TMS Jabber for Telepresence

We have tested Active Directory for commissioning.  TMS 13.2.1, VCS 7.2.1.

Jabber accounts allow the connection with where appropriate, assigned to the AD account.

However, he is allowing the connection regardless of password.

If the account name is incorrect when you connect, it fails.  If the user is not a member of the appropriate group, it fails.  It is as desired.

However, if we go all or nothing in password, it allows to connect.

What Miss me?

Thank you

Check settings of authentication of zone and subzone of your VCS, I suspect that they are set to "Treat as certified" that will allow anyone to register regardless of what is presented for authentication.  You must set the appropriate boxes for 'Check Credentials', which will allow only those that match exactly on behalf of username/password for the Jabber account.

ID suggest you discover the VCS authenticate devices Deployment Guide, which will help you better understand the parameters you need and the desired result you want.

I was asked to rollouot the Jabber telepresence (MAC OS). I took all the Jabber for telepresence (Windows) However, I'm not familiar with the version of MAC OS.

I looked for MAC OS user's guide, however it does not show where to enter the settings for the internal and external parameters.

If someone has installed the version of MAC OS before and are there special models which must be addedd inot models in MSDS

If you are looking to create a preconfigured installation program, see here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/Jabber_Video/4_6/CJAB_BK_C89F6C9E_00_cisco-Jabber-video-for-telepresence_chapter_011.html#CJAB_TK_CB861748_00

The settings are in the relevant plist, look for com.cisco.JabberVideo.plist located in Library\Preferences.

Parameters can also be added locally by the user; Open JabberVideo and click the key/screwdriver icon or choose JabberVideo then Preferences from the top Ribbon.

Otherwise, there is no model of special supply required for the Mac, the two Win version and Mac use the same provisioning models.

  • Jabber for Telepresence blocked on "connect to..." »

I had my computer company team check, fix my connection settings (I can ping the internal/SIP Server Server/external domain), but my connection always fails when you attempt to connect to the server.  Tried a different user account, but has the same problem and could not connect. I tried to stop my Windows Firewall service (7) and reinstall/repair of the Jabber for telepresence app, but it remains impossible to connect. Is there anything else I can try? The company VPN is not the issue, because other users can connect successfully from their PC. It seems that the problem is local to my PC, but it's just a new, default basic install Windows 7 x 64. Is there a install logs that I can check for more information on the failure of the connection? Any ideas?

    Thank you

See attached pdf for how to make debugging (it says Win XP, but it is the same procedure for Win 7), it might give you a clue as to what's going on - however, if your connection attempt is actually hitting the server, then your COMPUTER team should be able to see this, and any associated error , the newspaper of the VCS.

  • Video Jabber for TelePresence, VCS-E connection problem

    Hello

I recently configured control VCS, VCS Expressway and TMS. Two VCS servers are software X7.2 and TMS is on 14.1.1 commissioning is configured between the VCS control and TMS, everything works OK internally and users can log in their Jabber client of telepresence video.

When you try to connect via the highway-VCS I get the following question: "connection refused by the server. Try to connect again later"

Area authentication is configured like this:

    VCS-Highway

Sub-area by default: do not check the credentials

Area Sefault: Do not check the credentials

Crossing area: Do not check the credentials

    VCS-control

    Default subfield: treat as authenticated

    Area by default: credentials check

    Subarea: Credentials Check {area which movi users register to regex function}

Crossing area: Do not check the credentials

Search the rules between the two VCS game [email protected] / * / OK.

The only port of the restrictions in place here are between the VCS control and VCS Expressway, outgoing ports open to the highway of the SANCTION.

It seems to me that there is a connection problem, as opposed to an authentication problem. also, do I need to configure a SIP domain local VCS-Highway even if I try to proxy, registration to the VCS control.

Would be appreciated if someone can verify my authentication area also...

    Thank you

    Simon,

to do this, you re normally the area on VCS - C as "check credentials.

If you want to proxy of VCS VCS-C-E records, you should not add the SIP domain name to the VCS-E.

"Rejected by the login server" sounds weird in this case, however, could you share what you use for this deployment, the SIP domain name so that we can verify that your DNS SRV records are fine?

  • Jabber for iPad - model provisioning of TMS

First of all, I didn't know where to post this... in the Jabber for iPad or article of telepresence.  So I thought as it comes to the TMS, I would put it here.

Where can we download the MSDS provisioning model for the new Jabber for the release of the iPad, trying to set it up for the video?  It provides a link to where you can download the template, but there is no section for iPad.  Documentation on setting up with the TMS and VCS is linked below, it's just as if we were video configuration Jabber for telepresence (Windows/MAC).

    Hi Tom and all,.

The TMS Provisioning model is attached. It should be posted the ORC in the coming days.

  • Video of Jabber Cisco Telepresence band bandwidth provisioning

    Hello

We have deployed video jabber cisco for telepresence 4.5 with VCS 7.2 and TMS 13.2.2.  We use jabber to take interviews. The candidates will be sent the link to download the jabber with the required authentication settings. The Jabber is configured with the Public Max and minimum bandwidth of 768 Kbps.

My question is related to the downspeed of bandwidth. If we configure the bandwidth of 768 Kbps prvosining and internet bandwidth of candidates is less than 768 Kbps will be the Downspeed VCS to accroding appeal to the bandwidth of the network of candidates.

for example if my internet connection from home is just 512 Kbps and the use of the jabber to make a call to ex90 in my office. Bandwidth settings is preconfigured in the jabber as 768 Kbps. When the call is established will be VCS downspeed the call at 512 Kbps.

    Krishna.

You cannot configure a minimum bandwidth, which is always the maximum bandwidth jabbervideo will use.

The user can only set this value downward but not upward, but as the client detects a loss and stores a database

with information on used networks recently and its quality.

So, should not be a big problem the faster speeds available and allow the customer to do magic.

I woud recommend to (re) read the Jabber_Video_Administrator_Guide

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/MOVI/admin_guide/Jabber_Video_Administrator_Guide_4-5.PDF

This gives you more information concerning automatic bandwidth adaptation and capabilies of bandwidth detection.

  • Jabber for Windows 11.5 and connection of the unit - German special characters in password

We Jabber for Windows 11.5.2 running and using the connection of the Unit 10.5.2. Whenever a user uses a password with the German special characters (a, o, u), Jabber is not able to connect to the connection of the unit. Everything else works fine. We also have this problem in 10.6 versions. In the voicemail tab it is said that the name of user or password is wrong. We can reproduce the problem...

BTW. also it does not work in the current jabber for iOS version!

Anyone know if it's a bug or experiencingthe same problem?

I simply make the point that use German special characters causes a lot of problems, in many places, whole CUCM and IM & P and you avoid them.

  • Cisco Jabber for iPad released 9.2, dns issue

    Hello!

Is there an administrator's guide for the new version of the iPad? I can only find one for version 9.1:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/voice_ip_comm/Jabber/iPad/9_1/Admin/JABP_BK_J3C828CB_00_jabber-for-iPad-Admin-9-1-1.html

which does not describe the function of automatic discovery for the style connection "e-mail."

I can see there are some research carried out:

    TXT? domain.com.

    SRV? _cuplogin._tcp.domain.com.

    SRV? _xmpp-client._tcp.domain.com.

    SRV? _cisco-phone-tftp._tcp.domain.com.

    SRV? _ciscowtp._tcp.domain.com.

    SRV? _ciscowtp._tcp.jabber.com.

    SRV? _ciscowtp._tcp.webex.com.

It works fine for me if I put the _sips._tcp.external.domain.com. pointing to my vcse.

One explanation could be useful, expecially did what research TXT.

    Hello Martin!

I know that your question is a couple of weeks and I think since the Jabber for iPad team has posted the last administration guide which has been updated to version 9.2.  See the section 'Setup DNS SRV' as it could explain what you are looking for - I know not how this article differs from the previous guide...

For the benefit of third parties who have Jabber for the iPad from the specific questions, please note that the community of Jabber Clients is available.

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows user Photos

    8.6.3 CUPS

Client Jabber for Windows Version 9.0.1 Build 8802

I noticed that Jabber Client for Windows Cisco does not automatically refresh with updated photos in Active Directory.

I had updated the user photo in AD and noticed that he wouldn't. I travelled to "C:\Users\\App Data\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Photos" and had to manually delete the users photos in this folder. I left on the Jabber Client and restarted the program. When I did this, crashed the Jabber Client, I saved the report of crash and re-opened the Jabber client. This time the customer opened correctly, and the photos update appeared now!

It seems that Cisco would not set the photos to be cached on the local computer.

    Any thoughts?

    Hey Ellen,.

Looks like the similar problem with CUPC. Previously, I had a discussion with our Dev team for CUPC Photos of caching locally.

This has been identified in the following improvements:

CSCtu25084    CUPC Contact photo put in cache and do not update dynamically

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtu25084

I will update to add Cisco Jabber for Windows as well.

    Best regards

  • Jabber for Windows and the 'old' Click-to-Call

    Good evening

Is anyone able to tell me what is the status of Jabber for windows and "Click to call" function

Prior to Jabber, you could install the stand-alone click to call the client for windows to have the feature, then whith CUPC, you had to use the embedded click to call software for the feature, but now with Jabber, you have the TEL: and benefits: via an HTML page, but what as before, the integration of Microsoft Office (word, outlook, etc...)

I found no clear information on the subject.

It is still supported for the stand-alone Click Call software installed with also Jabber for Windows or not?

    Thank you for your reply,

    Kind regards

    Christophe

You cannot install them on the same PC as they will interfere with each other.

  • Cannot delete second line to Jabber for Tablet on CUCM device

    Hi all

The feature we're trying to make is that people will have different DNs to their phones to desktop and Jabber for iPad devices, but when you make a call from iPad, the DN of desk phone will be shown. I was test the functionality of main extension in the CUCM, but it is not working properly so far. And now, I added two different DNs to a Jabber for Tablet and can not remove the other of 'button Elements change '. It gives the following error:

    Update failed. TypeDbErrors.gen25083

Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Any ideas on how to use the functionality of the main extension?

    Kind regards

    Fikri

    Environment:

    CUCM 8.6.2

For iPad 9.3.2 Jabber / Jabber for iOS 9.6

I remove the device and re-create or remove the DN and then put back on the devices on what belongs. The only real way to solve this would be a case of TAC, so they can open a default for you.

Main extension is not used in all States to display alert/connected. The only way to achieve this would be a lot of bosses/partitions/CSSes translation very complicated with requesting party transformations. For example, if your DN desk phone was 2000, but the DN tablet was 3000, the translation model that must match for each call number must transform the appellant to 2XXX.

If you would like an opinion, it is bad design. You send a person to a separate address for their office or their smartphone. CUCM is designed to work the same way: you call a user, not the device.

Please remember useful frequency responses and identify useful or correct answers.

  • Videoconferencing using Jabber for Mac

    Greetings,

    I will allow video conferencing using Jabber for Mac for two offices in different cities. Number of users would be<50, no="" networking="" or="" conferencing="" equipment="" is="" present="" other="" than="" the="" internet="" link="" provided="" by="">

What is the list of all the hardware, software and product licenses necessary for a solution that would allow video conferencing required from end to end?

Take a look at Ubiety, it is based on Acano, which means that you will be able to connect in a conference with everything you want.
