The upgrade from 2.5 to 2.6

Is there a guide for the upgrade of App volume 2.5 to 2.6?

I don't see any information on the upgrade in the user guide.  I'm assuming that you upgrade Volumes App Manager, then the Agents.  Is it a place to upgrade or uninstall you 2.5 and then install 2.6.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you

Hersey

Hey

You must first uninstall Manager, then reinstall the Manager without overwriting the database. Make sure that no user is registered in all by doing this, because the appstacks and accessible volume in writing will be detached without asking (and users don't like it).

After that just change the VDI by uninstall/reboot and install the new version of the agent. After that your good to go.

The Appvolumes upgrade process is very easy and straighforward. The only thing to keep in mind is NOT to overwrite the existing database.

  • The upgrade from 11g to 12 c

    Hello

We intend to improve our databases of 11g (11.2.0.3.11) to 12 c (12.1.0.2). We would like to know what are the steps that we need to upgrade the position.

    (1) all 11 g AWs automatically updated to 12 c? or do we rebuild US 11g AWs on 12 c after the upgrade? (We had to rebuild AWs after upgrading to 10g and 11g)

    (2) are there accessories performance in 12 c, which will apply to only AWS built on top of the 12 c?

    (3) we have an AW 10 g 11 g-based. Is it still compatible with 12 c AW?

    Thank you

    Dietsch.

    Hi dietsch,

    My answers are online.

    (1) all 11 g AWs automatically updated to 12 c? or do we rebuild US 11g AWs on 12 c after the upgrade? (We had to rebuild AWs after upgrading to 10g and 11g)

The upgrade from 11g to 12 c requires no AWs to rebuild.

    (2) are there accessories performance in 12 c, which will apply to only AWS built on top of the 12 c?

He might have a few new optimizations that have been incorporated into the version of 12 c of the AW you will not have access to until you rebuild the AW, but that does not prevent you from using the 11g version of the AW of 12 c.

    (3) we have an AW 10 g 11 g-based. Is it still compatible with 12 c AW?

Yes, 12 c is backward compatible with an AW 10 g.

  • The upgrade from VMware Workstation 12: can I install above?

So I just bought a license to upgrade to workstation 12. Now, I noticed that it is (finally) 64-bit native. However, 11 Workstation is native 32-bit. Can I just install VMware Workstation 12 top like I did the upgrade from 10 to 11? Because the 10 and 11 were native 32-bit.

    The question is moot.
Upgrade has always meant uninstall the old version, install the new version.
If you do it yourself, you have more control, but the results will be the same.

The safest option is: uninstall manually - reboot - check registry for services that have not been removed - if necessary, repair registry - restarts again and then install the new version right after the restart.

    Hey @Shivam123,

I understand that you are looking to upgrade your keyboard to a backlit keyboard.

This is HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. You will see that it says full size backlit 3 paint coat Island-keyboard with black pad with LED red is listed because some models (Pavilion 15 or 17 Pavilion) came up with this type of keyboard.

When I look at the HP PartSurfer's using your specific model number, there is no option to use the layer full-size backlit 3 paint Island-keyboard with black pad with LED red.

    Hello

What is the edition of Windows Vista installed on the computer?
Make sure that you upgrade to the correct version, some versions of Windows cannot be upgraded with the installation disc you are trying to use. For example, you cannot upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version, or upgrade a higher edition of Windows like Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, to a lower edition, such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. If this is the case, you will need to use the custom during installation option.
Before you attempt to upgrade, please run the Windows 7 upgrade Advisor:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor
Also, check if your computer is compatible for Windows 7, using the Compatibility Center:

  • The upgrade from Vista to Windows 7: How can I make sure that I keep Microsoft Office

A few months back I took advantage of this offer to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 for a discounted price. After that I downloaded the upgrade file, Upgrade Advisor told me that because I'm using Vista business and I was upgrade 7, that my computer would probably be home must pass through with a 'clean install', thus wiping my hard drive.

That's fine with me, I could just move my documents and Favorites on an external hard drive. But I'm afraid that the upgrade will be wipe my Microsoft Office programs.

I bought this computer a few years ago. I don't even know if I bought the program with office bundled with it, or if I bought it separately (and probably the discs are somewhere in storage).

How can I make this update without losing Microsoft Office? Is it possible to confirm if my word has come with my computer or if I installed it separately. If it came with it, and I lose it, certainly there must be a free way for me to recover. Right?

Any other advice for someone planning on the upgrade?

    Thank you!

You're the one who knows if you installed Office.

Office (Word, etc.) comes for free with Windows. you have to buy.

If Office is preinstalled, it was a test.

A clean installation will wipe everything.

    You cannot transfer programs.

It needs to be reinstalled from the original media.

My laptop with W7pro was debited with the message "getting setup files" now at 18hrs.  Is there a download method alternative other than the offer of upgrade/updates?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

Alternatively, you can upgrade your current PC to Windows 10 by going to the Windows 10 software download page to download the tool of creation of media. The media authoring tool can be used to create a USB or DVD media to upgrade your current PC to Windows 10 or install Windows 10 on another PC.

Follow the instructions on the download page of Windows 10 software: http://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

    Note:

When upgrading to Windows 10 using media, you must run setup.exe from in your version of Windows 7 or Windows 8 and authentic. If you want to boot from media, you must have upgraded to Windows 10 previously. Boot 10 Windows media directly without upgrading to Windows 10 previously is not supported and will have problems with activation.
