Transfer of warranty Dell 2209WA monitor problem

I ordered a LCD 2209WA off ebay and sent to the customer with the vendor order number and information inorder to make a transfer of warranty several times but they kept me referring to get a serial number which stand alone lcd monitor do not have. I told them that you must only order number or customer number inorder to do this but they keep giving me the runaround. Another way to do a warranty other than the call transfer?

  • Reference Dell 2209WA questions

I was given a Dell 2209WA monitor a few days ago. And I'm having a few problems. On the one hand, if I plug a vga cable through my computers DVI (with a DVI - VGA) adapter port, the monitor works fine. If I try right DVI, I get no fArrondi of VGA cable. I installed the drivers for the monitor, and it shows in my Windows 7 install x 6 Dell 2209WA - Analog.  I prefer to use the digital configuration.

In addition, in agalog, all the controls are locked, I can't change anything. Is it possible to unlock these controls in analog mode? I also couldn't find the serial number anywhere on the screen.

    Hi Cbx_sympamandu93,

Please check the picture below to locate the bar code data plate and the regulatory label on the monitor. This monitor has no serial number. Service tag is usually available for the monitors that are 24 inches and above in size. For more information, please consult the FAQ of monitors: http://dell.to/W7nRu0

In addition, it seems that the OSD Menu on the screen is locked because of which you are not able to change the display of monitor settings. The menu lock allows you to control access to the settings. When you select Lock, no user adjustments are allowed.

Please follow these steps to unlock the OSD Menu:

Press and hold the Menu button for 10-15 seconds to unlock. If this does not work, try the following steps:

    • Press Menu OSD button.
    • Access the option "other settings".
    • Below, select the "Menu Lock" option to the right and select 'Unlock'
    • Now, the Menu OSD is unlocked and you can change the settings of the monitor.

Once you have followed the steps above, it is likely to work the way you want. You can also consult the manual for the monitor that has its complete installation and usage guide according to what you can make changes and setup the screen or using the cable VGA or DVI from this link: http://bit.ly/WdQpY0

Please come back for any clarification.

  • Transfer of warranty monitor

    Hello

I work in the UNITED Arab Emirates. I want to buy a monitor swivel-able and so I went in the stores here in the UNITED Arab Emirates, to ensure the good warranty and after-sales services. However, including online stores, I can't find any. So I began to look through foreign sites such as amazon.com, which offers a nice price even with delivery included.

Now to the question: can I buy the monitor on amazon.com and guarantee its active here in the UAE UNITED?

I've heard of transfer of warranty int ' l, but I ask to make sure that it applies also to the monitors.

Also, if I can transfer the warranty, where and how can I ask in case of defects?

    Thank you

    kiagenwa

    kiagenwa,

Only products with a Dell service tag number can be transferred. Only 27 "and the largest monitors have a Dell service tag.

  • Firefox has only display problems in the upper left region of only my Dell U3011 monitor; the monitor does not have these problems with any other application

Some parts of the Firefox window are translucent, allowing the image of the desktop to show through. These regions are anything but great internet site central image which behaves normally. Unless the desktop is completely black this problem makes reading the tabs, address bar and the bookmark are difficult if not impossible. I encounter this problem only on my new Dell U3011 monitor. Firefox is the only application that has this issue on the Dell monitor. The monitor built into the laptop that animates the Dell monitor does not exhibit this problem. The laptop is a Lenovo W540 running Windows 7 64-bit. Thank you very much for your help. Steve Schupbach

  • (Redirected) Monitor DELL U2412M - light problems

    Hello

I just bought a DELL U2412M monitor, but have problems with its brightness settings. I found extremely bright, can't spend too much time in front of him without having headaches, at the present time, this monitor is useless for me. If I decrease the brightness of the Panel, it helps a little, but only if the brightness is of ~ 10, which is too low to produce a screen the user can enjoy. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you

  • Warranty on the desktop and monitor problem

Hi, I just bought "Dell Vostro3900 Mini Tower (more later than 2013)" with "Dell E2015Hv Monitor" separately yesterday (March 22, 2015). "." They said "both" have the 3 year warranty that will begin on the date of purchase and can be check by using "Service tag" on the dell Web site.

After I checked, it seems like my office guaranteed is already started on 'December 11, 2014' and there is no "Service tag" for the monitor.

    How should I proceed?

    Thank you.

    Rarehunter

Service tag numbers are only on the 27 "and especially the monitors.

If you need service, your order number is the identification number.

Use the monitor order number and contact Dell Customer Service.

  • HDMI on Dell ST2310 monitor resolution problem / Inspiron 537/Radeon 4350

I don't get resolution 1920 x 1080 on my Dell ST2310 monitor using a Radeon 4350 graphics card using the HDMI output.  I get about 1 "black bands black horizontal and vertical.   Strangely, I have perfected 1920 x 1080 when I use the DVI output of the video card to the monitor.  I checked the screen resolution setting in Windows 7 and on the monitor and it is 1920 x 1080 (monitor says just = 1080 p resolution).  Does anyone have advice?

    Success!  Thank you!

It worked for me, but my settings were VERY difficult to find (someone send this to ATI and Dell, the two companies isn't any idea of this parameter).

Here are my steps (for Version 2009.0614.2131.36800):

    1. open your Catalyst Control Center in advanced mode.

    2. find the top menu on the left titled: Graphics

    3. select «Desktop & poster»

4 STEP IMPORTANT: If you have 2 monitors you will see the large monitors in the Middle, and note the SMALL monitors in the lower left corner.  Right click on the LITTLE monitor on the lower left to change.

    5. Select "configure."

    6. click on the tab "scaling Options.

    7 set to 0

    8. click on apply

    9. click on Ok

You are finished.  I hope someone from ATI reads it and finds that it is much too complex even for an advanced user.  The menu item 'Configure' should have been included at the bottom of the fall of large monitors on the screen.  Why only on the graphics very small monitor in the lower left corner?

  • Some problems with the Dell U2713H monitor profiling

I bought the Dell U2713H monitor.

I can't find a lot of answers for profiling it. Company Dell does not have any instructions on this subject - so I think it's very bad.

For example, I am interested in the following questions:

    I create profiles with ' Solution of Calibration Dell UltraSharp"and i1Display Pro.»

They record the monitor LUT directly, or LUT-video card?

Now I did 4 profiles, but it is not clear what profile using mode CAL1 oder CAL2 my monitor color space?

For example. I made a profile with the color space sRGB, but I did not see it in any mode CAL1, CAL2 oder overall.

Download and install them DA 1.5.3:
    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?DriverID=VJVPH

Then make sure that yout GPU does not apply "color improvements."

Run DA and select calibration target and slot of calibration HW store. For example:

    -Preset: sRGB, 120cd/m2

ICC - version 2 (a MUST to validate it with 3rd party applications), Bradford or CIECAT02 chromatic adaptation, table function, 400 patches, "calibration 1" profile = CAL1 slot

Once completed, it will ask for a file name, for example, you choose "U2713H_CAL1.icm" and click OK. The profile will be created and set as the default profile for the screen of your operating system Wndows.

Lunge CAL1 has been stored in a LUT3D of calibration of the "sRGB" @ 120cd/m2. In "U2713_CAL1.icm", it is stored:

-a linear LUT (output = input), clealing all calibration in GPU

-actual behavior of range and gamma of OSD CAL1 predefined after calibration.

It goes the same for CAL2.

Don't forget that most applications like Photoshop need color management real mode the monitor OSD to have their good active ICM as a 'default' before opening this color managed application.
For example, if you calibrated CAL2 = AdobeRGB and have a U2713_CAL2.icm, and you want use CAL2 in Photoshop, this profile must be defined as a default value in the OS color management prior to Photoshop.

  • Dell 27 "display problem

    Hello

I have this 27 '' Dell Ultra sharp for about 4-5 months and today something happened, it will be the best explained by a picture I guess, but basically, the monitor covered in colored bands that blink and fill the entire screen, much like a static but I still see the desktop image type, it turned on or off rebooted the pc in the hope that it will fix, but nothing.

I must also say that the monitor was way hotter than the other that I have (not a dell).

Now, it is possible this could be a video card problem? or it's 100% the monitor, and also the warranty will cover the problem?

Left side, it is the monitor who works on the right is the dell

    http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/3430/55545455502664453167990.jpg

I actually managed to solve this problem, got an error this morning to say a word about the display port so I went by replacing it and its fixed.

PRO Tip: never buy these port mini display very cheap to display port haha.

  • I'm editing with a Dell U2412M Monitor.  How correctly calibrated, so that it matches my images off camera better?

I am editing in first Pro CC 2014 that using a MacBook Pro mirrored on a Dell U2412M monitor.  I noticed when I import my pictures on my Canon 5 d mkiii it seems very different than how I watched it off screen of the Canon.  It seems rather dull and darker than how I turned it and how he looks at the reading on the display LCD Canon.  So what's up?  that should I do in order to get the images after importation appears looking way better gun, or is there a problem with the transfer file via that changes the way that the images seem?

    Thanks for any help...!

    -Clint

I find a easy and cheap (if you already have the train) is to use my camcorder and wfm to put up my screen. Set up a color matte grey on the screen, point the camera at it and fixed the camera to color temp you want. Look at the op of the camera on a parade monitor and adjust the color of the screen until the RGB read the same thing. You can also do this with black and white to get the proper display limits. If you know it. or can adjust the gamma of your camera settings, you can use a similar technique using color bars to adjust the gamma of the display while watching the wfm.

  • HP Compaq and Dell Analog monitor compatible?

I wanted to add that I also tried to pass the power to the monitor, computer cords and also VGA cables and nothing has helped so far.  I always get the saving mode on my Dell e193fp analog monitor.  My Hp compaq 5750 is loading windows xp, and I hear music... just no activity of the screen except "power saving mode hit any key or move the mouse.  Two of these units have not been used in a while, the office and the monitor have been inactive for more than 6 months.  If I disconnect the vga monitor, the power button cable transforms whenm amber green verses he is hung up to the red, white, gree, box blue 'self test' floats on the monitor.  I am unable to get one of the buttons before you take me to a menu on the monitor or the other.

Connection cable vga card screen depends on whther or not your PC is configured with a video card. It is not necessary to open the PC. Just look at the back of the PC. If there is a card, it will be in one of the slots instead of the bottom basket I/O headers (as in the picture in my previous post).

Test the display on another PC or laptop to test the display and cable. This is the method of troubleshoting simpleest. If it doesn't, then the problem is with the display or vga cable.

  • Dell 2000FP monitor

    Hello

Our laboratory has recently bought a Dell Precision 650 workstation with
a LCD from Dell 2000FP monitor. We have installed our cards DAQ, a PCI-6733
and a PCI-6120 and everything seemed happy. Is the PCI-6733
connected to our support by the CA-1000 and the PCI-6120 is connected by
    a BNC-2110.

We were testing the configuration and noticed that there was a DC offset of
about 50 mV when monitoring of channel 0 of the PCI-6733 on a scope. The
lag was present on all output channels. No LabVIEW program
were running and no signals were sent. After trying a few
things, we turned off the monitor and the offset disappeared.

We then tried to connect the monitor to a different outlet. We tried
using on-screen RGB connection. We tried to use the DVI
    c
connection of the monitor. We tried to change the position of the
monitor. Nothing worked and the offset remained. We have also
to reproduce this offset using our old DAQ with different computers
DAQ cards and different graphics cards as well as the LCD display.

We then connected our old CRT monitor and the gap disappeared.

Everyone has problems with LCD screens? Someone at - it
experienced similar problems with this particular model, the Dell
2000FP? It is hard to believe that the offset is caused by the monitor
but all our tests so far have shown that it is indeed the case.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

    Brian,

I've never experienced this problem, and I certainly used LCD monitors with DAQ systems. Are video cards you are using PCI or AGP? If you only tried PCI video cards, and your motherboard has an AGP slot, I suggest to see if an AGP video card resolved the issue. In addition, if you move the LCD more away from the PCI-6733, is assigned offset?

  • Windows 7 does not recognize my Dell 2407WFP monitor - only as monitor not Plug-and-Play credits.

This monitor is able to execute the resolution 1920 x 1200 and it worked well on the same laptop Dell Latitude D820 under XP Pro SP3. However, Windows 7 does not recognize the Dell Monitor (shows as non-Plug-and-Play monitor credits) and will go no higher than 1600 x 1200. The monitor on the laptop will run in 1920 x 1200 and also 1920 x 1200 poster XP running inside a virtual machine, so the problem is with Windows 7 not properly recognizing the Dell 2407WFP monitor in VGA mode. All other operating systems work very well to support the material properly.

The laptop is running a NVidia Quadro NVS 120 M map. I tried several versions of Vista Dell drivers (do not have for Windows 7 - therefore Dell is not to follow). NVidia has no drivers for this card because it specially designed for Dell and all pilots must come from Dell (new Dell doesn't help here - I know that Windows 7 was just recently released but there are important suppliers for some time. Thought Dell was big by taking charge Microsoft with their business line of products but I think that even they cannot follow.

It seems that the problem is also Windows 7 is not correctly identify the Dell monitor and many other monitors as well. Unfortunately, I doubt that this issue will never be resolved by Microsoft. I have yet to see that all the issues MS resolved long. I begin to see the truth in the last pub in Apple vs MS on television. Well the time to upgrade the new hardware.

If anyone has a suggestion or a solution to solve this - I'm all ears!

    Don

wait until that Dell publishes drivers for win 7 or you can contact them for the same thing.

  • Starting Dell U2713HM resolution problem

Yesterday, I installed the Dell U2713HM monitor and connected to my desktop PC using the DVI cable supplied with the monitor. Everything works fine, except for one problem: when I restart the computer, the connection, the resolution is 1920 x 1200 and all my desktop icons are "rearranged". When I change the native resolution of 2560 x 1440 resolution and replace icons in position using the program Icon Restorer, everything is ok until the next reboot.

Monitor, I installed the drivers from the disk provided with the monitor, updated my graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TI to the latest version of the drivers from nvidia.com and the problem persists. Please advice.
