Transcoding AVCHD to highest resolution?

I work with files (extension MTS) Panasonic AVCHD to a c-130 Hercules aircraft. I prepare a large project where I will need to prepare hundreds of clips with DVE and compositing prior to installation in the final video. It is more that I think that nesting PP was really designed to manage, so I think to each processing sequence and export the results to a workfile for this clip. I'm going to do my editing of the workfiles and continue from there.

I am concerned about the loss of quality with the extra layer of rendering (raw images-> workfile-> Assembly edit). So here's my question: what would be the format of minutes of best quality for my workfiles? Ideally, I would like to find something of absolutely no loss. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  • Qosmio G50 - 12 K - LCD is strongest at the highest resolution

    Hello!

    I bought Toshiba G50 - 12K and I have the first problem. LCD screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, and on it, everything is very nice and very strong. But when I would use any other screen resolution isn't very nice. So, I have the question:

    1. it is normal that the screen it is usable only in fullHD resolution?
    2. I may have my instaled as standard pnp monitor lcd is all drivers for this lcd? I have not found anything on the site of thoshiba.
    3. maybe graphics card never have pilots? I changed from the toshiba site.
    Maybe other ideas.

    Best regards

    Hello

    Don t worry buddy, that's normal! :)

    All LCD monitors have only a very good image quality and a high sharpness on the highest resolution of the screen, in your case, 1920 x 1080. All other resolutions are not very clear due a hardware limitation of this technology to monitor. So, I can recommend this Wikipedia article:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/LCD

    I think that this says something and so you n t need another monitor or graphics card driver.

    Welcome them

  • Display of Windows Vista, the icons and all THE GRAPHICS suddenly pixelated, appear low quality at the highest resolution and colors

    Please help, out of nowhere on my screen - background, all icons, all graphics (including the Explorer and other programs) have become rough and pixelated and seem very low qualty even if my display is set to the highest resolution management settings and color. I've not been able to find a way to restore and have no idea why it is doing this in the first place. It's really bothering me, it's hard to read (text appears fuzzy and broken up, not smooth and sharp, icons have white or another pixelation around them and do not have the 'look of glass'.) I was wondering if one of the old games my children changed my settings somewhere but I've lived every control panel I find and have not been able to correct the problem.  Even the buttons (back, forward, refresh, etc.) in Explorer have bad pixelation. That's happened? Help! :) Thank you

    I would also update the drivers, firmware or software for your monitor at the same time.  Also, if you have another monitor, swap them to see if the problem goes away or moves - then we can pretty much reduce the question to the screen and not the video card (and if the updated drivers do not resolve this problem, then it's a hardware problem and you can either take a workshop of computer service repair or simply a replacement of purchase screen.)

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Any advantage to transcode AVCHD P2?

    I'm editing Panasonic AVCHD images from a camcorder in PP CS6 AC130. PP seem to handle AVCHD without any problems, other than a bug in a hover scouring. However, I have Panasonic utility for converting AVCHD P2 footage. It is a relic of a time when NLE couldn't import AVCHD video directly.

    Here's my question: is there an advantage to transcode AVCHD P2 before opening the images in PP? Panasonic indicates that the converter is lossless, so I think that there might be some advantage to decompress before boarding in PP. The most obvious conversion would cost larger file on my hard drive. Are there benefits which would offset this cost? Thank you.

    Unless you encounter the problems described in

    this document about the known bug of AVCHD in CS6

    I would not transcode anything... just edit in native mode.

    Panasonic indicates that the converter is lossless,

    so I think there might be some advantages

    Uncompressing before loading in PP.

    Which would be better described as relative to thecompression.

    If you are prone to transcode your media before installation.

    I would recommend using one of these codecs instead:

  • What is the best way of transcoding AVCHD high-quality archive?

    I have a bunch of images of different events on a SD card and want to ingest them in different folders by event. What format and preset should I use to ingest these AVCHD files? I use a PC and to maintain the best possible quality for long term storage. Thank you.

    UH... Just transfer the files instead of transcoding them. The files directly from the cam usually are the highest quality you can get.
    You could transcode DNXHD or ProRes depending on your operating system, but there will be no increase in quality.

  • Qosmio X 870-F0086 - supported highest resolution via HDMI?

    Hello

    I have one of these, Toshiba Qosmio X 870 - F0086

    http://www.toshibamea.com/ComputerProduct/4/Qosmio_X870-F0086/52569?PageID=4

    I currently run an external monitor connected via HDMI with a resolution of 1920 x 1200

    I would like to know if this laptop supports resolutions higher via HDMI? 2560 x 1440, that's what I'm asking.

    Please can someone help.

    Kind regards
    T

    Hello

    External resolution mainly depends on the graphics chip.
    The external support resolution max is: * 2048 x 1536 * (via the VGA Port)
    The HDMI-CEC output port provides the 1080 p max signal

  • Achieve the highest resolution of the camera

    Hi all, I am developing an application that uses the class of the camera to capture images.

    I use this code

    Initialization

    Camera = Camera.getCamera("0");
    camera.setQuality (0, 100);
    camera.setMode (width, height, fps);
    video = new Video (width, height);
    addChild (video);

    captures some

    var snapshotBitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData (camera.width, camera.height);
    snapshotBitmapData.draw (video);

    The problem is that I can't reach the 'true' resolution of the camera with this code, I can't get the resolution of the height and the width of the camera.

    Everyone please? Thanks a bunch

    You don't want to use the native camera?

  • Gradients/Custom forms displays do not properly on the highest resolution

    I wonder if anyone can find this problem for me, in a sweet open Adobe photoshop in my course of resolution (1680 x 1050) all gradients and shapes appear the same. If I reset gradients or forms through the > menu... they are all always appear the same.

    adobe1.png

    I choose a gradient randomly and im able to use it (i.e. they are not all yellow to white). Now if I change my resolution to the next level, they all display correctly...

    adobe2.png

    and if I don't close photoshop I can return to my higher resolution, and they all appear very well...

    adobe3.png

    It is also the same, no matter if I choose 16-bit or 32-bit color quality. I don't know when this started happening, but it is not always like that. I did a reinstall (+ uninstall to remove the data on request), and im still having the same problem.

    Anyone else having similar problems or a fix?

    Almost certainly a graphics driver issue (he thinks he can be cached previews, but doing upwards) - we've seen similar problems in the past.

    Update your video card driver (and if you just updated, you may need to roll back).

  • Qosmio G40-108: problem with the highest starange display resolution

    I just had mine but on its highest resolution all Web pages have these 11 blocks rectangular semi, barely visible, only the bottom, each about an inch long, is this normal and should I send it to the object of an investigation?

    Hello

    It is very nice to hear that you already have the new Qosmio notebook. I can't say much about your problem because without a screenshot, it is not easy to understand what you mean exactly. On my Qosmio G30 (with the same HD resolution) I have no problem at all. Because of this I can't really understand what the problem is here.

    If possible send a link where we can see what it looks like. Your description is not enough.
    BTW: have you noticed that on web pages only?

  • Maximum screen resolution of Tecra A2

    Hi, can someone let me know how to increase the sceen on Tecra A2 above 1024 x 768 Res? Also the quality is not very good, as pixelated and DVD movies appear a little grainy.

    Any ideas?

    Hi David

    You can change the settings in the display properties, but AFAIK 1024 x 768 is the highest resolution that is supported on this device.
    However, you can go to:
    Display the advanced properties Intl Extreme graphic chart properties.
    In the notebook section, you can try changing the area of the screen.
    But I think that it is a more stable value.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A200 - PSAF6A Vista: HDMI video resolution problem

    Hello

    Bought a Toshiba Satellite A200 recently, with a HD2600. Because I can't find an APA Help Forum, I hope someone can help me here.

    I have the following problem.
    I use another manufacturer AL2216W (the only available driver is for XP, which I installed it on Vista Ultimate without any problems) widescreen 22'.

    The monitor is capable of displaying 1680 x 1050 (60 Hz). If I connect it to the analog port of the laptop, I can select the resolution and it works very well.

    If I connect it to (via a DVI - D to HDMI Cable adapter) HDMI port on my laptop, the highest resolution is only 1440 x 900. I already installed the drivers several times, but it does not show the resolution 1680 in digital mode.

    The strange thing is that the monitor is correctly identified with the resolution to 1680 x 1050.

    I use the extended view option, since I want to use both screens.

    Thank you

    What do you think of technical requirements?
    Maybe the graphics card does not offer this resolution for HDMI port. I don't think you can solve this problem with the latest driver from Toshiba. I know that you want to have the digital signal, but if nothing works try to use this adapter.

  • Satellite A660-1FM - maximum resolution of the display of the external monitor

    Hi all

    Maybe it is (probably) an easy question to answer, but I have a Satellite A660-1FM and want to use it with my external screen Samsung Syncmaster (forgot model). I got a HDMI-> DVI - D adapter and everything is going well, but here's my question:

    The page of specifications of toshiba for my laptop (http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-A660-1FM/1096013/toshibaShop/false/) shows a capacity of external resolution of:
    Maximum resolution: 2 048 x 1 536
    Max refresh rate: 100 Hz
    Resolution No interlaced with the maximum refresh rate: 1920 x 1 200

    But I get what I call resolution HDMI standard (no wonder, I guess) when connected HDMI-> DVI - D to my external monitor. I have already run this monitor on my desk at highest resolution of 1080 p, so the monitor is capable.
    Wondering what I'm missing here, or is that a matter of graphics card specification is more than possible to the output of the laptop?

    Thanks for any help
    Andy

    Hi Khaled,

    What is the native screen resolution of your external display?
    Can you connect your laptop and monitor with HDMI cable only why you need an adapter?

    To be honest I don't understand your question. If you already have the Full HD screen resolution why do you need more?

  • Satellite A100178/Geforce Go 7300 problem with LCD resolution 1680 * 1050?

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba A100178 pc (PSAA9). My question is about a new LCD from NEC P221W, that has a native resolution of 1680 * 1050. However, I can't put this resolution on my Toshiba A100178 machine (PSAA9).

    I have attached a CRT SONY earlier unfolding at 1600 * 1200 with no problem at all.

    It appears a Geforce Go driver (7300) issue when I google it. Somehow has the "lost" pilot the resolution 1680 * 1050. I tried some older versions of the driver (such as 179,48 most recent NVIDIA, 84.68 website to download from Toshiba site) without any help, the LCD insists clocked at 1280 * 1024. It is the highest resolution in display--> settings properties. Surely I would run my LCD to its optimal resolution.

    I also tried NVIDIA Control Panel--> change the resolution and create a customerize resolution of 1680 * 1050, but nothing's happened there either. I can't just create such a resolution.

    Any idea please? Thank you very much for your help!
