I am trying to install the latest version of Flash (file install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe), browser = Firefox 14 (current), OS = Windows XP. I tried several times, making sure to disable Norton Antivirus Autoprotect first.
At some point throughout the process - while downloading or during Assembly - I get the following error message:
Internet Explorer Script error
Line: 1
Char: 10010
Error: 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is not defined
Code: 0
URL: http://127.0.0.1:1174/app/_js/adobe.js
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? [Yes] [None]
If I answer [Yes] or [no] the result is the same - the program crashes. It does not close, and when I close it manually it asks if I want to stop it. But if I leave it there, nothing happens.
By the advice of the site, I uninstalled Flash in order to restart costs. This means that, instead of having an outdated Flash version, I now none.
I tried to RTFM, but research for this error go empty. I'm curious to know why Internet Explorer being participates in it at first. But mostly, I'm just curious as to how to get this thing to work.
Thanks for you help with anything that can give me.

HP Envy 23 Touchsmart SE d494: do not get the internet speed I think I'm supposed to
I just upgraded my ISP service and should get up to 250 MB/s download, but get only around 95 Mbps, which is the same that I was getting before. Looking at the specifications of my computer, it seems that I should have no problem getting the 250 Mbit/s speed. Am I missing something or is there something I need to do? Thank you.
It turns out that the Cat 5 cable I was using was not allowing higher speeds, as I tried to replace it with another cable, I had and immediately got the faster speeds. Now, I'm getting around 230 Mbps download. Cool!

Get the Internet script error when Internet Explorer is closed
get internet script error, even when internet Explorer is closed. its Web site also comes in my speakers when no one is around the computer? Everyone please help my os is xp home edition
First thing I would do is to restart the system and download MSE and install if you don't the have not already installed. Update and run. Download of Malware bytes and install and run this update from.
Then, you can run chkdsk from the command prompt. Type chkdsk /f at the prompt and press on enter then type y to run check disk on the next reboot. Exit command prompt and restart the system to allow running chkdsk.
Let us know if that fixes it or what the results were.
Hope this helps,

Could not get the internet/wireless connection after you installed new hard drive?
I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (dv6736nr), Windows Vista laptop. The hard drive crashed and I got a new installed. I set up my wireless connection, even that is on the other 4 computers in this building (my desktop computer running win7 netbook win7 running 2 computers of the landlord, winVista running - they have comcast modem,? a good router) when I set up the wireless connection, it connects only 'local', no internet. I researched this some, tried all the places with a parameter that can be a problem, but nothing helped. What the hell did I miss? The connection is good because it works on my desk, on which I write, as I said. To my knowledge, the hard disk the the wireless are not connected; or is it? Any help, the concrete steps that I take on my laptop, the settings themselves, would be greatly appreciated.
Hello:
If your laptop computer is the Atheros wireless card, you probably just update the driver.
The symptoms you listed seem to indicate that is the problem.

Can connect to the network, but not the internet, a "Local" access only
Just installed a new router and am now unable to connect to internet on my HP laptop. The laptop is running Windows Vista 64-bit Service pack 1. Pulling him diagnose & repair window returns a message indicating "your modem or router is not available.
I tried several things to get the internet to connect. I have reinstalled the driver, turned off the firewall, disabled the Internet Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) Protocol and manually configure the network connection.
I have a desktop computer with a wireless adapater that performs the exact same OS as the laptop and I have no problem with this connection.
I am able to connect to the internet if I connect the laptop to the ethernet cable. I am completely confused and would appreciate any advice!
Hi Ima be,
You can follow the steps below and check if that helps you solve the problem.
Method 1
Try to power cycle the router and the computer and check if it helps.
On the PC:
- Save your work and restart the machine.
On the router or modem (if wireless printing):
- Unplug the router and the modem.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug in the modem and wait for it to come to the ready state.
- Plug in the router.
After you put cycle check the connection between the router and the computer.
Method 2
If the steps above do not help, you mayreset TCP/IP stack. To reset access the link below and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357
Disable the IP helpdesk:
1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties
3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
5. click on OK to exit the dialog boxMethod 3
Disable IPv6 and remove IPv6 virtual cards:
Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.
NOTE: You should do this for each network connection, even if they are disabled.Method 4
Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:
Link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756. How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
4 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
5. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
6. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
7. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
8. right click on DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
9. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
10. close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the wireless card.I hope this helps. Let us know the results.
Thank you and best regards,

LAN Internet - unable to connect to the Internet via a LAN cable
Hello
I have an ASUS F3S laptop series running on Vista.
I went on vacation in early June this year and when
I got home that I could not access my internet broadband via the bootable.
I have an another old laptop which works fine using the local network.
I use the ASUS at work and you can get the internet via wireless LAN.
When I try to go online using the LAN laptop trying to access the internet
using the mini port WWAN and not the LAN port.
I have tried to replace the drivers and in desperation, have used the recovery
drive to get Vista back to its original setting.
I still do not have access via the LAN port.
Any ideas?
Sanquay
You must re-create the network connection Wireless LAN (remove the current which is probably set to use the mini port WWAN and create a new one) and specify the LAN port during installation. This should solve the problem. Check out the following articles for some detailes, suggestions, troubleshooting instructions and general information that may be useful. Pay special attention to how to remove a wireless/network connection as it differs from a regular connection, and if not done correctly can continue to exist when you think he's gone (and the system it shows same gone but is not).

Hi I have a problem connecting to the internet. When I click on the internet it goes straight to windows media player.
HI Maria,
If you are using Vista, go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll down to EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations. Once done, do the same for LNK entry. This should restore your programs and get the Internet icon to go to the internet rather than WMP. If you use Windows 7, go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. If you are using XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm.
If this does not work and it started recently, try a system restore to a restore point BEFORE the problem started. If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html. If the first attempt fails, try an earlier point or two because the problem may have started before you noticed.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
