  I suggest to delete and reinstall the wireless card.  It can only solve your problem.  Sometimes a small problem has occurred which can be fixed by this solution simply.  If this does not work, you may need to buy a new card or other wireless adapter.

  If you do not need the touch feature you could disable, as follows:

  Press Windows + X logo.
  Select Device Manager from the list.
  Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  Click on the touch screen driver
  Right click and select Disable from the list.

  I have a 1190EA Touchsmart 520. I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows and now the TV tuner stopped working. I've already used Windows Media Center to watch TV. I ran install MCE and windows MCE is unable to find all channels. My TV card is an Avermedia A859.

  I tried everything to fix the problem without success. I suspect that the card is is most recognized in the PC and have tried to find a driver windows 7 or 8 for the card A859. I was not able to locate a driver from the sites, including the Avermedia and HP. The only thing I could find is on the HP site where there is a patch TV card 'channel search fix' for Windows 7. I tried running it, but it returns a "HP not compatitibility" error message during the installation.

  I also tried to install other programs of TV tuner (no windows MCE) to see if these would work. These don't work and I think that they are not detect any signal. Yet once this leads me to think that the TV card needs a driver.

  If anyone can help here it would be really appreciated.

  It will be a little long because I try to give as much detail as possible. I have a desktop HP Touchsmart 520. The other day, I want to run an OS based on Linux from a USB key. I did once before, so I did what I did the last time. I unplugged, take off the back, then removed the hard drive, then plugged the USB key. I was hoping that since I didn't drive hard in, the computer would then operate the stick because of the boot order. He did bring up the screen of the OS, but gave me an error on failure. I turned it off and then return and go to the bios to change the configuration. I found the USB from the menu, but couldn't move, so I tried to disable the first option for the hard drive. I plugged the USB back in, but it does not still work, so I tried to drive hard back. Something happened somewhere in all this, the computer froze, so I tried to hit different buttons to see if I could get an answer, but nothing, so I cut. When I cut back on, I can't no longer to enter the BIOS. The usual HP screen comes up and says press ESC to enter on the start menu, and if I hit him in the first second coming he will take me to a black screen that has my computer on this subject record, starting with the processor type, processor speed, etc. (if I hit any button in a moment the computer hangs on the HP screen). This black screen is as far as I can go and the computer always crashes here, no matter what button I push, but it is said in the lower right corner of the activity for any button I pressed on, for example if I press F2 on the HP screen, it will go to the black screen with my characteristics and in the lower right It will read Diagnostics; If I am pressing F10, it will do as above but read the configuration.   seems that there is a corruption of the bios. First try to make BIOS clear CMOS. Given that I don't return to the top of my media and the model was old enough, I had to buy a whole new pack of system directly from HP recovery disks. I tried to install them several times, but each time that the process of recovery achieved 39% the disk #2 (in 4 total) that breaks down just, and a message appears saying that there is an error 0xe0ef000e. I thought it might be produced because the hard drive is not compatible, but the hard drive is reading for diagnostic tests, so is not the problem. HP support suggested that the problem could be with the discs, but I bought it on the official HP website to make them new. Please let me know what you think the problem might be. Thank you for your time.

  More than likely disk 2 is bad, call HP for a replacement set.

  Thank you for responding to my message asking for additional information. The only way I can see to connect your HP TouchSmart 520-1030 Desktop PC would be the use of a USB HDMI adapter. I am also including the IDT High Definition Audio Driver Update for your computer, the USB connection will not have the same sound quality and you want to make sure that you have up-to-date drivers to get the best sound, you can leave the connection.

Rember you computer is still under warranty if something needs fixing support Direct HP will fix it. So contact them back with the results of computers.   I own a HP TouchSmart 520. Today my wireless keyboard has stopped working. The mouse works perfectly, titles like a charm, but the keyboard won't be any type. I tried to change the batteries and turn the computer (because the keyboard is supposed to automatically synchronize to start the computer). Neither have worked, so I looked on the HP Forums Web solution.

  I found useful information wonderfully. Apparently, my keyboard needs a manual synchronization. After searching how to do this, I have found information indicating that I should 'hold the sync button on the mouse/keyboard located on the waterfront of [my] PC. ' I've searched high and low and have not yet found such a button.

  There are a few suggestions indicating I should remove my receiver located at the back of my computer and then reinsert and see if that helps. I find the receiver the most, but it is blocked from my reach by the cover at the back of the computer. I tried to remove this cover, but it does not work. There is a small rectangle in the middle of the sign with a symbol of locking over him. I don't know what that means, but regular pencils/paper/cardboard rectangles do not work. I know that my computer came NOT with a sort of plastic key, so now I am at a loss. Help, please...

  It's actually more the dongle's problem, actually. I got my keyboard works by transferring the dongle on USB port, but I'm afraid it is not the right solution, because now my computer is unable to detect as much of as a WiFi signal.
