I can't install the Intel generic driver as a .exe, but I can choose the 'Disc' option to provide the path to the .inf. file unfortunately, this does not solve the problem. I figured well initially (reading other complaints) that the problem might have something to do with the Lenovo driver doesn't support OpenGL, but I don't know much, and I am unable to change the driver in any case.

  This problem persisted on multiple reformat and reinstallation of Windows 7 on this laptop. If anyone can lead me to a solution, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  So nevermind, problem solved. I removed my drivers, then had Windows Update automatically. For some reason, it worked this time, even though I had been struggling for months to understand this.

  Hi guys,.

  I am interested in the development of 3D models and animation using Maya as well as delve into the design of games using Unity 3D. I already had licenses for the two programs installed on my T420.

  However, Maya tells me that my graphical output is not sufficient to run some things. So I did some digging on the Internet and learned that the T420 lacks a slot for graphics card and only uses the GPU chip on the motherboard.

  It is a problem common in many users.
