ThinkPad Yoga wakes up on his own after going to sleep cover blame if the wifi is enabled

Recently, I noticed that my Thinkpad Yoga (20CD00B1US) guard wake up itself.

powercfg-lastwake returns

Description: ACPI lid
Manufacturer: (Standard system thing)

Happens if the lid is kept open and I used the power button / stop for sleep or if I just close the lid. As soon as I do that, I see red LED comes on and off slowly so I know he's asleep. However within 5 minutes or less, I see that the red LED on the top of the 'I' on continuously.

If I powercfg - devicequery wake_armed, I get

Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

It's really weird. I have wireless WPA2 (PSK) network, and I am confident that other devices are not so smart to send all the WOL packets (or whatever it is called for the wireless). I also have the AMT and other stuff turned off in the BIOS. Smart Connect Intel's Remote Wake on OFF, keep fresh data is ISOLATED as well. The problem goes away if I turn (turn off wifi) airplane mode before you send the PC to sleep.

Anyone who undergoes a similar behavior and what can I do to avoid waking up without flipping switch wifi? It is strange that the lid is to blame, while the problem is somehow related to the wireless adapter.

P.S., the installed BIOS version is 1.05 (not the last 1.06). All critical updates are installed.

You can check the properties of the WNIC in Device Manager to see if allow this device to wake the computer under power management is enabled. If so, deselect the option to see if your problem is resolved.

Kind regards.

Get a backup full system, like - especially if you use a Mac Pro with 10.6.8 - then your material is more old enough to be at fault.

Once you have a full backup and up-to-date...  More information is needed:

What is the freezing of the entire or just computer screen background image?

Start in Safe Mode and stop and restart normally and see if that clears the problem.

If you have the anti-virus or anti-malware installed or any tool that claim to clean, optimize or protect, delete all those which, according to the instructions from the suppliers of package.

Open Console.app from Applications > utilities and look for repeat blocks of diagnostic messages.   Some diagnostics will look alarming, but they are normal and expected.   Looking for blocks that are repeated quickly.   Post an article - usually five or ten lines at most - of any repetition of blocks.   Please do not share more than one or two sections and lines not more than a hundred post or so and please do not post long blocks of repeat messages.

Have you updated XP SP2 or SP3? I m wondering that you only use the SP1 and you need to update. SP2 or later is required for some pilot applications and software.

And where did you downloaded the Atheros driver? You must use the driver from the Web from Toshiba site. The portal of WLAN, you can find the latest drivers:

  • New place doesn't wake up after going to sleep

I'm frustrated with my new coming 11 Pro, because 9 times out of 10, each time that I put it to go to the mode 'sleep', or he falls asleep, he wakes up not again. It seems to go to sleep very well and I push the button once to wake him up and vibrates it immediately for half a second. But then it never wakes or turn on screen for several minutes. I try the power button again to longer and eventually it starts and all my programs are closed and the computer restarted unexpectedly. What could be the cause of the computer to not again wake up after sleeping? It happens that my keyboard is connected or not, but if he plays well, then pressing the button start he wakes up. (It is rare that he wakes up actually sleep).

    Hi rpseekell,

I'll suggest that you ask questions out of 11 in the forum of mobile devices.

    Good luck!

  • After going into sleep mode after automatic update of Windows 7, Pavilion p6210y PC won't sleep

In two weeks, after an update of HP launched automatically, my monitor is not recognized - I tried to restart my PC via the power button, but the action brought everything back without interruption to the place.  Finally I made the necessary update HP closed down and all was back to normal.  Last night I made a full stop and a Windows 7 launched updates (do not turn off your computer, etc..).  This morning when I powered back upward, I got messages on the windows during Setup, etc, then everything returned normally.  I worked for a few hours and left the machine - it entered into mode 'sleep' and now I can't get out of fashion "Eve".  If I power cycle the monitor, I can messages same "cannot detect.  If I try to shut down the PC via the power button, the light is orange/sleep, I hear a humming, then seeing if off, then back to orange/snoring, reverse, etc..  Keeps the bike like this.  I'm afraid that question a couple of weeks may have been a sign of early warning of a problem of h/w, but am not sure.  Can anyone help?  I am not very savvy h/w... and hope that it is something more simple than that.  The PC is 2.5 years.

Your need to deactivate "standby" as soon as POSSIBLE to determine what is happening. You have 2 numbers because your motherboard is the infamous M2N78 - LA.

  • My internet connection is lost at home after a few minutes. I re - turn on the wifi disabled, ten and it works again for a few minutes and then repeats. It works fine everywhere else?

Relatively new MacBook OSX El Cap 11.4

My internet connection is lost at home after a few minutes. I stop the wifi, then turn it back on and it works again for a few minutes and then repeats. It works fine everywhere else?

Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.

Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.

Some third party routers have advanced that you may need to change the settings:

The encryption algorithm must be AES.

The group key interval must be 3200.

I can't give you specific instructions on how to change these settings, because all routers are different. Refer to the documentation for the provider.
