  Hey all, I downloaded the demo of Adobe Illustrator so that I can go to Lynda.com and follow with their tutorials on how to use Illustrator. Unfortunately, I've been so busy the last month I didn't have the time to do it, and now my trial of Illustrator has expired.  Can someone at Adobe the reset so that I can have days maybe 10 or 15 more trial please?

  I believe you can reinstall right under the trial, use preferably the full path in three steps (the otherwise strange things may persist):

  (1) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences),

  (2) run the cleanup tool, see the link below,

  (3) reinstall.

• I keep trying to download a free trial of Illustrator, and nothing happens! Help!

  I keep trying to download a free 30 day trial of Illustrator on my PC and nothing happens. I am able to download the .exe file and it begins to run, but then the window disappears, and the creative cloud window never opens. I also can't currently open creative cloud, even if I have already installed. I was able to open creative cloud and select Illustrator there are a few tests, but nothing would happen. It would show progress but then stops and the window would disappear.

  Pardon my French, but... WTFFFFF?

  I installed a trial of Illustrator from Adobe on my macbook pro. This is the release of 2014 of the adobe Illustrator. I want to draw a picture using the custom trace button.

  I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/color pencil, drawing, in the document. I tried to scan and then placing it as jpeg, bitmap and a tiff file. I tried scanning and place then, in color and in black and white. The scan mode that I use is flat. Adobe Illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of the eleven preset buttons (e.g. photo high fidelity), but cannot me click on the record button custom. The custom trace button is gray while all other buttons are white.

  Does anyone have any ideas how I could track custom?

  Just it trace, and then change the options later. The follow-up is 'live', you can press the buttons and see what happens.

  Internet is not necessary to run the trial version.

  Adobe ID control arrives and can be firewalls or host file can be limiting the appeal of Adobe software to the Adobe server.

• Downloaded trial of Illustrator, it seems to be there, but it does not start

  I downloaded a trial of Illustrator into Adobe Download Assistant.  It created a folder called Adobe Illustrator CS6, inside which is a file called Illustrator_16_LS16.dmg.  By clicking on which opens the following window:

  And a double click on the Setup icon does absolutely nothing. No error, just nothing at all.  Am I a fool?  How to start?

  If I click on install in the Finder, I can see that it is version 6.0.335.0

  I'm on a MacBook Air, run OSX 10.7.5.

  I finally solved it myself.  The figure should be documented as I can't be the only person who ever has this problem.

  Essentially, a reboot solved the above problem so that I could actually run the app install, but it wasn't the end of the story.  I had problems with 'Media DB Error 18' and finally short - cut a very short story - the solution is to restart in Safe Mode (which means now the SHIFT key as soon as you hear the startup tone).  Then you can get the installation to proceed with the installation.  Restart again to return to normal mode.

  I downloaded illustrator cc 2015 trial version and now you want to uninstall it, but when I uninstall the creative dialog box cloud rises and says: INSTALLATION of the UPDATE, TRY to CONNECT to THE SERVER AND THE PROGRESS BAR NEVER MANAGES to SPEND 2 percent. From what I've seen online that I need to uninstall with creative cloud. Can anyone help?

  You can uninstall Windows uninstaller as well if you are using windows.

  Go to control panel and open Add or remove programs and uninstall it from there.

  If you use Mac go to the library of applications and open commercial open adobe installers and uninstall Illustrator was from there.

• Trial of Illustrator CC does not let me use Image path?

  I recently downloaded the demo of Illustrator CC for my Macbook pro update and eventually found that it won't let me use image trace or even pull up to the tracing control panels... I can pull up the area of follow-up work, but if I try to click 'trace image' nothing happens and if I try to open the presets dropdown, even when nothing happens... The title of the principal in the drop-down menus, track of the image or a form any tracing is not found...

  If the tracking is not included in the trial and I just did not get the memo or something wrong?

  You can start on the following and we hope that you will get only the easier until it works, or someone comes up with something better.

  Here is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted preferences):

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  You can use the new feature "Trial reset" AI 17.1.0 return once your 30-day trial.

  Perhaps the uninstall was not clean and therefore, you are not able to install HAVE it again. You can use the cleaning of http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html?promo id = GYTAU> to clean the remains of Ia CC only. Then, launch Creative Cloud Desktop App to see the option 'Try' still HAVE. Click on that to install I 17.1.0.

  Hi, just trying to download a trial version of illustrator to see if I find useful enough to invest in it for the University. I followed the instructions I can say, but I have questions. Click to download the Wizard installation that I can see in my downloads later, but when I click it to open it or run is nothing? I tried everything to get it to install or open, but nothing happens at all. I'm on Windows 8 if it means something to this?   Move the installation program at another location. By default, win 8 prevents the execution of any program directly from the downloads foilder. As an alternative, just try this:
