ThinInstaller "not applicable to your system of packages were found.

Downloaded and configured Retriever 5.0.5 with updates for Thinkpad X 1 carbon (A 20, 7) for Windows 7, but trying to get packages with ThinInstaller Retriever 5.0.5 Update 1.2 there isn't "not applicable to your system of packages were found"

Let me say first of all... We have several other Thinkpad models, where it works very well and packets is set to 'active '.

Tried:

Remove all updates

Delete database.xml and database.vsd and konfigure retriever.

Repository to copy to the local computer

Tried other Server Update Retriever

Reinstalled update Retriever

Do the new repository of hole

And nothing wont get updates for this model.

Local execution ThinInstaller logfile must put long, here!

I had the same problem with our new T440 models. I updated thininstaller to the latest version 1.2.0010 and then I could see all of the updates that I had downloaded with TVUR.

  • KB971029 is offered, but receive error message 'not applicable for this system.

I had some freezes during the game Fallout3, so I got out and checked the update of Windows, because it is Tuesday, and I thought maybe it was attempts to update that was the problem. While you wait for the update to initialize, I went to the event viewer to see if some other glitch was responsible, and I saw @40 instances of this warning message:

KB971029 is not applicable to this system.

I stopped the update and rebooted to get some info, and it still has this update queued for installation. Can I ignore this as I did with the outdated ATI driver update which was on every list updated for many months?

If it is so upsetting to you, a clean install will fix everything, Tom. Post in this thread and follow these instructions, see the ANSWER (to the letter and in the order!) to restore your computer to a State safe & functional.

If it was my computer, I don't think I would just because an option, no security-related update wouldn't install... especially when all the security critical updates have been setup very well.

  • "FX Remix" is not available on your system

  • Fix installation problem: "the update does not apply to your system.

    Greetings and thanks for reading.

Currently, I am trying to fix a problem of high performance mouse. During the game, the mouse staggers moving (or 'looking', through the mouse) left or right . I tried two different mouse and the problem persists. The mice and their software, both work fine when connected to an XP system.

By raising the solution, I found this support page that seems to match symptoms more than all other pages (with the solutions, I have already tried) I found: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/932653/en-us?p=1

The page suggests that a service pack must be installed (already done) and otherwise, to try a fix .

I got the patch in question, but when trying to apply the patch I am presented with an error message:

"The update does not apply to your system."

I understand that this question would happen if I had chosen the bits bad operating system (I chose x 86 for my 32-bit system, rather than the x 64 bit), but I chose the right bit system.

I wonder how do I overcome this problem during the installation of the hotfix.

I want to emphasize: I updated all drivers for the system (I had to shell out money for a driver update program because you are looking for that many drivers manually is virtually impossible), including the specific software for the mouse, the firmware of the mouse... None of them solved the problem. This fix may be my only remaining option to fix this mouse and I am unable to continue without help.

    Kind regards
    Luke

    mousesupport12345,
Please post with the information requested here: what to post in the Windows Update forum

Explain when you experience the problem.  It is only in the games?  If so, is it all games or only some of them?

Clean boot your PC then test the mouse and see if the problem persists.

  • Error for KB974674 "update is not applicable to your computer"

    Actual title: KB974674 installation problems

I tried to install KB974674 on my new HP laptop under Windows 7 Home Premium to allow me to back up data from my old XP PC but got the message that the update is not applicable to your computer. Unlike others with this problem, the data are English to English. No reason for the message and how I can make my backup?

    Hello

-What is the exact error that you receive when trying to install updates?
-You are aware of any changes made on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: I suggest trying to install the patch and also to try the steps mentioned in step 2 in the " WORKAROUND " section from the link mentioned below to check if the number perissts.
Restore description of the backup of Windows NT to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    Method 2: Clean Boot Mode
I suggest to keep the computer in clean boot mode and try to install the updates then check if the problem persists.
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see the link to start to set up the computer in normal clean startup mode.
