right screen resolution is not

I recently did a full restore and everything works well except his tells me the highest resolution my computer can get is 1024 x 768. B4, I was running at a higher resolution (screen size of laptop is widescreen 17 inches), can't remember which but I mean 1280 by 1024.  I'm trying to figure out how to get to the correct resolution and I have no idea because any option for me do not have display settings.  PC HP pav ent. 32 bit vista home prem. • Windows 7 screen resolution is not agree with me after I did a fresh install of Windows!

So after doing a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop two days ago, I have tried many unsuccessfully to try to resolve a problem of resolution resulting from the update. My resolution is automatically set to a resolution of 1024 x 768 very blurry and I cannot recover my original resolution. When I go to the next option and the last, on the resolution list, 1280 x 1024, the screen is completely distorted and stretched which is hard on the eyes and is certainly not the original resolution for my laptop before the update. It's like installing new Windows completely wiped out my original graphics drivers.

I also noticed with update that my graphics driver and the driver were set at "NVIDIA Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" which I am absolutely positive is not what I was using before, that I don't have a video card installed, even if I use not this laptop for games and is no longer for the school and other work. I'm 99% sure that I have a card NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 installed, that even though he is old, always worked well, but even in this case, I'm still not sure if it's the card I have, which could be the reason why I can't find the right drivers for it.

For reference (I'm running in Mode safe):

I tried to update this standard graphics driver, but he claims, there is no update. I run all my virus programs, I have all my updates installed Windows, and I used the boost driver to try to see if there is any other updates, but nothing has worked. I did a "sfc/scannow". I ran Microsoft FixIt, tried to look in the "list all Modes" under the control panel screen resolution and I currently can't 'uncheck' Modes 'hide' because it is all grayed out. Honestly, I think I have tried everything to solve this problem, but I think he came to where I think I need to ask someone who can find the exact video card I have in my computer so I can possible find the driver for it, and maybe that would solve the problem.

For reference, I also have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P25-S507. Running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. If any other type of information is necessary, I can give him, let me know how to get around to provide for you. I will continue to try to see what I can do but for the moment, help! D:

You do not use / install "driver booster" or other programs of type 'FixMyPC '.

You need to visit your computer makers portable, specific to your model support site and install all the available drivers (Chipset/graphics/lan, etc.)

  • Lock screen resolution does not display the correct image size

original title: lock the resolution of the screen and graphics

It's not just me, but I have problems with my lock screen. Any image I use the image is the right size and color aren't (almost like a filter of Sarcelles is imposed).

My native screen resolution is 5760 x 1080. I tried for some screen resolutions, both the original and the current. Even the original will not display correctly.

    Ideas?

Well, well, well. After you disable the lock for a while screen, today I decided to re-activated it. I love nail polish it gives for WIn8 only that my plan was to use a solid color.

Imagine my surprise when applied wallpaper appears with the correct aspect ratio.

Even more surprised that it allows me to use ANY wallpaper now and they look all perfect; 16:9, ultra wide-angle (surround), it does not matter. Everyone is properly rendered to the screen.

If anyone from MS is reading this, thank you. I know how Visual, aesthetic items will fall to the bottom of the to do list due to the perception of someone, they are trivial and not important.

You took the time actually solve this little problem. I am amazed, that perhaps MS really takes a step to circulate better over time. Really looking forward to what is to come!

    Happy 4th of July!

True color is actually 24-bit.  32-bit is True Color + Alpha channel.

  • G70 screen resolution will not change

HP G70 - 257CL running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2

Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Have this second hand with a broken screen. Until I could get a new screen, I used the HARD drive in another notebook successfully. Now reinstalled in the G70, have everything works fine except the screen resolution.

Reports adapter Device Manager works correctly. I uninstalled and reinstalled, updated the drivers. But no matter what resolution to choose for the screen, it remains the same.  I've currently set to 1440 X 900, 32-bit color, refresh rate of 60 Hz. But what I get is closer to 800 X 600. And it stays that way, no matter what I put it to.

To the best of my knowledge, I uninstalled all drivers associated with the other laptop, so there should not be anything interfere. Thanks for any help, that all the world can offer.

    Hi Barnaby,.

It doesn't sound like an exorcism is necessary. From all I have seen and know the computers that he shouldn't do that. Before you call the Ghostbusters or a priest try connecting an external monitor to see if you have the same problems.

  • NB200 - screen resolution is not enough to run the update

I am trying to install an update to a program that I already have in my NB200 and I can't because it says the resolution of the screen is not sufficient for the execution of this update.

Can someone suggest a 'fix' for this please?

    Hello

Well, I have no idea why no update of the request for the resolution of the screen because this should not affect the update procedures, but it would be interesting to change the resolution, and then to re-run the update.

I guess that you're using Win XP right click on the desktop-> properties-> settings

Here, you can increase the resolution of the screen.

On the other hand, it might be possible that your graphics card driver needs to be updated.
To do this, see European driver of Toshiba.

Last night was automatic updates from Microsoft.  Today, the resolution of the screen and the icons are huge.   Tried to change the resolution of the screen through Control Panel but can not find the same as before.  I tried to adjust the zoom level on Chrome but now everything is long and lean.

Tried to do a system restore, but it has a red x next to it and will let me not turn it on.  How to restore my resolution wallpapers and icons to their previous size etc?

  • I have Windows 7 and I would like to know why my screen resolution will not remain when I put it?

I need to know why there is above all the resolution of my screen jumps in and out?

Then, I would like to know if anyone can tell me why my monitor

He died after I turn it on?  Help

    Try:

    • Install the latest Windows 7 drivers for your graphics card;
    • check if your display requires specific drivers and if so install them (some views just use generic plug & play those)
    • check that the video cable is connected properly;
    • check that your graphics card is pressed fully home in its housing and that the necessary extra power cables him arae connected;
    • check that all the fans (CPU, graphics card, case - where they exist) are working and that the air vents are free of dust and debris.
  • The screen resolution is not more than 1152 x 864 resolution and also Aero will not be activated

I recently had a problem with hard drive in my Dell Inspiron N7010, and I need to replace the entire hard disk. After that, I bought windows 7 using the disc I had, and Windows 7 (pro) installed fine. However, several things happened. For some reason, my monitor won't go on a resolution of 1152 x 864 on my monitor 17 "! He's used to, but now it won't. Windows 7 also will not let me activate aero, because it says that my graphics card does not support it! (I know for a fact that he did it, because I haven't changed since I replaced my hard drive, and aero worked fine then)

If there are fixes to these issues, I would gladly appreciate.

    Thank you!

  • Satellite U200 - 10 H - how to use the screen resolution 1600 x 900?

    Hi all.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite U200 10 H. Recently, I bought the Samsung SyncMaster 2033 1600 x 900 monitor.
The graphics card doesn't support 16/9 1600 x 900. I insall alternative graphics (intel gma 945) driver ([http://www.intel.com/support/ru/graphics/sb/cs-028366.htm]), but it did not help. Now on toshiba 1440 x 900 necessary 1600 x 900. Help, please!

Features of the laptop; Win XP Professional
    graphics card; Intel gma 945
    monitor; Samsung 2033sw 1600 x 900

    Hello

In the worst case the screen resolution is not supported :(

But you can check the following:

Go to settings of display properties (right click on desktop > properties > settings). Click Advanced, and then select the monitor tab. * Uncheck * the box Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

After this check again the screen to external monitor resolution.

    I hope that helps! :)

  • I'm having a problem with the screen resolution cannot be superior to 800 x 600 pixels

All this began after I plug an i9 phone to my pc to load

later, to this day, when I turned on my pc screen resolution would not stay how I put it

He wants to just go to 800 x 600 pixels.

I ran microsoft security scan it found and deleted a virus java exploit cve 2010-4452

but still having trouble with the screen resolution

If the problem occurred after you plugged into your phone. I suggest to perform a restore of the system automatically, put it on a date 2 days before you had the problem. If this isn't the case, you can check the video card driver:

    Start > run > devmgmt.msc
Check your video card driver or see if there are any missing drivers
If its lack, then update or install the driver of your video card.
I hope this helps you! Good luck.
