  I was working with a scan today, grayscale, and I was able to place in an Illustrator file, then colorize without problem. When I went into the Photoshop file and duplicate the original layer of digital locked and saved on the tiff format would not colorize in Illustrator. Had to return the raw scan and rework the file without duplicating the original locked layer. It took more time and is a bit worrying.  Does anyone know why it won't colorize the tiff in grayscale with layer duplicated in Illustrator? Any idea on this would be greatly appreciated. Oh one last thing, colorization worked with tones but not CMYK builds. I forgot to mention that.

  FIXED FIXED... Just happened to a co-worker of mine using CC (also works in CS6)... Here's what we did to fix it. Open the file in photoshop, click the bottom/last layer in your Layer palette. Next in the menu bar: layer > New > background from layer. Record. Now, in illustrator, you can color the file. If you have ever tried to colorization, the color should now display when you switch to illustrator. NOTE: it will flatten this last layer, if it is not ok for you then add a layer of white inside, make a background layer, as described above, and 'disable' the layer by clicking the eyeball next to him. Save and you're done. Hope this helps someone.

  Try to update your video card driver to exclude

  Then reset your preferences - with Photoshop CC you can do it in the preferences. Earlier versions require that you press the modifier keys that you launch Photoshop. Ctrl alt shift on Windows or cmd opt shift on Mac.

  because in RGB color mode represents fire. all colors are red, green and blue. in CMYK mode, it represents the inks. This black can consist of a single black ink or a combination of the other inks. in your case, it seems as if it was only in black.

  Well, the spot color has not changed, but the way they were simulated four-color changed, they now use color management to get to the nearest ink possible task.

Then, I opened a picture at once and changed the settings of Photoshop CC ProPhoto RGB color (under the workspace). When I was editing on photoshop, I tried to export the image, but the colors seemed different, a bit washed out and blue, from the color of the workspace, I was on.   Make sure that you are connected to the CC profile through the Illustrator preferences. Once you create the themes on the site of Adobe color. You should see the themes load in the palette of theme.

  Try to reset the preferences to see if that helps. Also try to sign out and sign back in the profile to trigger the themes to sync

  Create a global sample (swatch spot) and then you can use a cursor to hue.

  Change the blending mode to normal instead of the hue of the adjustment layer.

  00FF00 is a web color. OK if you are working in RGB.

  But if you are working in CMYK mode you will not be able to print it because it is outside the range of CMYK and will convert the darker green. It's what the warning symbol.
