  True color is actually 24-bit.  32-bit is True Color + Alpha channel.
   
  Understand the brand and model of the video card (as a processor nVidia or AMD/ATI - but which model) then get the latest video card driver and install it.

But no matter what resolution to choose for the screen, it remains the same.  I've currently set to 1440 X 900, 32-bit color, refresh rate of 60 Hz. But what I get is closer to 800 X 600.
