with HP computers I buy, there is always something wrong with the bios and I can't find a solution anywhere.

When I fly over the right side of the screen, go to "settings - change the settings of pc - General - advanced startup - restart" and when I finally get to change the settings of the UEFI and restart again, it is just a pure black screen and nothing happens until I quit and restart it, followed by a beep code, 6 short on about 7 intervals however I could be wrong on how many times he made 6 beeps in a row. Then it starts up as usual.

I really don't want to have to take it to staples or another computer repair place, or my card back to Amazon.

    (another thing to note).

When I put the 660ti in my old computer, it doesn't have a picture, but it seemed that someone poured water everywhere inside the monitor or as a NES game that had not been blown before putting it in the console and the resolution was about 800 x 600 in the monitor. I tried to activate the onboard graphics on this subject and it bricked essentially because there is no display on it at all. but I'm not worried about it as I am my new computer.

    Thank you

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 800 computer - 060 According to the specification, this model comes with Windows 8 and has a BIOS with "Secure Boot" enabled and disabled ' Legacy Support'. You change all the parameters "UEFI", simply to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ACTIVATE the standby mode 'legacy' in the BIOS.

Please see "the computer does not start after the installation of a video (Windows 8) card" for the reason why your computer is not working with your new graphics card. First, remove all graphics cards after-sales market and return the graphics card to origin plant or use the onboard integrated graphics card to get into the BIOS. Once in the BIOS, you can change the settings as needed. Now, reinstall your new graphics card (be sure to connect the auxiliary PCIe power connector) and restart your computer... problem solved.

  • Since the update by Satellite L750 - Win7 for Win10 I lost access to the UEFI BIOS)

    Hello everyone

Since my upgrade to Windows 10 32 bit Windows 7 32 bit, I am unable to access the BIOS (UEFI).

I try to access BIOS because I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 64-bit, DVD, or USB key.

I did the setting-> security update & -> Recovery-> Advanced Startup restart now-> then I clicked on troubleshooting-> Advanced Options-> and I can not find the UEFI (BIOS) settings.

When I start my computer I lost the option "Press the F2 or F12 key" to access the BIOS.

    Thanks for your help.

    My computer: Satellite L750, PSK2YA-0L0802S

OK if you are interested in the topic you can try with a facility for testing purposes, but if there are many different issues and problems, I think that you should install the recovery original image again and use your laptop with 'presets' again.

You can enter the BIOS settings?

In General, you can try to start the installation of USB if you press F12 on startup and choose USB as a boot device. It works for you?

    Hello

I know that it isn't the best article at the post office, but there is no instance void for my computer (Satellite NB10T) series and this problem is bound to win 8
I'm stuck at the moment: I disentailed 8 victory because I want to go back to 7

    I am aware of
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2C03F80002R01.htm
The problem is that I did not mode Boot under advanced system configuration option; the only thing I can do is enable or disable secure under the Security tab, startup mode which isn't enough

I also added a supervisor password. It adds a clear keys for secure boot option, but still nothing on the Advanced tab to move to the Csm.
Clearing keys does not work too.

I tried to boot multiple linux distro and win7 on usb bootable (theses work on other computers), but no luck. Boot order usb first value of course).
    What can I do?

Edit: will put some pictures of the uefi

You posted the screenshots of the configuration of Toshiba utility.
The boot mode must be changed in the BIOS settings.

To access the BIOS of the laptop must be turned off.
Then put the unit BUTTON and press F2 to enter the BIOS.

In the BIOS, you will find the necessary options: secure boot must be disabled and the UEFI mode must be changed to MSC mode

I've never heard that there is a kind of "hard reset" for TVs. All you can do is to use the option of placing the factory settings, but it only works if you can start your TV and use some option in the settings of the TV.

  • Re: Satellite C850 and UEFI BIOS settings

    I have laptop Satellite C850 - 1 2 with Windows 8.1

When I boot, it shows a toshiba logo, not the original flag 8 Windows. It is not so much a problem, but I can't change because the parameter is blocked within the parameters of the UEFI. How can I change this?

I already tried to change through the windows in different ways, but each time it will change the UEFI!

    Help?

To be honest I don't know what to do, you mean with blocked settings, but it can be changed in the BIOS settings.
What you need is to make complete OS stop http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and after having done that, you can restart the laptop and enter the BIOS (try F12) settings and then you can change all the settings of the BIOS.

  • HP ENVY 14-1000 CTO Notebook: fact ENVY 14 t - 1000 CTO (2010) have UEFI firmware?

This model (from worms 2010) he UEFI firmware? I don't see any indication that it made, with Windows, information system, the Mode "BIOS" is "legacy". I do not see switches to BIOS legacy in BIOS emulation is set up.

But this would be the case of paranoia, that there no UEFI firmware, but I did it is legacy emulation mode continuously or something?

Confusingly, the Web site offers an enigmatic named "HP update BIOS UEFI." Just an update (which I was not able to install) it changes from one thing to another?

    It was an interesting experience.

He was able to start the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)," How about that?

So, the answer is that it can start binary EFI, but there must be another reason that my operating system is not booting in this way.

  • R7000, problems with wireless connection after the last firmware update 1.0.6

I recently updated to the latest firmware available for the R7000...

The upgrade went well and my Wired PC all connected without any problem, but several of my wireless devices were unable to connect to the WiFi. I have my cell phone Wifi (Android phone) kept gives me an error of authentication, but was able to connect to the network comments... weird...

I started firmware 1.0.4 and everything worked well again... it seems that the new firmware is buggy.

The Firmware versions listed above are only for the first three issues, to save typing, but you get the version that I use...

    Nick

    Hello

I would like to let you know, I've improved in 1.0.6 last night and everything worked. The difference is this time I had to reset my router to the factory settings using the reset hidden at the back button and hold the button for about 7-10 seconds. This resets the router to the factory settings. I then had to re-enter all my IP address reservations and the word block list, but all my wireless devices were able to connect. The last time I did the upgrade, I just restarted the router, and I had read that I had to do a factory reset to operate correctly.

It would have been nice for Netgear arrive at a way to extract Information form my version last-place back... it would have saved me a lot of time...

    Good luck

  • I have updated to the new firmware, cannot connect to WVC54GC

    Hello

I update my WVC54GC (V1.1) with the latest firmware from the site (ver 1.26), when the update is complete, blue Led restart, I stoked market once again, but I can't connect to the camera, I have reset, same problem, the led flashes blue awhile then drove on continious, I try to connect with the software (search for camera) and with the browser to the default IP address : 192.168.1.115, nothing...

Maybe something wrong during the download of the firmware.

How can I go back to the old firmware? is that their another method for hard reset it (other then on the reset button on the side)

Thank you to for your advice.

I solve this problem (after reset the cam for 30 seconds), all settings became as default, including the IP address are set to: 192.168.1.115

I connect to my PC directly via the cable to the cam, so I changed the configuration of the network card in my PC to:

    IP: 192.168.1.5

    Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.115 (this is the IP of the Cam)

By this solution, I was connected directly to the cam, and I've reconfigured the settings; WiFi, new Ip,... then when I restarded the Cam; all future returned and the cam worked as before (I have not find otherwise with the latest firmware date V1.26 Feb 2008, I had before V1.21 date 2006).

The funniest thing I bought the cable connection (reverse connection) Ethernet, and when I finished the configuration of the cam, I tried the standard cable (straight): this work is too, so you can use the standard Cam ethernet cable.

  • Could not save the WRT54G Router settings!

Recently, I have reset the Linksys WRT54G Router because I can't get the page with a note to "CONTINUE", I used to have. I can also save the new setting. What comes out is a blank page. Pls help me. Thank you.

This problem is usually caused by suboptimal communication between the computer and the router. The most common cause for this is a computer software firewall problem, but there are also several other possible causes:

To view web pages of the router (and to solve problems "Cannot save settings"):

You don't need an Internet connection. 'web Pages' of the router are integrated into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
    JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is connected to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily disable your firewall software.

Point your browser to 192.168.1.1, and then connect to your router. Your username must be left blank. Your password is "admin" (without the quotes), unless you changed it.

If you use Zone Alarm, do a right-click on the ZA icon in the taskbar (bottom right of screen) then click on "Shutdown ZoneAlarm" and see if that solves your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: open the control center ZAISS, go to privacy, then temporarily disable Ad Blocking and Cookie Control and see if it solves your problem.

Some Zone Alarm users reported that the addition of 192.168.1.1 to their address list "of trust" solved the problem. This trick can also work with other firewalls.

If you use Noton Internet Security with the add-on Pack, don't forget to disable the blocker and ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall all Norton Add-on Pack.

If you can not get anything to 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not the address of the router. Go to 'Start' > all programs > Accessories > command prompt.
A black DOS window will appear. Type "ipconfig" (with no quotes), and press the Enter key. Look at the "default gateway". It is 192.168.1.1? Point your browser to the 'default gateway', can connect you to your router.

If the above fails, unplug your modem router, then try again. If it solves your problem, then you probably a "modem-router" rather than a regular modem. A report with this problem and also specify the brand and exact model of your modem (not router) number.

If all above fails them, turn off your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait a minute, then lights up, then try again.

If all the above tips fail, then reset the default router: power down the router and unplug all the wires. Wait a minute. Switch on the router, let it fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset for 30 seconds button, then release the button and allow the router to reset and restart (2-3 minutes). Turn off the router. Wait a minute. To connect to a computer, cable, a router's LAN port. Initialize the system. It should work.

If you still have problems, then you must download and install (or reinstall) the latest firmware for your router. After the update of the firmware, you must reset the default router, and then configure the router again from scratch. If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

So we can't change the Admin password.

  • the 1710n Firmware update

Whenever I try to access the page to printer settings on the web page that is shipped to the printer firmware level he asks me user name and password.  I've tried everything - I think that the username is "admin" (w/o") every password I tried in vain.  Password, password, vacuum, etc. failed.  Support on the web is non-existent and the so-called manual is a joke.  Why Dell cannot cover everything about the product they sell?

I really need help with this as the printer is upward and I think that this upgrade would be useful.
