Together or constant load to a control at the beginning of a program

Hello

I would like to read the "Scan of a file" allows to load or set a control to a specific value when I press the run button to start the program.

Once the program is running, the user can change the control to another number.

The constant in the file read by "Scan of a file" does not change.

For example, I would like to the first 'Double' 'Scan of a file' output for the interval of thread tension control.

I have the "Scan of a file" set up, but when I try to connect an output of 'Scan of a file' my conrtol, it gives the error "wire connected to a tunnel of unidirected".

Use 'Select' to do this? It is will be messy but because I have a bunch of constants I want to. Any other ideas? Or a solution to my main question?

See you soon

You must connect to the local variable or the value of property node, the control that you want to programmatically set the value of.

(The message is "not channeled tunnel").

    That's what I hate about flash upgrades :-)  What is simple is now documented by 15 pages of chicken scratches.  I looked through the docs and I just lost.

    What I want to do is quite simple in AS2: onClipEvent (EnterFrame)

    {

    _root.gotoAndPlay("2");

    }

    But can't do it now.   It does not work as an action image without the onClipEvent.

    All I want to do is go to the last frame of the scenario in box 2 and skip the preloader.

    How the hell do in AS3?   I searched online and cannot find the method, and perhaps search terms do not work. All I can find apply to AS2.

    Thanks in advance.

    BTW, for some reason that I can't apply all actions to an MC on the stage. Weird.

    The f

    It is not that you are tying to a MovieClip, rather as you move the MovieClip called 'root' (the main timeline) to do something.

    The action is always an action picture.  It runs as soon as the image is loaded.

  • What is the right way to use variables controlled by the two buttons and programming?

    First of all, I apologize if this has been discussed before.  I know not how to phrase succinctly the application, so maybe I just missed the search terms.

    We have several pieces of the Labview software in the laboratory that automatically control things like the taps and heaters.  Sometimes we also manually control these same things.  I'm moving old NI PCI (and older versions of Labview) maps to a variable and based on compactRIO system shared network.  However, I'm still not on best practices to achieve.  I need to be able to have a script running at any time control panel so that I can access, for example, a valve controller (which is just a Boolean), and I need power open and close the valve by programming other scripts.  I need, of course, the control panel to track the State of the valve until it opens another script, the Panel indicates that it is open, and the next push on the control panel it will close.

    Historically, this has been processed using structures business to move from a "computer control" and "hands-on" with global variables that define the State of the valves.  Of course, this is not recommended.

    So far, I've played with the help of two variables, a status of valve and the other for the State of button.  The Panel configuration then loops, reads the status of the valve and puts the State of button if the State of the valve has changed.  I can do this with registers at offset or with the structures of the event, but anyway, it gets very crowded and seems inefficient.  Is there a good way to do this in Labview?  It seems this is a common problem, so I hope there is an easy and elegant solution that I've missed.

    Variable published use shared network.  Your scenario and your manual of the interface and change the variable and then shared your cRIO reads fair value and writes the appropriate values.

    Now for a cool part.  On your manual interface, right-click on your heart control that you want to use to control the shared variable and go to properties.  There should be a data binding tab in the Properties dialog box.  You can bind a control/indicator to a published network shared variable.  So this button will always be attributed to the current state.

    Your script should just read the shared variable before resuming to verify that it is in the correct state.

  • In the VI library OR: extract, control of the channel numbers are loaded automatically every time that the VI is open with "count to five: a 2 three 4.0 five." Whence this string of data?

    Even after the removal of the string "count to five: a 2 3 4.» 5."since the control of the chain and its replacement by another string, the original string returns after that the VI has been saved then reopened. Whence this string of data? I have attached a copy of the library feature. In my application, I was able to work around the problem by replacing the chain with a constant string control. But I'm still curious to know what is happening.

    Thank you
    Chuck

    Chuck,

    Chain drive was scheduled by default with the string you see.  To change it, enter the new string, right-click on the control and select

    Operations on the data > default font of the current value

    Now, save your vi.

  • TypeDef/control of the load of a road fixed

    Hi all

    I tried to search but could not find this topic. But I doubt if it has not already, examined in the forum of LabVIEW.

    In my application, I used custom controls. The application has several "pieces" and each of them uses "similar" (but not necessary even) TypeDef controls that I customized to sequel of the game.

    Good feature of LabVIEW is that even if the control file is moved to a different path, he finds and charge it, with a warning. However, in my case, I need to disable this feature for some control files. Is this possible?

    I use files from control with the same name, but they are planned for different screws 'call' If this is not a good practice, I can change the names of each control file, adding a prefix/suffix to the name of the calling application. Each control file becomes unique.

    But still, this will remain a question. Due to small and appropriate names, I often prefer them with a 'typical' name I would give for such control. As in every application, we have a program of 'hand '. And what I faced, the problem is when I loaded a VI, he 'used' automatically control (bearing the same name as one who waits for this VI) which is already loaded (in a way) by an already open another VI, even if the intended control exist in the expected location. He showed a warning, but did not ask "do you want to load the original, or use the one in the memory?

    My question is, is it possible to have a "projected" pathname to be fixed and does not have the VI load the 'recently' opened 'namesake' control under his control expected?

    The feature is good, but in some cases, can shut down us or not?

    Vaibhav says:

    Thanks for the comment Mark!

    Yes, it's true.

    But what about stop unwanted connections of messsing upward in the first place the program? I mean, before you build a project.

    Moreover, if we open a program via the Project Explorer, it would still not allow to open a file whose twin brother is already in the memory. But will it scream before assuming a new connection on its own?

    No, the projects work like libraries. Once you have the screw in a project of his name is modified internally, or least how to locate the disk which allows you to open both projects at the same time. The trick here is to get the job done through projects rather than opening the screw directly. As long as you work through the projects themselves, you can use two screws or different typedefs bearing the same name located in different directories at the same time. It's as long as each of them is a member of another project.

    Hi MAMARDA,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

    I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue so that we can better help you.

    (a) what version of Windows 7 use you?

    (b) what is the exact error message you are getting?

    Method 1: You can also try to perform a file system (scan SFC) verification tool. This tool will fix the system files are corrupted.

    Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

    5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

    11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

    Method 2: If this is a recent problem that has developed you can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

    To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next

    4. click on finish

    Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    For more information, please follow the below given link:

    How to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

    Method 3: you can try to start safe mode and restore the system, if you are unable to do it in normal mode.

    For a safe boot, you can follow the below given steps:

    1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

    Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    2. do one of the following:

    a. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

    b. If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

    When you are in safe mode, follow the steps mentioned above to complete the restore of the system.

    Hope the helps of information.
    Please post back and we do know.

  • FLASH AS2 main swf loaded swf playback controls

    Hello

    I have two swf files. The main (main.swf) swf that loads another swf (external.swf).

    The current code in my main swf that loads external swf file is:

    Stop();

    this.createEmptyMovieClip ("holder", 1);

    holder.loadMovie ("content/swf/M01/disclaimer.swf");

    The loaded swf file must unload on a click event, then the main swf movie should resume playing.

    The code in the swf file is:

    on (release) {}

    _level0.gotoAndPlay ("hideMSG");

    _parent.unloadMovie("content/SWF/M01/disclaimer.swf",1);

    }

    The external swf file loads and unloads perfectly, but the film does not seem to take over.

    When I try to use _level0.play, it seems to reload and restart the file main.swf.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Laura

    No, there is no downtime in this context, there is indeed a play(); which is exactly what I want.

    I managed to get it using variables instead of work.

    Thank you

    Laura

  • Volume buttons control only the ringer volume

    It seems that the volume buttons on the side of the phone just control the ringer volume. On other Android phones, ringtone and Notification volumes have been linked together for ease of use.

    On the Droid Ultra/Maxx, there are four different volumes: media, ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. And none of them are interconnected. It is extremely annoying for many reasons, the main reason being there is no easy way to lower or increase the volume of ringtone and Notifications at the same time by using the volume buttons.

    The ring volume is adjustable to the max, but the text message sound will be very quiet. Or the ring volume can be set down, but text message noise will be very strong.

    Is it possible to fix this?

  • Initialization of controls on the front

    Hello

    On my front, I have several controls that the user must set before executing the program. The user mostly enters values that each time that on the front before running the program.  Is it possible to save these values in the control on the front panel, so that the user sees every time when the opening .vi program file?

  • Control to the Clipboard

    Is it possible to copy a control to the Clipboard? As I discovered is is possible to paste text into the windows clipboard. My intention is to create a small application that finds GPIB-addresses from a network definition file and copy to a VISA-resource (or constant) control to the Clipboard. Thus, in any VI I can run just my little app that I start from the LabView Menu, select my device and have a constant resource VISA or a control to the Clipboard the idea so far. It is possible to copy and paste a control from a VI-is it possible by programming?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

    Not all browsers support the option parts hanging out. Save the image to your hard drive, and then drag it from there in a vacuum VI.

    As a general rule, access the new VI object primitives and other scripts options to enable the script in the Options dialog box (in 2010, in earlier versions, you need to download the installer API script separately).

  • How to show or hide a control on the front

    Hi all, I review the code to someone else, and a control at the front panel seems to be hidden until click you on an item to display. I tried to use right click in front panel and it did not work by clicking something bound to show or hide. Since I did not quite familiar with property nodes, this hidden parameter can be linked to it.

    In the photo, it shows the façade and its two property nodes, could someone advise me how to change the setting to show this control? Thank you!

    Hey.

    Is that what you are looking for...

    The Visible property to set the option above by programming.  If you want it to, you need wire a real constant itself.

    Kind regards

  • Get lost with the controls on the panels

    Hi all,

    With the help of Lavwindows 2010

    I have a little difficulty with my UIR.  I inherited a project with several panels, 2 have about 340 controls on each of them, I'm looking at (for example) a certain (RATE) control properties. I use the tree Panel to get the table I want and the FREQUENCY control.  I double click on the name of the control RATE.  In the details (under the tree Panel) section, it shows the name of the constant is MLED_MAX12_2 and its status led (its really a digital slide).

    Is it just that CVI has trouble with panels containing a large amount of controls?

    Is there another way for me to access this control? (right click on RATE and by selecting OBJECT UI FIND gives me the properties of the control MLED_MAX12_2.

    Is there a limit to the number of controls on a Panel? of the project? File of the UIR?

    Thank you

    Pete Hedlund

    I couldn't reproduce it in 2010 SP1, so I tried in 2010, and I could reproduce the bug. This problem has been fixed in 2010 SP1.

    http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/tut/p/ID/12323#290057_by_Category

    The solution is to change the control in the edit control dialog box that appears when you click on , when a control has focus in the editor the user interface with the editing tool selected (as opposed to the tool of exploitation). Or you can double-click the control to display the edit control dialog box.

  • Increase control of the façade of a trigger button in the Loop Simulation

    I want the 'Index' control to automatically increment when you press the OK button. It works very well. However, the control of the Index gets automatically incremented whenever the VI is started and when you press the Stop button. Even if the box Structure is wired with a constant False (which means that it must never be run), control of the Index is still incremented.

    Is there a bug when using local variables within the structures of the case in the Simulation loop? This does not occur when you use a while loop.

    I think that since a loop of Simulation has no shift registers, you will need to use a feedback node.

    I have NO experience using simulation loops, just trying to help.

    See the example attached to see what I mean.

  • Disabling the controls on the front panel

    Hello

    Currently, I am working on trying to disable/gray out between 10-20 controls on the front panel when you press a start button and then allowing them the end of the test. Currently I use the property nodes, all of which are connected to a constant of the State in which I want that works perfectly. My question is that there is another way other than having a bunch of knots of padding property to the top of my structure of the event. Ive read where people had Subvi, which has used references to make this same feature, but is there a way of doing things in the block diagram of my current VI? Thank you!

    Need references of your controls on the front panel, so this can be fast, because you can select more than one, and with a right click you create references.

    I have attached a version LV2010.

    Edit: another review:

    Must be created only once these references. Usually, it's comfortable group all the references in a cluster, use this thread through your entire code. This way you can just ungroup references to the actual location, you have to play with, put them in a table and use the above FOR loop to change their properties...

    Like this:

  • access control using the control panel handle

    Is it possible to access the constant name when I only have the panelHandle of the IUR. The control is part of the different project and panelHandle went from the first

    project for the second project. Second project now need to set the value of the control, but doesn't have access to the panelHandle of the first project.

    TIA

    lvrat,

    There are two ways to detect certain characteristics of a control during execution. Wolfgang and I were suggesting was something like this (code written in memory: there may be some mistakes in there):

    int ctrl, mode, style;

    name char [32];

    'panelHandel' has received another application

    GetPanelAttribute (panelHandle, ATTR_PANEL_FIRST_CTRL, &ctrl);)

    all in (ctrl) {}

    through the constant name

    GetCtrlAttribute (panelhandle, ctrl, ATTR_CONSTANT_NAME, name);

    If (! strcmp (name, "NUMERIC1")) {}

    }

    Else if (! strcmp (name, "NUMERIC2") {})

    }

    ALTERNATIVE: other discriminatory features in the

    GetCtrlAttribute (panelHandle, ctrl, ATTR_CTRL_STYLE);

    switch (style) {}

    case CTRL_SQUARE_COMMAND_BUTTON:

    case CTRL_SQUARE_COMMAND_BUTTON_LS:

    GetCtrlAttribute (panelHandel, ctrl, ATTR_CTRL_MODE & mode)

    If (mode == VAL_HOT) {}

    do something on the control...

    }

    break;

    by default:

    do nothing

    break;

    }

    Check to see if there are more controls on the Panel

    GetCtrlAttribute (...,..., ATTR_NEXT_CTRL,...);

    }

    A list of control styles can be found here and in userint.h. Here the list of control modes.

    There are many attributes that makes a distinction between controls in a Panel. But doubt principal remains the same: have you tried to access a control from another application through handle Panel CVI?
