ThinkPad Yoga 15 Intel wireless AC 7265

I searched the forums and other sources to fix my wifi problems (verification of drivers, changing the adapter setttings etc.) without success. Other devices in the same position and the same access point get positive signals (quality 75% +) and connect with a flow rate high (5 GHz N or AC). Yoga 15 signal is poor (quality 25% or more) and does not connect. Suspect it will a warranty return or even a refund.

I noticed are mostly forum entries about the 7260 wifi card so just wanted to check if anyone had overcome similar problems with the 7265?

Thanks in advance.

History: I just bought a laptop / Tablet Dell Inspiron 7347 (exchanged for another unit, see below).   Problems to maintain a strong connection and when connected, it is very slow.   When it is connected to the wireless router, it maintains a (slow) connection for 3-5 minutes and then craps out (restrict the connection with the yellow "!" on the WiFi in the taskbar).  He then returned to the top of 1 3 minutes later.  It's a coherent continuous cycle.  I tried to reset the default router with no luck.

All the other devices on this router (office, phone, IPad) all hold the connection without problem at the same time, this device is not.

Notable: Before I bought this tablet/laptop I bought an Acer Aspire tablet / laptop which had exactly the same problem on my network.  I returned the unit for other reasons (quality of construction etc.), but he had the same OS (Win 8.1).  I don't know if she had the same network adapter.

What I tried to try: tried to update the drivers for the Intel card using the Intel drivers update (adapter drivers for Win 8.1 and Intel PROset wireless), but he kept time during download because... THE NETWORK IS NOT STABLE! (ugh!)

FIXED!   Check it out guys.   I'm bothering with deactivation of all the resources of the card network, add-ins etc in the hope of this narrowing... including Bluetooth.   I have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse for the comfort sculpt ([View:www.microsoft.com/.../sculpt-comfort-mouse:550:0])

I turned off and BOOM... everything was fine.   Also, I noticed when it was powered up, the speedtest would plunge drastically when I actually moved the mouse during the test.   See below for the result of the test with the mouse.   I can't post a with the mouse on because the test wouldn't even with it on.

Hmmmm... so it turns out that it could be a problem with a product from Ms... go figure.

  • ThinkPad Yoga wakes up on his own after going to sleep cover blame if the wifi is enabled

Recently, I noticed that my Thinkpad Yoga (20CD00B1US) guard wake up itself.

Happens if the lid is kept open and I used the power button / stop for sleep or if I just close the lid. As soon as I do that, I see red LED comes on and off slowly so I know he's asleep. However within 5 minutes or less, I see that the red LED on the top of the 'I' on continuously.

    If I powercfg - devicequery wake_armed, I get

    Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

It's really weird. I have wireless WPA2 (PSK) network, and I am confident that other devices are not so smart to send all the WOL packets (or whatever it is called for the wireless). I also have the AMT and other stuff turned off in the BIOS. Smart Connect Intel's Remote Wake on OFF, keep fresh data is ISOLATED as well. The problem goes away if I turn (turn off wifi) airplane mode before you send the PC to sleep.

Anyone who undergoes a similar behavior and what can I do to avoid waking up without flipping switch wifi? It is strange that the lid is to blame, while the problem is somehow related to the wireless adapter.

P.S., the installed BIOS version is 1.05 (not the last 1.06). All critical updates are installed.

You can check the properties of the WNIC in Device Manager to see if allow this device to wake the computer under power management is enabled. If so, deselect the option to see if your problem is resolved.

    Kind regards.

  • ThinkPad Yoga 14 (20FY) - can not auto-rotation, Missing in Action Center - WIndows 10

I just did a clean install of Windows on my Thinkpad Yoga 14 10. I tried to install all the drivers that I could. The only thing missing for the laptop, it's that I can't auto-rotation in tablet mode. Auto-rotation setting is missing from the center of the action and enter the display settings is not an option to allow auto-rotation. I also tried enabling the sensor, the sensor monitoring service and Service of sensor data with no luck. What are the conditions to get this working?

    Thank you!

I finally got it to work. After some intense searching, I found the driver that I had to install. It ends up being the Intel integrated sensor Solution. Installation of the package has work as well as the addition of a "sensors" section in device with drivers HID sensor Manager.

It's weird that the driver does not show in the ThinkPad Yoga 14 drivers page.

  • ThinkPad Yoga 14 upgrade to SSD

    Hello

I just bought the Thinkpad Yoga 14 with i5/8 GB DDR3/1 TB Hybrid drive

I also bought a processor Intel 240 GB SDD upgrade to.

I tried to clone the disk SSD, but it gives just a blank screen or select jumps back to the boot of the screen when start to boot.

I also tried to boot from a USB stick with Windows 8 on it, then install it on the SSD, but the same thing happens when you try to boot from USB (white screen or jumps back to the boot selection screen.

I tried to turn off Secure Boot, boot legacy mode, boot order, Windows load mode turn off/on... nothing works.

Technical hotline of Lenovo does not support upgrades.

Please, any help would be great.

Hello, I did the SSD upgrade last night and everything works so much better! I'm still not sure about the ram if its extensible or not.

Here are the steps I took to swap the drive hybrid SSD HARD drive:

    (1) bought SanDisk Ultra II 480 GB Solid State Drive - $139.00

    (2) purchased Insignia 3.0 Portable Hard Disk Drive Enclosure - $29.00

The case comes with the cable, you must clone the disks and then you can use your old HDD as a disk after having done an image backup and system if you want to, otherwise you have to buy the enclosure but will cable. I found the cost of the cable start around $10 and go on a $29, so I just went with the box. You can find quite different price elsewhere, that's just what I found locally.

    (3) make a backup of your entire system to an external drive, a system image backup and image of the system CD drive just in case.

    (4) download cloning software. I went with the free Sandisk recommended software - EZ GIG IV

    (5) Connect and clone old HDD to your Instructions SDD news will be with your new drive or the software.

    (6) once the clone is complete, unplug your internal battery in the BIOS. Instructions for this can be found in thinkpad manual.

    7) turn the power off and remove the laptop cover. Instructions for this are also in the thinkpad manual.

    (8) remove the old HARD drive. Thinkpad manual instructions

    (9) install the new SSD. Follow the instructions in the manual of Thinkpad and Instructions supplied with SSD

    (10) closing the case back up, put the screws back in and power on.

He had a black screen for a while when I turned it on and while I studied what had not worked, that I thought it was normal and literally as I was reading all came and was immediately noticeable how fast he was. I ran the Bios Update tool on the lenovo support area but I didn't have to change anything in the bios and everything works great. I did not remove the 16 GB card as Ive read that some people have. I'm still not sure if this makes a difference or not. The event viewer shows no defects, and it shows as active / online and running.

I'm always interested to find if I can pass the ram from 8 to 16 GB. If anyone knows...

Also, I've upgraded to Windows 10 the day I bought the machine, so I don't know if that has nothing to do with the swap go smoother.

  • X 220 with thinkpad b/g/n wireless (1 x 1 bgn) x 1 bgn) wifi adapter

    Hello

It seems that there are a lot of complaints around the Wifi adapter thinkpad b/g/n wireless (1 x 1 bgn). I really want to know how worse it is compared to Intel 6205 (not to mention 6300 - it really is a beast, people say).

Someone can let me know if fresh Lenovo as much for an upgrade like this (1 x 1 for intel 6205 thinkpad) and is it interesting?

    Thank you very much!

When you buy the 220 X of the U.S. online store the upgrade of 1 x 1 bgn 6205 was only about $ 15.

It is worth the upgrade of 1 x 1 to the Intel 6205 (the 6300 not so much). Especially if:

    1. your wireless hub is not a powerful antenna.
    2. a lot of people use the same 2.4 ghz band width.
3 and you can live with 150 Mbps (usually around 75 MB/s are more frequent) transfer speed.

  • TVSU not showing the latest drivers for Thinkpad Yoga or update to the latest version of the software

    I use Windows 8.1 x 64 with a Thinkpad Yoga

I have TVSU (software update for ThinkVantage) version 5.03.0010 which it updated itself from a previous version.

However, on the support page for the Thinkpad Yoga:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/au/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-series-laptops/ThinkPad-...

The latest version of TVSU is indicated as 5.06.0020

The current version of TVSU I use is not updated my Intel graphics to the most recent driver has featured on the above Web site (the latest version on the site is 10.18.10.3855 10/17/2014 so that TVSU mine updated only 10.18.10.3383 an older version that is not available on the Web site).

I prefer to do everything through automated updates and I ran into errors of manual update. No idea why this is happening and what I can do about it?

It's normal.  All pilots must go through quality certification before appearing on SU. In general, a period of 2 months from the version posted on the support page.

The absolute latest version would be on www.intel.com. The support site has the absolute latest version.

  • Can I use Intel Wireless Display - Netgear PTV1000 on Satellite U400-157

I want to use the NETGEAR PTV 1000 wireless display device. The hammer on the Net says I should be able to use it if I change the operating system to Windows 7. I see that I need http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031059.htm Intel Wireless Display to use.

The Intel Wireless WifI Link 5100 wireless on the Satellite U400-157 is. Seems that it is not one that is required to run the PTV 1000? So an operating system for Win 7 can not allow me to use the PTV 1000?

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere but I can't find it if it has.

I have a Qosmio F750-Q10 laptop and have recently bought a Toshiba LED Smart TV, which includes the Intel Wireless Display.

I wonder if my laptop is able to use this piece of software that I tried to download the software from the Intel Web site and tried to install one.

Can someone shed light on this for me please?

Intel is the leading company behind this feature and they have a very nice document describing the necessary components and software to be able to implement the WiDi.

    3. I installed inSSIDer and I'm the only broadcast network on the 5 GHz bandwitdth (so there is absolutely no interference whatsoever)

I wanted to know if the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN adapter would fit that is a right with the 3965 swap, as it says it's connection is Mini PCIe card * and I have no idea if it would fit?

    Hello

Yes, she should go, because the W-LAN-mini-card slot is a PCI-Express, so you'll just have to swap the cards. But be careful with the antenna connections, if you bend them too so they break very quickly and then there is NO WAY back and you will pay for the exchange of
the whole cover, where are the antennas of screen.

Best is to contact a local service partner if they exchanged, you don t therefore the risk for the guarantee void if you do something 'not very good' on your machine. :)

    Welcome them
