Timestamp event veiwer divergence issue

My HP under Vista Home Premium laptop wakes up every morning around 03:00. I'm going nuts here. OK, I tried to use command prompt "powercfg - LASTWAKE and I get the count of the history-1, then history [0] and County source for zero.» So I'm going to the system event log viewer and find the resolution power of the problems, and this is where it gets weird and what about my main question right now.

Here is what I get in the general tab:

Tsystem what he took from his sleep.

Sleep time: 2009-02-25 07:55:13
Wake-up time: 25/02/2009 11:00:34

Wake Source: unknown

Now my problem is why these events are marked in these moments there (especially the alarm time) when the event is logged at 2009-02-25 03:00:38 ?

The other BIG problem for me is that I am writing this post at 2009-02-25 07:26:42 times above have yet to happen. How could it be?

Thank you
Tony

Tony,

Follow these steps to put your computer in a clean boot environment, let this then be put into hibernation during the night, come back in the morning and see if the same situation occurs in these conditions. (Note, you might be able to adapt your time to speed up the tests, I can't guarantee that it will provide sufficient accuracy however).

Clean boot

We will also test in a clean boot environment to see if this issue is related to interference from other services / programs:

  1. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.)
  2. On the general tab, click Selective startup.
  3. Under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
  4. Click the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
  7. After the computer starts, test the issue again.

---------------------------------------------------

Clean boot your computer with an interference minimum from any program or service that are not linked windows works. This will help us understand what could potentially be the cause.

I recommend the race clean start just before you put your computer in hibernation for the night (or if you want to change the setting of the time), then we can see if windows update works properly or not. Restore only the normal start after checking the condition in the morning (or after the set time) and check the event log to see if an event similar to the previous mentioned.

---------------------------------------------------

To restore your Normal startup:

  1. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.)
  2. On the general tab, click Normal startup.
  3. When you are prompted, click on restart.

Under XP Pro.  I tried to get rid of this for some time.  Don't ask why I didn't contact Microsoft (would have been too easy, I guess).  I found a registry fix that was supposed to work, but is not the case.  He had to do an update from Microsft and Java help file (all well above my payscale) who messed things up a bit.  I've been to as many sites and read as many articles, I do not remember much today.  This problem first appeared in maybe 96 according to some of the things that I read (people like you, who fix the things).  I really thought I got it... HA!  Then I fell asleep.  The fix was:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\HHRestrictions] "OverrideLMZLinHHContainer" = dword: 00000001 "

I was happy just stalled after that I added this, but, no, the error doesn't either suffocating.  This was my first experience of regedit, I'm not at all farmiliar with it.  I think hunting down LMZ in HHcontainer so that I can make sence out of control (override) that is supposed to do something for something to replace the help file.  I got nothing.

  • Guard judgment of Windows XP. Event Veiwer Watch: \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with Win XP PRO SP3. It keeps closing after half an hour to an hour. The event viewer shows the following error in the system log: \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block

    Help, please. Thank you... Nam

    Speed stop?

Unexpected/unpredictable and quick stops are generally caused by overheating or bad RAM modules.  This happens too fast to create an entry in the newspapers.  Try downloading / running the freeware 'CoreTemp'.  It will show you how hot your CPU is getting and how close to maximum temperature, it is.  If this is your problem, open your folder and check your fans to make sure they turn all.  Use a can of compressed air to remove dust, because it can act like a blanket and heat your components.

To solve your problem of bad block, run "Chkdsk" with the 'repair' or ' / R ' option.  This should clean up your bad block problem.

If you look at the summary of administrative events, you will see the list of the most recent. Look at each of the errors, then Google/Bing the event ID or message text for solutions possible.

There are serious problems with dataflow doe to wrong choice of program design.

You shouldn't ever have event inside the strctures case structures, especially structures event, each in a situation different from the structure of the case. Event structures are not dataflow leads, so they queue of events even if there is now way to the service of the event due to issues of data flow. Your events are defined to lock the front until the end of the event, so any event that cannot be handled by the program crashes to the top of the façade for ever.

So: Get rid of the box structure and use a structure of single event with several instances of the event. That should be all you need. The structure of the event should be directly on the diagram of the while loop. Simplify! Put your business structure housing unique timeout and modulate the duration of the time-out period by an if necessary shift register.

A good tool is also highlighted. Use the VI while looking at the chart in Slow Motion. You'll see where it gets stuck.

  • In a tool such as Foglight events about APM-driven alerts

    Hi all

Our company is currently having an internal debate whether Foglight can replace IBM Netcool Omnibus.  I had a conference call with Gartner last week to discuss the surveillance as a whole and one gentlemen on the phone said that "Foglight can replace Omnibus' which has left me a bit confused because I know that we have had these discussions with Dell, who said that they are not a replacement for Netcool Omnibus. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and I couldn't get their probe on this statement.

We currently use the functionality of Netcool Omnibus in 5 ways that are:

    Event command line injection

There is a binary called postzmsg which is drawn from the command line with parameters that contain the severity, summary, on call group and so on.

    Syslog monitoring
Omnibus has a probe called syslog that we use for monitoring Oracle database log files and trigger events in Omnibus if specific events are found in the newspaper.  This is done in real time.

    SNMP traps
Omnibus currently listening to breaks SNMP of some of our products like CA Autosys and cypress trees of the ASG.

    E-mail

Omnibus was an electronic probe that monitors a specific e-mail (Google) for specifically formatted e-mail account and then turns them into an Omnibus event.  We use usually this method as a last resort because it is dependent on the e-mail.

    Automation of self-correction
Omnibus contains what is called "Actions".  We can search for specific events, and then take corrective action with Automation in Omnibus to fix what caused the event. An example of this would be with our product CA Autosys.  Omnibus search specifically for events 'pulse' every 5 minutes. These heartbeats are sent directly by a job in Autosys which in turn proves Autosys is running.  If Omnibus does not see the heart beat, she considers as inactive Autosys and run scripts which then try to restart Autosys save.  Omnibus then reports if this attempt succeeded or failed and worsens the severity according to its conclusions.

Please keep in mind that all of these methods are with an event-driven approach rather than a performance-based approach.

I really need to have a clear picture on whether and how the Foglight can cope with the event focused on issues.

I asked Dell technical support who said the follow-up:

You may be able to use a script agent to meet your needs. The script agent could return data to the FMS and you could have a rule that fires based on the data returned. You would be responsible to creating the script used by the agent. There is a "Builiding Script Agents" section under the "Customizing Your Environment with Tooling | Building Script Agents" in the Foglight Administration and Configuration guide.

Has anyone had experience with this? What was the result? Do you use today? Advantages vs disadvantages?

If anyone has the source code example that it would be really appreciated! I am also very interested in hearing other thoughts which have Foglight and another tool such as Omnibus or other tools and how they use with Foglight or if they withdrew these tools after having long Foglight.

Thanks to you all! Looking forward to your answers!

    Larry Roberts

    Larry,

Foglight can be configured to monitor the applications where an out of the box cartridge (module) was not developed and delivered with the product. There are several ways to customize Foglight.

    Event command line injection

Looks like you want to send alarms foglight via a command line program. It is feasible because there are available with Foglight APIs to create alarms.

    Syslog monitoring

Foglight monitoring logs with the logfilter agent. You can set the strings that need to be searched (when a log file is updated by your applications), then specify the corresponding string (based on regular expressions) is a warning, critcal or a fatal alert.

For monitoring of log files from the database, which is available with the cartridges of the database (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase) delivered with Foglight.

    SNMP traps

Foglight can receive (out of the box) SNMP traps and convert them to Foglight alarms.

    E-mail

I study further on this request. Basically, it takes an e-mail player that puts the emails in a log file that will read the Foglight LogFilter agent and search for error conditions.

Automation of self-correction Foglight rules have actions that can be performed in the cases where the rule detects specific conditions as the processor high as a basic example and then run the scripts commands, scripts remotely, send SNMP traps, invoke a JavaEE trace, etc. A custom agent could be developed to run your heartbeat AutoSys and then search for an answer to a file or stdout and update a Foglight table that is being tested in a rule.

  • Satellite Pro L300 WiFi continues to drop and doesn't reconnect until you restart

Hi, I have a Satellite Pro L300, number of model PSLB9E - 00G007EN running windows Vista professional.

Recently I started trying to connect to my wifi at home instead of using the ethernet cable.

Research shows my home network and then I connect with the password, everything all right at this stage, sometimes an hour, sometimes for 10 minutes and then the connection disappears. When I try and re-connect it does not find any wifi network, but I have not moved from where I was when I was connected. I have I-phones, etc. and another laptop running windows 8 connected wireless, and there is no problem with any other machine, just my toshiba!

Sometimes if I turn off the wifi using the switch at the front and then put it again which solves it, but once again only for another 10/20 or 30 minutes. Sometimes even that does not work and I have to restart the machine to find the network! It works, but once again for a limited period until he gave up the connection and it disappears again, back to square one.

I even tried to take this work and connect to the wi - fi, but still exactly the same thing happens, so I think I can rule out problems with my home network / router.

I'm not very good with computers, but have managed to check if the driver is up-to-date, etc., and all appear here... Help, please!

I think that the wireless is the following: Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802. 11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network adapter

    The driver version is: 6.1162.610.2009

My Windows Vista Business 64-bit is by the way

    > I think that the wireless is the following: Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802. 11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network adapter
Yes, you are right, the laptop seems to be equipped with the Realtek RTL8187B WLan card.
This wireless network card supports 802.11 B and G standard.

    First update the WLan driver.
Here you can find the latest WLan drivers available on the Realtek page:
    [Driver Realtek RTL8187 WLan: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=40&Level= 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & downloads = EU tr]

This driver is for Win XP / Vista / Win 7

In the event that the issue will not be resolved, go to the Device Manager.
Choose the WLan card-> properties and go to the Advanced tab
Here, choose either the 802 standard. 11 B or G. This setting depends on the settings of your router. If your router supports 802. 11 G, you must choose G

  • Satellite image of the 1PW L50 - B (WIN8.1) monitor problem

    Hi all!.

Last week I bought this one and I have a few questions and problems with it - unfortunately.

First - I can't do capitalize the letter 'B' (SHIFT keys and 'b' button works correctly).
I heard about issues of shortcuts.

    How can I solve it?

The other - the most important.
I noticed few shining spots on the frame of screens (photos below) - from the beginning.
Is this normal or should I be angry? LED display working properly (not clouding effect etc.)

    Hello

With regard to the issue of upper case 'B ':
Check if the same question would appear using the external keyboard. In the event that the issue does not appear, the internal keyboard must be faulty.

By the way; You should also check if the question in capital letters would appear using various applications.

With regard to the frame of the display
In my opinion these tasks on the frame of the screen are not the common properties of frame and so I advise you to get in touch with to a Toshiba ASP just to check if the framework could be replaced.

This strangely similar to malware - possibly a rogue screensaver among others.

Try downloading.installing, implemented to update and run a full scan of the system with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware -www.malwarebytes.org - see what it brings and deletes.
