  I'm in an online class.  The subpoena calls for us to use the Print Screen or tool captures Windows 7.  My computer is Windows XP.  Where can I find these tools in Windows XP?

  XP is not a cutting tool. You will need to use the print screen button with MS Paint which is a real PITA bread. I suggest you download one of these freeware tools and make life more simple.

• How to fix - error 80073712 - windows component store is corrupt - after correctly installing the system update tool for windows vista.

  I get the error code 80073712 - windows component store is damaged - when you try to install windows vista SP1 and also the Cumulative security update to explore 7 (KB978207). Fails every time.

  I followed the advice and installed the system update tool for Windows Vista (does this twice), but still cannot download and install updates - get error 80073712.

  How can I fix the corrupted windows components store?

  CMDC,
  If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows.  You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool.  If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

  You don't say which edition of Vista you are using.

  Vista Home Basic Edition does not have the "snipping tool".

  If you have a different edition of Vista, read the information on how to find it:

  If you have one version of Vista, other than the Home Basic edition, you already have the Snipping Tool screenshot utility: click on Start, all programs, accessories, Snipping Tool. If you do not see here, it cannot be activated. Go to the Control Panel and open programs and features (you may need to click programs first). In the left pane, click Windows turn features on or off. If necessary, click continue when you are prompted by user account control. Scroll down the list of features, check the box next to Tablet PC optional components, and click OK. Marketing of these features gives you not only the Snipping Tool, but also input panel Tablet PC, Windows Journal and other features related to the stylus.

• Tool capture Windows 7 crashes ONLY when capture IE 10

  I have a problem where the tool captures Windows 7 won't "snip" anything in IE 10.  I cut EVERYTHING else--no matter what program, anywhere, any time, but not IE.  When I draw the area being cut in the window of IE and then let go of the left mouse button, nothing happens.  Stays gray screen with the exception of the region I want to snip that is no more gray.  If I click fast enough and fast enough on the IE window, I get a popup asking if I want to wait or kill the program (cutting tool).  I am able to click on the option to see more details.  In details it is said the cutting tool is waiting on csrss.exe.

  Strangely, if I don't do anything, "hanging program" error window just disappears.  At that point that my PC crashes sometimes where I need to be able to cycle it.  Other times nothing happens and the screen is gray and I am able to click on the Start button and restart.

  I tried to turn the windows tablet pc feature.  I've installed CCLeaner and cleaned the PC.  However, nothing solves the problem.  In case it mattes I run Office with Lync 2013 2013 on my machine.

  Any ideas what else to do to solve this problem?

  I reduced the problem until 2013 Lync.  If Lync 2013 is not loaded snipping tool works very well.  If I let Lync load at startup of the cutting tool crashes.  I'll uninstall Lync then and reinstall to see if that helps.

  What version of Win7? Starter and I think that basic home edition does not include the capture tool.
   
  Type cutting tool in the start menu. Search box. If you find, create a shortcut on the desktop.

  I found an official document from Toshiba in this forum that says Satellite M70 laptops are supported and the Vista drivers will be published. When? We'll see

  Windows Vista uses a clean power options, and these options are very similar to Toshiba power saver.

  I'm a bit puzzled by the crop tool in CS4 compared with CS2 and earlier versions.  The most irritating feature is the following: in CS4, the marquis does not lock the edge of the image; Instead, it easily moves outside the file area, capturing extra blank canvas.  The result is a lot of waste of time zooming in and fixing the problem after the fact by the projection of splinters of canvas of extra unwanted.  Is there a way set a preference so that the marquis of trimming stops at the edge of the file, as it did in earlier versions of photoshop?

  If you need an office application then I recommend OpenOffice.
  It s software open source similar to MS Office and you can use and download it for free!

  The issue of your pain.
  The painting is part of the Windows OS. It of not possible to uninstall it.
  File paint.exe is placed in the folder c:\windows\system32\

  There seems to be an error of operating system... maybe the system is confused upward...
  try to clean the operating system using the CCleaner...
  It cleans the registry and maybe it helps to get rid of this error...

  otherwise, you need to reinstall the operating system...

  I assume you are using the command: SnippingTool or SnippingTool.exe, just like you would use mspaint. but it's giving you 2 error; It's a matter of Windows than a LabVIEW, you can try to use the command:

   

  C:\Windows\Sysnative\snippingtool.exe;

  It worked for me; I found this info in the KB below.
