• 305006: failure of the creation of translation portmap

  I'm pretty new to all these cases firewall so my apologies in advance if what I ask is obvious to more experienced people.

  I have two servers inside my firewall and I'm testing the connectivity through my CISCO PIX 515E ping from one PC to the outside.

  My server far beyond the firewall has an IP address of 192.168.2.105.

  The other server has two network adapters, 192.168.2.106 and 192.168.1.107.

  Iface inside the firewall is 192.168.1.1.

  Iface outside the firewall is a.b.c.39

  PC outside is a.b.c.1

  I have the access rules for ICMP on the inside interface and external interface (allow a whole icmp).

  I set up a static NAT between 192.168.1.107 and external interface.

  I've implemented a global pool on the external interface and a dynamic NAT rule.

  My Setup has the following...

  Global 1 interface (outside)

  NAT (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

  public static interface (inside, outside) 192.168.1.107 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0

  When I try and ping the PC outside since the closest server to the firewall (192.168.1.107), it works fine. The static NAT rule means that my external PC thinks he received an a.b.c.39 IP address ping request and luckily sends its response.

  But when I try and ping 192.168.2.105 no ping request arrives on the PC from the outside.

  Instead I get a message in my PIX device manager saying "" 305006: failed to create translation portmap for icmp src: inside the Server1 dst outdoors: userPC1 ".

  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

  Remove the Static statement and access to 192.168.2.105 should work. It seems to me that the static statement is the dynamic substitution of your NAT. When you have that one public IP (interface) address, you must use the static to the Port Redirection statement only, and not a static definition of 1 to 1.

  Currently using LVFPGA 2013 SP1

  I used to compile my code oftenly, which is be necessary when using the FPGA module

  Today, I started getting a message of 'Process 'Translate' failed' in the journal of Xilinx while trying to compile. The compilation is not interrupted and continuing execution

  Same problems have already been listed here and here, and question is set in 2014 LVFPGA supposely (CAR associated with 428544)

  We will probably not change IDE version by 2014

  While here follow my questions:

  1. the compilation process will generate a bitfile of work as suggested in this post ?

  2. any information about the problem (why is it happening?). Could not find any useful CAR description

  3. What are the elements in the code I am trying to compile can lead to fail compilation / time consuming? No workaround recommendation/solution?

  I suggest you remove the remote PIX of the monitoring SNMP configuration interfaces. He will never be able to monitor these interfaces with success, so the data (or lack thereof) seems useless to me. If you can not do this, then Yes, I suggest either removing the syslog messages or move them to a message of higher level than you do not grasp on your syslog server.

• Photosmart Premium C309a series: full system restore fails to translate by scanning HP operation

  I've had recently have my drive hard iMac replaced. After performing a full restore of the Time Machine backup system, I found that HP Scan does not at all, despite the printer itself its other tasks normally. This means that ABBYY Fine Reader also does not work with HP Scan as his "calling application.

  I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 and run Apple Software Update and downloaded all outstanding HP software. Before my drive failure hard HP Scan worked fine. The complete restoration has installed the version that I have been ongoing now, 2.4.1.

  In order to get the Scan software of course I downloaded originally the complete package of HP in order to configure its features-however, the current version of the printer driver is 4.1.2.

  In the error window that appears when I try to start HP scanning, it seems that the problem may relate to profiles of scanning HP is not loaded into the library folder. However when I look I am not able to determine if something is missing. I suspect that they are there, but is not being recognized.

  As I already have all the software to operate the printer features, why should I repeat the download for the HP scan and the scan function operate again?

  Same problem here... I have no icons or tick boxes at all in Yahoo mail and it affects a good few other sites too, just small square boxes with numbers inside. It's really annoying!
