Ticklish touchpad on spectrum 13D-3000

The touchpad on my HP spectrum 13D-3000 is driving me crazy because the cursor keeps jumping all over the screen while I type.

I had the computer for a few months and have certainly had the chance to adapt to it.  I turned towards the top smart sense all the way.  I reduced the size of the palpable area on the touch pad.  I disabled the touchpad button click function.  Despite all this, the slider still jumps around and me mess up constantly.

Is anyway to fix this?  I'm ready to buy a Samsung Ativ book 9 + and mix this spectrum.  It's a shame because I generally like the computer other than the touchpad, but I type so that it is just intolerable.

Problem solved!

Here is how to activate the checkbox "restrict wiretapping to the area" which was removed from the control of HP area.  It is a critical option for your visit by clicking unwanted as you type.  If you listen to active, click on your touchpad is part probably tapping of Palms clicks, any height, you set the other parameters.

Stock options

Now, I'll show you how to add the option checkbox "restrict wiretapping to the area.

I am not responsible if you follow these instructions and damage your computer.  I have a HP spectrum 13D-3000 with the latest HP touchpad driver: 17.0.5.18

Open your registry database: button windows + r and type regedit

Group of Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Synaptics/SynTPCtl/controls/AContactFilter/dialogue/activate EdgeTap

Replace the value of visibility 0 make visible the checkbox "restrict listening to the area".

Open the HP control area in your control panel, and then select the options Smart Sense.   You should now see the checkbox "restrict wiretapping to the area.  Select the check box, set the active area of your touchpad and unintended clicks of your palms "tap" the touchpad will be a thing of the past.

Given that I have activated this option, I have yet to have 1 unwanted click palm!

  • 13D-3000 spectrum: spectrum 13D-3000 HP start not at all

Hello.  I have a laptop of 13 t-3000 HP spectrum.  It is about 2.5 years, in very good condition.  I plugged it in charge to the top of a few nights there, but in the morning it would not start at all.  The only thing that happens is that the power light and the Wifi (F12 key) periodically flash light, every 5 seconds.  The screen does not turn on and is completely black, I don't hear any fan and no other activity of any kind.

I would like any info or suggestions on what may be wrong.

I tried a number of things from the web searches.  It is:

-J' I hold power for 30 seconds to do a "hard reset."  This will stop the flashing.  But if I hit the power again, then the power button / stop and button wifi starts flashing again, but no other activity.

-J' checked that the battery is fully charged.  The light close to the load port turns orange when I plug in the charger, then after a while, it becomes white to indicate that it is fully charged.  I even put a voltmeter on the power supply to verify that he produced 19.5 Volts.

-J' removed the bottom cover to check for any bad connection or dust.  There is no dust, and the laptop is extremely clean.

It was taken by storm the night where I plugged it in to charge, and it was directly connected to the wall.

Suggestions of how to fix it myself, or what it should cost to someone else to fix this would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    -Danny

I just followed on this point, because I've seen similar questions, but never a definitive answer.

After you call HP Tech support, they told me that the power light flashes & key F12 is a symptom of the motherboard

failure.  The solution is to change the motherboard.

My computer came with a warranty of 2 years, but the computer was 2.5 years old, so it was out of warranty.

After some negotiations on the price, HP has decided to fix the problem for $250, including shipping both ways.

It's less than a week back including delivery on time and I have the laptop back and it seems to work

Well now.  I have a 90 day warranty on the repair.  In the future, I'll be careful to always use a surge protector

    When it loads up.

  • Spectrum 13D-3000: Sound LED (F11 key) does not work on Windows 10 1607

    Hello!

After the upgrade to Windows 10 1607, I have a problem with the sound led (F11 key).

It is now always red even if I turn on the sound (by pressing fn + f11 key) or by turning on the sound in the Windows menu.

Before updating the LED becomes white when I turn on the sound. IDT Reinstaling driver did not help. What can you recommend to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    Mykyta salvation,

    Thank you for your answer!

The issue started after a recent update of Windows 10? If Yes, then I suggest a System Restore to before that point and see if the problem is resolved. Then, you can block the particular Windows 10 update does not happen. How to temporarily prevent a reinstallation of Windows 10 driver update.

  • Spectrum 13D-3000CTO: a strange behaviour after upgrade windows 10

Hi all, I wonder if anyone has had the question I had, and if so if you solved it, how is it resolved?

I have improved my 13D to windows 10 when it was available to me, then I noticed that my windows, left alt key and the caps lock light no longer work, however the other keys and lights work. Yes, they worked in windows 8.1, but who wants to go back?

    Hello

You did do a restore of the BIOS, and then test the lights before you did update the BIOS? You did answer this question previously. The system must have a BIOS restore done before additional troubleshooting. The restoration itself without updating was the resolution for many.

As a last resort, please use the following link to create yourself a file number:

  • Spectrum of HP x 360: noise of touchpad HP spectrum x 360 / coward

    Hello

Whenever I press lightly on my laptop in the middle of the trackpad, it makes an annoying noise, the trackpad feels like it is loose. Everyone knows this?

Whenever I have flex slightly as the body of the laptop it disappears completely.

Thought to take my laptop out to tighten the screws, has anyone tried this? Or tried to remove their laptop at all?

    Thank you

    Mike

For anyone who has this problem. You can fix in tightenening the screws holding the trackpad in the chassis. There are four screws requiring tight. I suggest using a lock tight to keep these won't come off again.

You can also try to push slightly on the metal channels directly under the touchpad. You can see a space where there is no metal and that's where the noise is more important. Pushing upward (slightly) on the metal channels can help improve your trackpad.

You must put this thing together completely before you can tell if the problem is resolved. (All need tight screw)

  • Spectrum 14-3200ea Downgrade from Win7 HP

    Hello

After spending a month of searching so portable / ultrabooks, im looking to buy a HP spectrum 14-3200ea machine (considered the spectrum 14-3000 model loaded with Win7, but prefer performance increased 4000 Intel i5-3317 Ivey specs on the chipset Intel 3000 and Sandy of i5-2476).  I'm not interested in touchscreen technology.

Like a few others I hate Windows 8, I also hate MS (IMO) establishing an operating system that is inappropriate for business use.

I have been in contact with HP and received the habit; 'HP recommends changing the operating system' of things, have you thought to...

Spectrum 14-3200ea offers you everything I want in a laptop / ultrabook.  After reading some of the threads on this forum, I am now worried.  I really want to not remove an SSD to re-partition (if indeed it would be possible) outside of the machine.

Disable UEFI, characteristic of secure boot, I agree with.  Win7 drivers for this machine are nonexistent.  I want to make sure that everything works after a downgrade, including 'Beats audio","keyboard backlit"(the latter being one of the main attractions of this machine, the keys are lit as opposed to the light under the keys).

So how much of a nightmare is what it will be?  Is this feasible?

The bog-standard response is "don't go down that road", then just I hold off buying.  Consider other manufacturers such as Lenovo, Samsung, ASUS, or even continue to live with my HP Probook until Microsoft come to their senses and realize that some consumers are simply not interested in the bar silly charms, interfaces terrible desktops, application etc stores and HP realizes a significant number of consumers are not interested in Windows 8 and that they should consider seriously to restore and help potential buyers who want nothing to do with the disorder known as Windows 8.

My other solution would be to stick with Win8 and apply each internet tweak suggested, download all conceivable 3 advantage module do Win8 it look and feel like Windows 7.  A path already traveled, then realized, 'what's the point? "

    Thanks for reading...

    Hello:

HP and probably all other PC manufacturers do not support their use of the PC for any operating system, but the current in force when the PC is made (which today is W8).

You already know that the PC company provide support for earlier operating systems.

However, I believe that all of the W7 x 64 drivers of spectrum want 3100t work on the 3200 (except the BIOS files).

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5275317&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5259187&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=4063#11360

As I don't have your laptop, this is the best info I have, or probably everybody will be able to do for you.

If you decide to pursue this option, please make your set of recovery discs before you continue with the switch of the operating system.

  • I could not find drivers for windows 8

I have a hp pavilion dv6-1133et laptop. I could not find drivers for windows 8. What should I do.what do you offer me?

The first thing to do is use Windows snipping tool in Windows 7 to capture devices that make up your laptop. This way you won't have through the hassle of hardware for each device ID when Windows 8 is installed.

I did it for my current loan of the HP Envy spectrum product 13D-3000 CTO Touchsmart Ultrabook in the two images below.

Once you have done this, you know what is installed. You also know looking at the picture, sites of manufacturer in which you must visit to try to find the drivers of Windows 8 for devices. You can also post the pictures here, so we can help you find the drivers.

You also have to share what chipset and CPU is in your laptop. You install as well with us, share the Windows 8 version (32 or 64 bit).
