Hello rap.

I understand the inconvenience you encountered.

According to the description, you are facing the high use of the disc after you have reinstalled the operating system.

It is possible that some third-party programs that are installed on your system might be in conflict and the origin of the problem.

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Perform a clean boot.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. Check this question in the clean boot state.

  • Palm TX 32 bit Windows 7 Pro of XP Update: use XP mode? Or Win 7?

I'm really good at making fatal mistakes with technology and my Palm is too critical to risk, so I bought a portable 32-bit, Windows 7 pro and XP mode installed.

I've scoured the forums, but all I can find are problems/solutions with 64 bit (which is what scares me in the first place, of course).

First of all, I should install in XP mode?  Or install Win 7 on a 32-bit computer will go smoothly?

Secondly, can I use my original disc with the 4.2 version of Palm Desktop?

Finally, for my peace of mind, you kindly check my checklist of errors, omissions or dangerous areas.

    (1) synch the device from Palm desktop

    (2) backup on my SDCard with NVBackup

    (3) open the XP mode - or do not open XP mode as you recommend

    (4) install Palm desktop (disc or download that recommend)

    (5) enter the same username as on the device / xp computers

    (6) change in Organizer substitute Office

    (7) with the sync cable. Make tea. Be calm.

    (8) check data on handheld and the desktop to find errors.

    (9) when somewhat confident everything goes well, return led to synchronize except for stays of backup as handheld overrides desktop. (not sure why, but it's the default I guess.)

    Thank you

    Off the hook

    SUCCESS!

Thank you all very much. I danced around the kitchen.

I had a few problems, and that means a question.

After installation I plugged the cable in and upward jumped a box "Installing the driver software" telling me "software device driver was not installed successfully. I thought it was over, and that's my question. What does that mean? Because the next thing that happened, thought I had nothing to lose but hope, I tried a synch, and incredibly, it worked. I made a small change in the calendar and it synchronized at the back of the unit.

He also tells me there is a problem with the quick installation then took me to do nothing.

In addition, in case it might help someone, disable UAC in Win7 is slightly different from that of Vista. Go to "edit your user account settings" and set the cursor to "Don't warn.  At this time, I went on the internet for security. And it's a little annoying, because after that you have to restart the computer. And when HotSync is done, you go back to the control panel and restart and then restart.

WyreNut, I smiled when I saw your post.  I always assumes that the volunteers on the technology forums (which, in a just world, would be paid buckets of moolah for their help) are early and that you would be all Win8 (and the curse, I suppose). But I guess that help you here because if something works (such as Palm) why spend.

I kudo has you all and would buy you champagne if I could.

    Confused, but less.

    Hi JamBoard,

It is possible, that you need to install the drivers for the controller.  You can get them from here:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/Xbox-360-controller-for-Windows#support

However, if it's not too hot, it could be a real hardware problem.

  • What is the right configuration of the port for my Photosmart C6180 using 32-bit Windows 8?

    Hi all

I have a HP Photosmart C6180. I recently changed to Windows 8 32-bit. I downloaded the HP Windows 8 drivers, but I still have problems with the printer. In Control Panel, the printer status says "error".  I think that it could possibly be a problem with the printer port settings. So, my question is, what is the right configuration of the port for my Photosmart C6180 using 32-bit Windows 8?

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, JoeRocket

    Hello JoeRocket,

  • Can I install Windows 8 Pro 64 bits with a 32-bit Windows 8 Pro license key?

I get confused! If they are the same, then eveyone would buy a 32-bit and then install 64-bit... is it true? Your response is truly appreciated.

Yes, the product key works independently of the architecture (32- or 64-bit), so you can use the same product key used to activate 32-bit Windows 8 Pro with 64-bit Windows 8 Pro.

  • XPS 400 can not read a disk of 64-Bit Windows 10

I have a XPS 400 desktop computer that currently runs the 32-bit version of the operating system Windows 10 Insider Preview. In control panel - system, it is said that my XPS 400 has a "32-bit operating system, x 64 processor system" but when I put a new Windows 10 64-bit in the CD player and have it start and wait until he asks me to press any button in the BIOS it loads the logo and after a while the CD Player stops just and nothing beyond that happens. In the BIOS I tried to make F12 - boot to SATA drive but when I do try to read and then it just starts as he normally does, ignoring completely the disc. How can I have my XPS 400 read and install 10 64 - bit disk windows? Or y at - it another way, I could have run 10 64-bit Windows?

64 bit versions of windows 8.1 and 10 require more than NX to work. Another question, I found with of MANY older valleys, it's that the area code is not on the DVD. What causes some localized versions of DVD not working but CD XP works because there is no CD region code. In the case of the XPS400 you have need a pentium D 900 series CPU Pressler and the latest version of the bios.  915 to 960 will work as long as you have the copper heat sink. XPS 400/Dimension 9150 does not support the newer processors like the Intel Core 2 duo processor.  There is really no point to the 64-bit version of windows on a XPS 400 due to limitations of the system ram. Commercial versions of windows 8.1 family or Pro come with support 32-bit and 64-bit so this isn't a problem.

Dell Dimension system BIOS A07 see details

    XP051A07. EXE Windows/DOS (514 KB)

The Pressler 900 vs Smithfield 800 series series can do LAHF and SAHF as well as CMPExchange16 which means that it works very well if you have a Pentium 900 series D.  This means that you can run 64-bit windows 7, 8 or 10 very well.  RAM can be used Max will always be 3.25 GB regardless of cpu or os to 64-bit or not.  There is a limit of chipset.   The Precision 380 is better than the XPS400 due to support new chipsets and 8 GB of ram.

I got my 8.1 upgrade pro at the time where it was $ 38.  If they want to they should buy immediately because there won't be any in the future.

WINDOWS 8.0 is depricated and 8.1 framed Purple House and blue box 8.1 pro are available throughout the retail options.

After July 31, 2015 8.x can be gone for always as well be replaced by Windows 10.

Pentium D 915 are very cheap as copper heat sink.  The license of ram and windows are expensive parts.  You update the bios to the last can change the CPU and replace the thermal compound.  The Dual core pentium D is an improvement.

  • High disk use and high memory usage

It seems that my friend helped clean up my laptop I will still have a lot of problems. First my laptop becomes the high memory use. What? The system apparently when I look at the Task Manager. Here's what it looks like:

I don't know how to solve this problem. Keep looking it towards the top online and I haven't found anything that helps. I'm not a tech somehow so when you say something like "have you checked your drivers? I will say that I have no idea how to do that.  As you can see the the Service Host: Local System has a lot of memory for some reason use any. And the system takes a lot of space for some strange reason.  He is also windows modules Installer. I can't update my laptop Windows 8 for Windows 8.1

Another problem is that I can't get my cell trusts. I go on Internet explore and copy and paste the link that appears on the screen in another tab on him and he always says the same thing 'Open in Internet Explorer' and it still doesn't work!

I should also mention that my friend had to do a system restore to clean all the problems I had before. Who has worked for the most part. Since my laptop was running slower and he's still but a little better.

    Any help would be great.

  • Migration Profiles Windows XP using MDT to Windows 7 Pro.

I run a migration to Windows XP Pro computers to Windows 7 Pro using the MDT deployment tool. The environment consists of two subdomains, one used for normal users [USER.company.org] and a high for HER [INFOSYS.company.org]. When you attempt to migrate users that were migrated using the credentials of INFOSYS on would be 100% locked out in AD. We determined is not a software, printers or the mappings that are at the origin of the lockout. The user would constantly be locked until the profile was successfully deleted. Then the user would connect, allowing the profile in Windows 7 to be re-created.

When we use the level USER account, migration, we will not experience this problem most of the time. Here's the process we run.

During the process, use us the MDT and USMT migration both profiles and build the new system. The whole process is done using a USB 3.0 drive.

1 tech logs on to the Windows XP-based computer by using the INFOSYS account.

2 tech makes their local administrator account USER.

    3. newspapers outside account INFOSYS tech and logs on to the USER account.

4 tech helping process the USMT to save profile on USB.

    5. once the backup of the USMT is completed, tech restarts computer on USB to begin the process of MDT and LTI.

    6. computer full format and the installation of Windows 7 Pro and any software checked during the LTI process.

7 once installation is complete, restart the computer Windows 7 and the migration of users from the old Windows XP profiles on the Windows 7 computer starts. Once complete, the computer restarts.

    8. at this point, the migration is complete.

Anyone can log on and use the computer at this point.

Currently, we are beginning to see the other AD lockout, no matter what account migrates. Yet once, only a reconstruction of full profile solves this problem.

Everyone knows about this problem during their migration? And if so, how do solve you this problem?

  • Impression on RDP 32 bit 64 bit Windows 7 pro host client

Wow, I read about 400 posts on mixed 64/32 bit print DRP and either they cover the desktop remotely on Windows servers or printing on 64-bit clients. I have 2 computers to Windows 7. 1 is a 7 Pro 64-bit and the other is a 7 Home Premium 32-bit. We use the 32-bit as a RDP client. The 64-bit (Win 7 Pro) host, does not show the 32-bit printers as redirected.  Can I add 32-bit drivers in Windows 7 pro and he will then provide the client redirects? If so, how? I thought I might be able to add printers as a local port on the host of the SPR, but the actions of the customer appear not to be available through the network device "tsclient".
