• Dell Optiplex 320 yet an another Question of Ram

  Hello

  I have an Optiplex 320 and it seems do not like this kind of ram. I tried this and several other modules I had to hang out with the exact specifications of same. My question is, what makes Hynix so special that it works with the optiplex? Is there something owner seeks the mobo?

  With the Hynix ram the machine starts fine, no problem. With the Kingston (and other brands) of PC2-5300 it don't POST and gives me the 1-3-2 beep code.

  Here's what I did to solve problems. (I've got 2 identical Optiplex 320 I did this troubleshooting)

  • Reinstall and reinstall the modules of resettlement
  • Install the latest version of the BIOS. (ending in12)
  • Delete and remove cmos
  • I tried PC2-6400
  • CUSS at it
  • Deleted graphics card
  • Attempt 1 module at a time

  Basically, what is the difference?

  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  Yes, the DRAM is can be a huge pain for materials developers.  "Today", most hardware designers use models tested beforehand and DRAM pre-approved and layouts.  But not all of us have this chance.  There are times when custom DRAM controllers are needed.  And someone has to do the designs which use a lot of other hardware engineers. :-)  Then, the DRAM manufacturers provide detailed hardware simulation models and precise signal integrity models.

  I'm a fan of Intel, not so much a fan of the DRAM factory.  So I look at it, it's basically like this, that the Intel chips have good tolerances.  This is the DRAM chips which vary tolerances and more.

  Also, is the "fastest" DRAM * not * always work in a system that isn't spec'd for it.  The fastest DRAM also "can carry data more quickly after the clock (one of many waiting time parameters).  So in this case, it depends if that specific DRAM contains the data a bit longer (this fine and in spec), or this memory controller specific Intel is able to work with data held not valid so that requires the Intel specification.

  Also, voltage, temperature, aging, all come into play in the electronics of the real life and tolerances.
  Then, you can see why some people say "XYZ" works in _my_ system.  But, who can * not * always be the case with each system.  It can work in 90% of the systems, and then these 10% are screwed.  So this is why * I * have different opinions on which suggests improvements.
  * I * don't want these 10%, 20%, 70%, either, to screw.

  I see the Corsair Memory recommended as work for? ~ 99.99%? of the people.  So, maybe 1 in 10,000 will be out of luck trying the upgrade?
  My _guess_ is that Dell has between a 5-sigma and sigma-6 rates of their PC and max upgrades memory failure.

• Need help with Custom Field Layout - getting wirer height value

  In the BB Simulator, I get a strange value placed in in my field layout() method custom. The width is 320, which is correct, but the height is 1073741823 and it takes 240 or less. In this test, my custom field is the only field in the Manager, so I expect to 240.

  I tried two different simulators - BB curve and the 8800. I use JDE 4.5.0 in Eclipse 3.4.1. This is the code for my method of layout:

  I'm upgrading my custom field in a VerticalField Manager with the following attributes:

  | VerticalFieldManager.FIELD_HCENTER | VerticalFieldManager.FIELD_VCENTER);

  Is this a bug in the Simulator, or I understand the API correctly? Is there a way to 'reset' the Simulator - I tried to get out of Eclipse and restart Windows, but I always get the same value.

  A VerticalFieldManager comes, I think, with default VERTICAL_SCROLL.  If you do not want to scroll through this particular Manager, add VerticalFieldManager.NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL to your forests of style and it will be laid out with only the height and the actual width.

  Also, since you setExtent() by yourself, USE_ALL_HEIGHT and USE_ALL_WIDTH are redundant, I think.

  Take a look at 320 to layout.css. There is a hook closing missing.

  As said, other browsers are a little more forgiving than IE.

  When we choose to publish size 1024 x 768 iPad we can FORCE it work on Android devices. There is a MAJOR problem with other layouts. For example, when I publish only a 1024 x 768 it works very well on Android tablets, iPads, but does NOT appear on the iPhone or iPodTouch. Once I created a 480 x 320 it shows on the iPodTouch, but also then overrides the Android Tablet and shows an element that is far too small, it SHOULD show the 1024 x 768 and NOT the 480 x 320.

  The way I think it should work, it is simply to be able to create a 1024 x 768 and force it on each device. If I create a 480 x 320 for the iPod Touch, I don't want to appear on the Android tablet. There should be a way to control this. The problem is that once I created the 480 x 320, the Android Tablet decides to show instead of 1024 x 768, which looked very good.

  Why is this feature important for you?

  Because it is implied by the product as a feature and seems like a really important thing to have. DPS is awesome it makes my day, but I think that many of us need to be a little more intelligent.

• Issue import layout with Folio Builder Alternative

  Test of the Alternative layout works in InDesign CS6 right now and I created 4 Alternative Layouts (is this layout 1 and 3 Alternative Layouts?). The Alternative layouts, I created are:

  iPad 3 (2048 x 1536)

  iPad 2 (1024 x 768)

  iPhone 4S (960 x 640)

  iPhone 3 (480 x 320)

  Everything works fine in InDesign. Problem is when I try to import on DPS with the Panel Builder Folio. I get the following error:

  See attached screenshot. Anyone else see this problem?

  

  When you create a document with alternative presentations, you cannot use Import at the moment. Use the Add button.

• Layout of fixed landscape?

  According to the update of the new version of author iBooks info, it should be now able to produce fixed also the books of landscape. I took the 'empty' model of landscape, but when I saw my book on my ipad, there can be no fixed turns as previously.

  PLS, how to FIX the layout in landscape here? Thank you much for the help!

• How to record a Finder window layout?

  I work as a composer at an animation studio - our workflow is to make the files locally and duplicate and then the locations of the different folders on the server. Every morning, I've established a table of records of specific sizes to speed up my work flow. I want to be able to save this arrangement of the Finder Windows to save me from this manually every morning, but when I boot, Finder uses by default no windows rather than remember my previous layout. Is it possible to save a Finder window put in page?

  DevPixelsPerPx is - 1.0 by default, which causes Firefox to scale with the parameter of the BONE, which is perfectly fine. The problem is that it causes also open image files and especially the zoom level, nationwide also identical to the user interface. A zoom level is adapted to the screen, the other is native. (One is a magnifying glass with a '+', the other a '-'.) Or rather, the other * should * be native, but in practice, it is not native, is climbed by the setting of the BONE, making it as arbitrary and fuzzy like any other level of zoom, which defeats the whole point and does not allow access to a native scaling in any reasonable way.

  If you want to experiment, here is something you can try, a bookmarklet that inserts a 'Native' button on the page. It takes into account your level of "net" zoom current and reduced the image natural dimensions.

• I'm looking for a theme of book with the right combination of text and photo layout.

  I'm doing a book project I have Photos for Mac. I would like to include text, but then discovered that some themes have not; the I took has only pages full of text. Another is, but offered just 3 photos on each page, in strange layouts.

  The main problem is that when I pick I see nothing other than the cover. I have to build the project to see what I get. Is there another way to see them, or choose one based on preferences?

  And when did things become so shitty? I have created a book in iPhoto, and it was really easy.

  Mostly by trial and error.  What I did is create a test with a few photos with the first theme of book available.  I then he reproduced several times and changed the theme to one of the others.  I now have a test for each of the themes book.

  

  When I want to create a new book with a particular theme I duplicate the test book, rename it and use it.

  There is something generally wishing to each of the book themes: features and Photo Book Formats.  If descriptions are insufficient, so trial and error described above will be necessary.
