Touch screen, keyboard clicks suddenly went very soft

I have this strange new problem in my 5130 DVP. I used to have a pretty strong STROKE keyboard clicks as I type. All of a sudden this afternoon, keyboard clicks went very soft as I type. Y at - it an adjustment to increase the volume of clicks back to normal? Thank you

By any chance, did you recently applied Windows 8.1 1 update recently? Microsoft has decided to lower the volume of the keyboard with her, apparently after receiving requests to do so, of course, many now want it back to what it was before (or Hey, even better: a low-medium-high option!).

    I got this phone in mid November and it has three keyboard options. The vertical touch screen, slide-out keyboard and keyboard horizontal touchscreen keyboard. I don't know if it's just my phone or what, but when I turn the phone horizontally I don't have a horizontal keyboard. I know they changed need to slide the keyboard in order to obtain a horizontal screen at home. The horizontal keyboard has been eliminated in this same update? If that's the case, then, I am extremely disappointed

    It is certainly not what it is supposed to do. Other than the home screen and the screens of the appeal, it should run horizontally even with the keyboard closed.

  • touch screen keyboard symbols does not properly

    I bought recently an Asus transformer convertible portable book, which features a touchscreen removable "tablet" next to the keyboard. Most of the time I just use the screen without the keyboard as I have the touchscreen keyboard. I have windows 8 is installed.

    The problem is that no matter when try to use the keyboard section and press a key, it acts as a regular keyboard that requires shift for me to press a button to get some symbols. Such as SHIFT, press 1 to get! and 2 to get @ etc.

    This is a problem because there no way for me to 'shift' then that in this section, which means I have no way to use the majority of the symbols, unless I was to give the keyboard, which I won't do. It's the same with the? on the main screen to give me a / instead.

    Someone else has this problem as well? Becomes more and more frustrating.

    I searched for answers, the closest, I had was that it could be the UK keyboard, which is not, as I discovered, I have the English (Canada), I selected when setting up my computer.

    The keyboard I used was the touch keyboard, similar to that on the picture of this Article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/using-touch-keyboard

    I tried also a lot of different things that I could think of to try to make it work, such as the SHIFT key, and then selecting the specific symbol, neither of which worked, moving to the symbols section and pressing one and also hold out the number or symbol that coincides with it.

    Honestly I don't know what happened, but it seemed to have fixed itself after my computer up to date a little after I posted this. which is always strange, because it was updated several times before and the problem remains.

    IM praying that the problem does not return, but I'm not keeping my hopes.

  • Disable on screen keyboard without turning off the touchscreen (regarding the use of Microsoft Word)

    I don't want to turn off the on-screen keyboard.  Whenever I'm in mircosoft word, typing a document, it is upwards.  I use my fingers to scroll and down to my Word document while I work on that.  But if I touch the screen wrong then the on-screen keyboard appears.  It is very stirring.  I want to disable the onscreen keyboard without turning off the touch screen.  How can I do this?

    My question has nothing to do with the signature in my computer.  It has everything to do with me working on documents in Microsoft Word.

  • Disable the touch screen for a laptop Windows 8?

    I have a Dell XPS L702x infamous Ghost by clicking on issues where the touch screen randomly 'clicks' on arbitrary areas of the screen (mine seems to be in the lower right corner, often minimize all my open windows or opening calendar) and through the upgrade to Windows 8, it seems a former N-Trig driver who disappeared I would disable the touch screen. Now, I have no way to disable the touch screen, and while Google suggested release "Use your finger as input device" under the pen and touch, I don't even have this available to UN-click box on!

    So: How can I disable the touch screen on my laptop or y at - it a program that can do for me? I am indifferent in fact using the touchscreen - I'm more concerned with the ability to functionally use my laptop without sporadic clicks on my screen.
    Thank you.

    I had the same problem with XPS 17 my wife.    I needed to restore basic functionality so that disabling the touch screen was acceptable.     However, unlike samie (but like you) I didn't "Use your finger as input" option in the control panel.

    I tried to disable the device N-Trig driver in Device Manager, but the pilot did not appear to have be properly installed (after the upgrade from win7)

    I went on the N-Trig (http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Downloads_Drivers) driver download site and download the new drivers for windows 8 (I have the feeling that they weren't here last week).

    I then when options "Device Manager" on the "Hardware and Sound" page of the control panel.

    In the Device Manager screen, I saw a node N-trig DuoSense digitizers with several below subnode (before dev driver install it there was only one).

    I right mouse button on the element at the top, with a name that ends by "between the roots" and select "disable."

    This touch screen successfully disabled.

    Pity to lose the touch screen, but my wife does not use it and I was in danger of my life, as it was.

  • Select Flex on the on-screen keyboard to type in two input fields

    Hi all, I have a sound internal flex that allows the user to log in using a user name and password, which would finally bring the user to a State of relative in the flex application. Because this application is a touchscreen application, I placed a on screen keyboard within the internal pop upward. However, currently, the keyboard is only capable of development and the type of a given field. I need the keyboard in order to concentrate on the field the user name and password so that the user can type in these two areas. Can anyone help? Attached below is the code and a few screenshots of the app.

    Below the link to the screen is turned I took:

    http://S192.Photobucket.com/albums/Z63/nellehs/?action=view & Current = keyboardandinputfield. jpg

    I agree that aesthetically it would look weird, but I guess that it works if you have tried?

    Somehow, you need a button to call the focus selector. If not, how could it happen?

    Wait a second...

    I have it!

    What if...

    in init().
    passwordField.addEventListener (FocusEvent.FOCUS_IN, pwFocus);

    then
    private void pwFocus(event:FocusEvent):void {}
    loginKeyPad.newFocus (passwordField);
    }

    This will not work if the user can use the touch screen to click in the passwordField text box. A user can click in the box via the touch screen?

    I have a desktop HP omni-27 1057c all-in-one with windows 7, 64-bit. This device can be configured for the touch screen feature 8 windows?

    Hi there kelii... technically, you can configure most of the screens in a touch screen but it is a very vigorous process of the dismantling of the monitor... There are other easy solutions, but they all require you to spend money on 3rd party solutions.

    There is no easy way to do it unfortunately... and there is no driver, which you can download on your PC to set it up if that's what you mean.

  • AiO S40 - touch screen only works on the on-screen keyboard

    Machine has three months - IdeaCentre S40-40, 8.1 Windows, renovated, very few programs installed.

    The touch screen worked until now in each program the way it was assumed. But then the clicking has stopped working. So, only when you click, it does not. You can see on the desktop when you tap on the screen, the gray circle reacts to the amount of pressure on the screen.

    In Internet Explorer, for example, the works of scrolling, resizing (with two fingers) works, but isn't new by clicking on.

    If I open the keyboard on the screen, the keyboard works - you can actually click on the keys, and it does not. Nowhere else in Windows, it doesn't.

    Because I see some responses to touch, I don't think it's a hardware problem.

    I removed HID-touch in Device Manager and rebooted. Same result.

    I have disabled the service of keyboard on screen/touchscreen - same result.

    I reinstalled the driver of keyboard and mouse from Lenovo site - same result.

    I tried to calibrate the screen, but I can not because it does not yet meet the first, click on the cross.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Dear spidey101,

    Thank you for your response.

    Totally forgot to update the BIOS. That solved the problem and now the touchscreen works again without a hitch.

    Thank you once again!

  • HP Photosmart 7515: Touch screen went black

    Printer works very well at the outbreak of the computer,

    but the touch screen went black, permanently.

    No matter how much I press, it stays black.

    I disconnected and reconnected.

    Downloaded a new driver that allows me to trigger the scan of the computer,

    but I can't fax.

    Is this a driver problem, a hardware problem...?  Don't know which firmware is.

    Hi @lenny15,

    Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand the touch screen on your HP Photosmart 7515 is completely black, you are able to print from the computer, but can not access the front control panel.

    I would like that perform you a Hard Reset on the PS 7515:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup because they can cause the printer to lose over time basic functionality).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward. If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

    If after the hard reset, you are still not able to access the Control Panel, I suggest that call you our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html
