Toshiba 46TL938: some annoying movement artifacts

Hello

I bought a 46tl938 and I noticed a few annoying artifacts around a subject in motion on a static background. Is this a known problem and is there a solution or factory default?

Thank you

In my opinion it of difficult to say if she s LCD panel problem or maybe a low quality signal or maybe issue of display settings.

In my opinion, you should test the TV as part of a Blue-ray player.
Watching a Blu - ray movie and check the picture in HD quality.

Light sensor: off
Color temp: normal

picture mode: standard
Panel brightness: + 22
contrast: 85
brightness: + 20
color:-13
color: on
automatic light sensor: WE
dyn. backlight: low
Black / White: medium
Resolution +: on
Clear Scan: standard

In addition, make sure that you are using the latest firmware

    Hello

I tried to play a movie from the USB on my Toshiba 46TL938 yesterday.
Unfortunately the reading has had a lot of opera and probably I didn't see anywhere near
    playback 24 p.

On my TV, I have the clearscan completely off, but it seems that the toshiba media player uses its own default settings. On my computer, the movie played without any problems, so the file was quite well.

I finally connect my computer to my TV to watch the movie decently.

You have any suggestions on this subject?
I could not find any additional setting that would solve this problem.

The manual provides information on the use of TV Media Player (page 65)

During playback, you can adjust the functions of the menu of the image and sound in the Quick Menu
But these elements are different depending on the current mode.
Play movie USB the quick menu does not contain the same elements as when watching a TV show or of the external entry-stop or one-stop 3D photos

  • Toshiba 46TL938: 3D playback choppy when PC to TV via HDMI

    Hello

I have a very specific problem and cannot identify exactly what the problem maybe. In short:

-J' have a 3D film which is read by VLC but also KMplayer.
-On my monitor 23 "1080 p via HDMI, the film plays well enough and smooth.
-On my Toshiba 46 "HDTV playback on 3D sometimes accused, exactly the same thing when a computer cannot handle the load and the shifts on video playback.
-J' tried to put the film on a USB and connect it to the TV. Then playback of 3D on the TV was really smooth without any lag.

If the facts are executives work well on a HD 23 "(playedback with VLC and KMplayer) monitor, but also run smooth on my laptops screen."
Fact is also that the same movie plays smooth a Flash USB plugged into the TV.

I tried with another movie (no 3D) listen to from my laptop via HDMI on my TV. This worked pretty well without any lag.

    (1) so my main question is if the movie is not correct, why play it right back via a USB, but not through my laptop.

    (2) in addition, if my computers vga portable would be unable to handle the 1080, I guess that reading also lag on my monitor 23 "which is also 1080.

I have really no idea if it's the movie, TV or vga that has the problem.
    Any suggestion would be great.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I put t thinks that his TV show.
First of all using USB flash memory, the movie is managed by Toshiba media player and second the data does not need to be send via cable.

The notebook movie streaming, you send the signal to the TV via an HDMI cable. 3D movies contains a lot of data and this could affect the playback quality streaming of data from one device to another.

So if you have seen some interruptions during playback, it could be linked to the HDMI cable.
If your HDMI connection is capable of 1080 p and/or your TV is capable of greater than 50 Hz refresh rate, need you a cable of category 2. Conventional HDMI/DVI cable may not work properly with this model. Also try a short cable (1.5 to 2 m)

You should also consult the user manual * 88.* page
The HDMI on the TV inputs accept the VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA and SXGA signal formats that are
as shown in table _page 88_ VESA-compatible.

Since some PC and HDMI or DVI input signals of devices which differ of the resolution and frequency that are described in the table, the following phenomenon can happen; _incorrect display, detection of fake format, failure of position photo, blur or judder_.

In this case, set the monitor output on your PC, HDMI or DVI device to conform to a signal in the table you will find in the user manual.

  • Toshiba L4353 39 "- play movie USB problem"

    Hello

I recently bought a Toshiba L4353 39 "smart tv, reading the usb works, but I continue to have this very annoying problem.

basically I view a video file and all right and then no reason playback of the file stops and I'm back on the screen of my content, this has happened on several films and have tried a few different HDD so I can only assume it's the TV, help?

    Thanks, Martin

Have you tried playing movies using a USB HDD or USB flash memory key?

This question seems to play films supporting the different file format?

  • BDX3200KB 3D Blu - ray player is not compatible with some 3D movies

    I have a BDX3200 3D blu - ray player that is connect to a TV Toshiba 47VL863 3D.
I noticed recently that a number of 3D movies do not play correctly.

Most affected seem to be 'The Hobbit' and 'A turtles Tale', where the 3D movement flickers badly and there is a visible effect "turn the page" on the passage from one scene to the other.
What makes the two not watchable films.

To try to solve the problem I have downloaded the latest firmware for the TV and blu - ray player, but unfortunately the problem has not disappeared. If, however, I play the films concerned on the same TV, but using a PS3, they play perfectly, leading me to believe the BDX3200 is the source of the problem.

I wrote to Toshiba support, but have had no response.

Is anyone else having the same problem? Is there a fix out there I don't know?
I would like to know what Toshiba have to say about this issue?

    Hello

I think you can try to update the firmware and hope that this would solve the problems by playing the other Blu - ray movies.

It seems that the latest firmware for this player BD BDX3200KB is * v25.*
You should be able to find it here:

  • Toshiba 46TL938 - video stops always at 2 h 6 min

HI, I have some problems with 46TL938, the version of the firmware 7.0.21.6.1 Sep 13, 2012 - 65.8.19.3, MBOOT version 00646225

    1. all mp4 (ie. x 264 codec) files are stopped at 02:06:27 when played by USB or network server. I tried different videos, different formats etc little question takes place only during playback of mp4 files. In the case of files mkv with x 264 codec issue does not occure. Any chance to solve this?

    2. in the playback of a video from a server network (in this case, Win7), subtitles are not visible. If the same video & subtitle are played from USB, everything is ok.

    Hello

I m not very well why this happens, but the TV supports the MP4 format.

VIDEO MP4 files must have an mp4 or m4v extension and supported video codecs are:
    H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC)
    Part12 MPEG-4: 14

    Supported audio codecs mp4 are:
    MPEG-1/2 Layer 3
    MPEG-2/4 LC - AAC
    MPEG-4 HE - AAC

AUDIO MP4 files must have a .m4a extension and the audio codec supported is:
    MPEG-2/4 LC - AAC

So maybe the files are not encoded properly. You check this box.

  • I'm having some annoying problems with my PC, can someone help?

It is a long story, but he's going to explain things, I hope.
I use Windows Vista Ultimate x 64 Service Pack 2
I had not updated my PC since the end of March, and I decided to run some updates yesterday, may 5. There were 34 items to install, and I've selected all and put them to download. They are all downloaded correctly and when installing, document 6 all about (I don't see which element it is) the screen suddenly froze and entirely turned a shade of red. Reply, no keyboard, no mouse, nothing. By force, I turned off my laptop and rebooted the PC. I said start normally, and he did, if it took a while, and then I saw "Configuring updates step 1 of 3" on the screen, normally what you would see to shut down the PC after the updates installed. I left the PC for a while while he has updated that I was doing other things, when I came back it was up and running very well. I put all other updates installed, 32 items and left. He finished, I rebooted, it starts very well and very well, and then things seemed to agree.

The PROBLEM now is that whenever I open my 'Vidéos' folder, I get an error saying "COM Surrogate has stopped responding", and he asked me would it be close program or check online for a solution and the fence. No other option. He says

    Problem event name: APPCRASH

report number. I could not find "quartz.dll" in a search of my hard drive to find out what is the cause. Restarting my PC did not help. Research online and closing a window telling me to check the updates, and there is not. Research/closing & closing the result in the same thing: the error comes back once more. Over and over again. No matter how many times I close, the error comes once more. And ONLY in the videos folder. If I get a subfolder of the folder videos (for example, where I store my video projects or AMV who made friends) the problem goes away, but hit the back or high or clicking on "videos" in the above address bar will restart the question. If I say NO 'close' the question will NOT report itself again. Minimize the pop-up and continuing on as normal work, but they are becoming very very annoying to deal with every time I have in this file. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, I had deleted some elements in my recycling bin folder, and when I entered, windows Explorer would crash. NO INTERNET EXPLORER. He asks to restart. I rebooted, back in the trash and another incident occurred. I told him to find a solution online, then I right-click on the Recycle Bin and empty. Since then I have not been able to recreate this issue, but I guess that's part of the same show I have yet, and as such, I have listed here in case where this could help someone understand, deduce the problem or give me a short reinstalled operating system solution, which I don't REALLY want to do.

Quartz.dll belongs to DirectX I think. You can try to install the installation of June 2010, if you have not yet.

Usually, if Windows Explorer / computer / my computer goes down, it may be a file corrupted on the system

My next challenge is to make an astoid belt that moves in an eclipse around a planet.
I can do this without actionscript, but I don't look very nice because you have to swap the depths

I would like to know if this is possible in actionscript. Can someone give me some tip how to start?

  • WiDi does not work on Toshiba 46TL938

    Hey there,

I tried to access the WiDi on this TV, but it does not recognize the laptop.
I also tried to search the laptop to the TV but the 'list of pc' in TV was not available... in gray letters.
We hope to get a response.

    Thanks :)

    Hello

I doubt that the issue of the Intel WiDi is related to this TV.
Everything you can do on this TV is to verify if the Intel WiDi is activated in the menu of TV s.

Press QUICK to open the Quick Menu. Intel Wireless Display and click OK. A prompt appears on the screen. Then, select Yes. Launch the Intel WiDi on your PC software and select scan available adapters. Name of the device Intel WiDi and list of identification will be displayed on the PC screen.
Select TV which you want to connect. Connection will be shown on television.

If you connect your PC to your TV the first a 4-digit code appears on your TV screen. This code must be entered in your computer to authenticate the connection. If authentication has already occurred connected to Intel® Wireless Display. Please wait will appear on the screen. Once the Intel WiDi connection has been completed, the TV screen reflects the content shown on the PC screen.

    _NOTE: _
When Intel WiDi connecting, the PC must have power turned on.
When the InteL WiDi software is active, other applications may not be usable.
Intel WiDi of the TV device name is modifiable by the Intel WiDi software.
If the PC has been idle for a while, the Intel WiDi connection is disconnected automatically.

  • Toshiba 46TL938 connection + Galaxy S3 via DLNA

    Hello

I have trouble these days connecting these two devices via DLNA.
Unfortunately the manual was not enough to help find how it should be configured.

How can I configure and share my content on my Galaxy S3 via DLNA

    Thank you.

Your TV and your phone must be in the same WiFi network.
In addition, if you want to stream data to your TV, the TV must be set as DMR (Renderer DLNA CERTIFIED)
If it s defined as DMR TV can read content in a DMS (Server DLNA CERTIFIED) for example your smartphone.

In the 47 user manual page, you can find an instruction how to perform the installation of Media Renderer

  • Toshiba 46TL938: no noise or interference SCART ext1 and ext2

My tl938 tv 46 has no sound of ext 1 and ext2. I plug in a dvd and a game console and two of them have no sound but the pictureis ok. Sometimes, I listen to a strange sound, like interference. I have the tv about ten months without similar problems. The sound of the tv channels and hdmi saurces is ok.

MPEIZANI, I would say that your cable SCART is the problem, as shown in the manual for the series TL938 both Ext1 and Ext2 as having Audio input capabilities, Ext2 being taken CAR.
What kind of cable SCART use you at the present time, has all pins connected directly through it, or is it a switch "in/out"?
If it has a switch, is it connected the right way around, and it goes on the 'In' setting?

    Just a thought...
