• WMM6 do not play any video file

  I'm trying to burn a DVD with a slideshow of 11 minutes and 5 title slides.  The original slideshow is a .mov format.  FormatFactory ver3 to convert to wmv.  When the 11 min wmv file is imported into Windows Movie Maker 6, only 50 seconds to play.  The timer/counter shows he is still streaming, but the Visual remains frozen and the audio stops.  This is true even for a dvd burned from the file.  The burned DVD will load and play, but video and audio that freeze the counter continues.  The wmv file plays completely using windows media player, but I need to burn DVDs for this file.   This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

  Step 1

  The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

  Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

  While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

  Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

  After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

• In Windows 8, an error prevents the slideshow to play as screensaver, also error when playing YouTube videos and no sound on videos

  Everything was working fine a week ago and I never changed anything, but my screen of sleep (Windows Live Photo Gallery), stopped working and I got this error message.  As it happened, when I try to play videos YouTube I get an error message and it tells me to try again later.  Videos in other formats will play, but there is no sound on any of them although when I run the maintenance program it says there is no problem with the sound.  I don't know which is the case because I tried some fixes, I found on the internet and the screensaver CAME and returning for a day, but then stopped working again the next day.

  You can run the SFC tool and check if that helps. SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary. Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows.

  See the following steps to perform a scan SFC:

  (a) press the Windows key + X, select the prompt (Admin) to bring up the elevated command prompt.

  (b) in the command prompt, type the following command: sfc/scannow then press ENTER.

  (c) after the scan, restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

  I have my Xbox connected to my Win 7 machine extender.

  For some reason any Xbox can't play all files on the media center extender - only images. Music files, but remains at 0:00. Neither TV or recorded TV works. He simply says there are problems of codec and I have to restart the Media center or PC. It does not help.

  If the problem is new, you can try a system restore: System Restore: frequently asked questions

  If the files are on an external drive, or a network location, try to copy one of the files to the appropriate windows library (music or video) and check if you can play the file on the Extender.

  Also, try to delete the folder location of the library Windows and one location in Media Center. After having been removed, close Media Center and re-add-the then test once more.

  I have a new dv41120us. I use media monkey as my Media Player. During playback of songs, it will start stuttering and cracking in the music on all the 5 min.   I had this problem on my new dv9927 (with external speakers or headphones).  Tried to update the drivers and all.  Then someone suggested to turn off the Wi - Fi adapter.  Who did it, and once more, the sound was pure.  It's a BroadCom adapter and I thought it was faulty, but since the fix for the problem, they published a pilot day and now its pure with a Wi - Fi on or off.

• Computer hangs when playing any game

  My computer has recently been strange, I made sure there is no virus, but for some reason, the only remaining problem my computer is facing now is that any game I play, one of them freezes after 10 minutes - 3 hours.
